oh good!
Anyway, the idea in question starts off in a boarding school with the main character Hannah - who hasn't been home since she was 7.
She doesn't remember anything about her home, but it's rumoured that she's royalty.
She's called home when she's 17, the event for which is her 18th birthday.
She's greeted by she siblings, the prince and princesses of the kingdom.
Her eldest sister - Princess Rose is in charge while their parents are away.
And her brother Prince William has imprisoned himself for some odd reason. And none of them are very stable (sanity wise)
but they all have some odd and.or unique power.
Hannah is to come into her power on her 18th birthday and she's going to be the strongest of all, simply because she's the most sane and is calm and collected and knows how to use it.
And a somehow this power will take care of the darkness that has been invading the kingdom.
ehh, it's not really all that thought out just yet, it needs a villian and stuff. But what do you think so far?

MingSao Is it an all girls boarding school? umm... sure, if you want - that's not really the main bit of the plot so it doesn't matter just yet.

I like it though. It sounds like Princess Diaries with an awesome fantasy twist.
The villian could be somebody who wants the throne.

You'll probably have to think it out a bit more. I've seen this a lot in roleplays, and overused ideas are never quite well received.

it's based on real life... sort of.
Or how my sister hoped real life would be.
You see my sister came up with this idea, I'm just supposed to be doing concept art and character design.
But the main character is me because she thought about me a lot, and when I was 7 I went to live with my grandmother, and didn't have to suffer a lot of the bad things that happened when Mom couldn't be there for us when her and Dad split up....

yes, opinions... well...
i have just gone back and read, and i like it! :3
i think it's kinda good that she comes into her power on her 18th birthday, but in a way, it doesn't make sense that the event happens on her 18th birthday, because then how would she also learn to use a power she's just received? she has to at least have some time to adjust to it, you know? that's the only hitch i can see. i understand what you mean, though.
it sounds like an excellent start.

RaikouNeko You'll probably have to think it out a bit more. I've seen this a lot in roleplays, and overused ideas are never quite well received. you see a princess coming home to psychotic siblings to inherit a power she doesn't know about and save her kingdom? I need to start roleplaying again.

Not all mashed together. xd It's just the main ideas: royalty, insanity, and powers, that are so overused that you'll need a lot of other original stuff to make your idea seem original.
