Seph was out by the fountain, his head nodded to the side. He took a deep breath and blew on the iced-over water. A small hole melted through and he poked the ice. It wobbled the water below, and Seph soon sat down on the edge of the fountain, drawing with his finger in the ice.

The water rose out of Seph's hole in the fountain and wound around his hand and wrist.

Seph's head nodded to the other side as the water twisted and wound around his arm. Multiple rings of fire 'melted' into view around the trail of water.

The water froze and gave a sharp tug as the rest of the fountain unfroze, trying to get Seph wet.

Seph felt the tug and barely managed to keep his lower body underneath him as he slipped into the thigh-high water. The rings of fire intensified, spinning a bit, not trying to melt the ice, but just adding to the little spectacle.

Nyl came down from the roof, grinning. "A little wet, thief-sensei?"

In a bit of playful retaliation, he sent his open palm into the fountain water and in her direction. He smiled softly. "A little?" He rose his hands up, lifting a leg out of the water. He stepped onto the edge and grinned at her.

The water spun up from where he splashed it and came to orbit itself around Nyl's hand. She laughed. "Sorry, you're out of your element."

He shook his legs so they at least weren't dripping wet, then hopped off the fountain. He smiled at her and nodded. "No kidding. Water beats fire any day." He put his hands behind his head. Hidden, his fingers began to drum against his head. A small flame moved next to the water in her hand, and quickly died out upon contact.

Nyl sat down on the edge of the fountain, playing with more of the water. "True. But they have equal potential for creativity."

Seph nodded and pocketed his hands. His body heat was already beginning to dry his pants off. More firey displays erupted to life around the water she was playing with.

Nyl laughed again. "Fireworks?" She dropped the water, turning to look at Seph instead. "So what's up?"
