maybe they ''misread'' certain passages, but, back to the muslims, they convert-kill because they believe that Mohammed, the creator of islam, did the same in Mekka, where the people didn''t want to listen. Yes, it is all a struggle of power, but the religion is the core. Catholics might want to show they are stronger, but if there were no catholics and protestants, they would not have someone to show that to, in other words would not fight. Without religion, a lot of conflicts would not be fought, because there were no parties to show their power. Yes, WO 1/2 could not be evaded but the catholic and protestants in Ireland could, partially. Perhaps still english vs. irish, but it would be partially different groups. Witchhunts, razzia, they are all religion-based... because someone had to be p4wned, In some cases one country p4wns eachother, without countries, those fights would not take place.. then fights between tribes would take place, not between countries. And in some cases, one religion needs to p4wn another.. and those conflicts are usually lot bigger then small tribefights.
So yes, they do it for power, but religion is more then just an excuse... they do it partially for religic power, control over loads of people, it is also a cause..

It seems we both carrey a point in some matters. Speaking of Muhammed, yes, when he travled to mecca, any one who did not listen to him met there end at his sword. That a historile fact. Its also a histroicle fact that he was the "villiage idiot" of his home town, and that the reason he launched islam was to personaly attack catholosism for what he saw when he visited Rome once. I won't push the last two facts...can't take another internet jihad on my hands.

ANy ways, its not so much that riligion was the "cause" of those wars in liste din his signature, its how its stated at the end, as though riligion is evil. My point before all of this was this: If he can put that in his signature, knowing its goign to offend a few people (perhaps that was his desired effect), then I can post "Seig Heil" all the damn day if i want.

Also its just a signature, if your going to get upset over as simple as that then you should ignore it. Just because some of the the stated events werent about Relgion doesnt mean that religion itself is not the cause of many things, Good or Bad.
