*she watches him carefully* we all have regrets from our past, its no use moping over our choices... The thing that matters is whats happening now and Angel still needs all the friends and family she can have... Vincent cant be there to protect her all the time, and even less later on.. *she smiles to herself, not saying anymore*

He found the woman easier to confide in, and the comment she made had him thinking, if she knew a little about Mouse maybe...it could bring them closer.
Mouse, I found her in a alley, she was...abused to put it mildly. I wasn't the fatherly type, I'm a bounty hunter...I take down evil, I can't even have a woman....if my body permitted, because I can't comit, I might not make it home at night and that isn't fair to drag a lady through....
He looked at the woman.
But Mouse..she was so scared...so hurt...I took her to the e.r. and they said she would go into foster care if i didn't take her...since I was the uncle...or so I told them to get her treated....
He drank from the bottle
Well, she never talked for the longest time...so I called her Mouse...and she grew on me...an I raised her....
He looked at his hands
I raised her and she cared for me, changed the wraps, never once whinced at the horror beneath these straps...that hold me prisoner....I envy your husband.

The ShiverMan Yes...I know she does...but he has gotten to touch her...she is affectionate and it bothered him...a gift he takes for granted....He holds his hands up to herI have never had the chance to run my fingers through her hair, to feel her skin..I have never touched her. *she sighs* her affection didnt bother him... it bothered me, I am the one who asked him to stop her. *she hangs her head slightly* thats another reason why I'm not a good mother to her, I am too possesive of vincent, I have lost too many to other women and I cant stand to see him being touched by another.... So please, do not blame him for something that is my own fault. *She looks up at him questioningly* you see her as your own daughter? or as something more? Please forgive me if I sound rude, but I'm just curious..
