Zei Vandrad Zei's laughs at Neko "That'd be none of your business." He holsters the gun, gripping the knife tighter. "Why do I see a Demon with two Vampires? Huh?" He takes a step forward. "Why is it none of my buisness?" Neko asked, putting her hadn behind her back as if to clasp them, but in reality she was gripping two of her own knives, veiling form sight. SHe didn't trust Zei with that knife. She smelled something, but it was too far away to clearly identify. It smelled like lycans...

Neko just stared at Rikku as hse ran off. Was Velante even in good enough shape to get back to their hideout? Would Zei attack him? Neko wouldn't put it past him and made sure her knives were ready.

"Why should it be any of your business. It's the loss of the Lycan Council, not us Demons." Zei looks about. "Hmm.. familiar.." He shakes the thought from his head. "Be glad he's dead. Once less Lycan that threatens our race." He walks closer to Neko.

"Why should it be yours?" Neko asked, standing straight and still. She would not back down from him. She was as much a Demon elder as he was. "I'm never glad for any death, be it Lycan, vampire, demon, or human. All life is sacred to me, and it should be to you." She was well and truly angry now. She hissed at him, her eyes glaring daggers at him.

"I'm not making it my business." He growls at her, telling him that all life should be sacred to him. "You are not a true Demon. You are weak. You deserve to have this very knife driven into your heart" He looks down at the knife. "Oh yes, what a sight that would be. But no, I'm not going to spill the blood of another Demon. Even if that Demon is a disgrace."

"You think I deserve to die?" Neko asked, putting her hadns on her hips, knives till illusioned. "Just becuase I think life is sacred doesn't make me weak, Zei Vandrad. It doesn't make me a disgrace, it doesn't make me less of a demon than you, whatever you may think. It makes me stronger, it makes me who I am." She growled at him. "And if you think I should die, well," She laughed, and then turned serious. "I'd like to see you try."

Serena, please, go away. I don't trust that Zei will leave you alone. Neko tried to tell Serena by thought. She hoped the psychic vampire heard her.

Zei laughs then suddenly appears behind Neko. Right behind her. "Oh really now? I don't try, I do. Thinking that all life is sacred does make you weaker. It in no way makes you stronger. It means that you feel more emotions than other Demons. When you don't care about other forms of life it means that you can get on with your own life when others die, it means that you can kill without a second thought. That you can kill for any sort of payment, no matter who from." He laughs. "You could never kill, could you?"

Neko I do not care if he leaves me alone or not. Plus you know that you would never hurt another elder or another creature.

I know that. It's that I don't trust him not to try and hurt you. Neko thought to Serena before answering Zei.
"No." Neko said bluntly. "I can't kill. There are too many memories that get in the way." She closed her eyes, snd sighed. "I pity you, Zei." Neko said. "You have no humanity, if you ever beleived in such a thing. You're jsut a shell, while I still have my soul, if should call it that." She smiled sadly. "So I have more emotions? Big deal. I can still get along with deaht just fine, I've had to, to get this far." She suddenly disappeared, running faster than any eye could follow to get ontop of a building.
"I truly pity you Zei!" Neko shouted to him. "You can never fall in love can you? You can't feel happiness with another!"

Strange. I would think Neko would have atleast stayed longer to prove her point. *Serens justshruged her shoulders and walked on. she had no idea where she was going*

Zei looks down and growls. "Love? Love is for... It's for those who have to depend on others! I count only on myself. Humanity? I don't need it. I'm not human! Emotions will be the death of mortals.. who needs them.. All they do is hold you back." He looks at the knife. "You'll see blood soon my friend, very soon." He grins, still looking at the knife.
