Allen nodded as everyone caught up. "Well met." He chuckled before Maddy kicked the door in. As he walked in, there was a strange lack of grunts, "I just watched at least two dozen grunts march in here..." He stated, "There's gotta be a hidden door or something." He moved to the walls investigating paintings, corners, bookcases, everything. For a moment, he thought he heard something near the wine shelf he'd JUST investigated, but when he turned, nothing had changed.

Caleb follows the others into the cafe and looks for a way into the lab as well. He looks up during his search to see a unknown man walk into the cafe and grab a bottle of wine. Almost asking the man if he thought it was a bit early to be drinking until Caleb saw him pull on it to reveal a door.
"Uhh..." he mumbled as the man walked through, the door closing behind him.
Caleb's Marshtomp moved over to the bar to check things out there while his trainer stood there pondering what had just happened. Then it spotted a pretty red button under the counter and over a shelf stocked with cups.
How could he possibly resist pressing that button? He didn't.
Caleb walked over to him, "did you find something?" His Marshtomp just looked up and grinned.

Maddy suddenly burst out of the kitchen and noticed Caleb and his Marshtomp standing around behind the bar. Approaching them, she noticed that Caleb's Pokémon had found a button.
"MUST. PRESS."
She took a Poké Ball off her belt and slammed it at the ground, her Garchomp appearing in mid-air and landing on the other boy and his Pokémon, successfully pressing the button in the act.
"I feel better now." Maddy said as a door opened up behind the bar, revealing a secret hallway.
She recalled her Garchomp. "Let's go, everyone!"
She lead them down the newly opened path.
As she walked, she noted that the path was sloping downward, indicating they were slowly going further and further underneath Lumiose City. This had to be the way to the lab.
When they neared the end of the path, it opened up into a large room with several doors, all labeled something weird and technical.
"Hmmm..."

Ace followed maddy and the rest of the group, before they came to a halt. "Why are we stopping?" She asked before raising a brow before glancing at the huge doors in front of them. She started at it, figuring out whether her Boss had a plan. She waited for a few seconds giving some time to her boss-
You know what? Forget being cautious. They did that last time, and it made little to no progress. It's time to fight them head on.
And without warning, Ace let out her squirtle, Leon. They both looked at each other as if they are reading each others mind. "Boss Lady, you might not like this but..."
And then, she and Leon attempted to kick the doors (or pull them with all their might) as hard as they can.

"Wait what are y-" Caleb didn't even get to finish. He and his pokemon were suddenly underneath a decent sized pokemon. Large enough to pin him and his Marshtomp down. For a split second he thought it was Team Flare attacking them. Until of course the Garchomp was recalled back by its trainer.
Maddy called everyone to join her.
"What just happened...?" Caleb mumbled. His Marshtomp was not pleased. Before his pokemon could retaliate, Caleb quickly recalled him and scrambled to his feet, dusting himself off. Well at least he hadn't been squashed flat?
A bit perturbed, Caleb followed down the passageway. He stood in the back, not really seeming interested in the doors.

The man looks around the area he entered. He turns around to see if any of the members had followed him but it seems they went another way.
He runs a finger around his ear, turning on a small bluetooth style earpiece.
"It seems they've fallen into the trap." He whispers. "..... Yes she didn't seem interested in talking to me..... No.... No...... At least with this distraction we will be able to act... Yes I agree, they should be fine."
He then begins moving on ahead, ready to act if he is ambushed by a Flare grunt.

Allen looked down to where is Pawniard would have been were he still following the Colonel. The trainer sighed loudly, "Kell..." He followed everyone down the passage.

One of the doors Ace had forced open piqued Maddy's interests.
"Let's go this way..."
She said, heading through it.
It lead into another, darker hallway with weird science-y LED lighting.
"I wonder where this may go..." Maddy mumbled to herself, but not before a group of Team Flare grunts was spotted walking towards them at the other end of the hallway.
"Well then..." She reached to her belt and pulled off a Poké Ball. "Time to fight!"
[Reserve. Everyone fight one Team Flare grunt with 1 or 2 un-evolved Pokémon.]
Maddy sent out her Fletchinder as the Team Flare grunt released a Numel.
"Acrobatics!"
Fletchinder was not weighed down by an item, so the attack hit for double damage! Numel countered with Rock Tomb, hitting Fletchinder quite hard and even reducing her Speed stat!
"It's okay, girl. Use Acrobatics again!"
The next attack was the finisher, causing Numel to faint.

"Oh goodie..." Caleb muttered sarcastically. He swatted at the Zubat his opponent sent out, before sending out his Fennekin. "Psychic..." he ordered. The Flare grunt's Zubat crumpled to the ground after being hit by a telekinetic energy. The Fennekin's eyes stopped glowing once the Zubat was recalled.
Caleb called her back once the next pokemon was sent out, replacing her with his Chinchou. His Chinchou looked at him curiously, tilting to the side a little. "Go on..." he told her, gesturing to the Houndour. She slowly nodded before turning and sending a spray of bubbles from her mouth at the fire type. The grunt called back the canine and fled.

A Team Flare Grunt came out and challenged Yamato a battle. He sent out Houndor.
"Come out, Mizu"
The Clauncher emerged from his Pokéball. The Team Flare Grunt told it to use Bite. The dog used its fangs and bit the lobster. However, Mizu quickly pulled it off with his bigger pincher.
"Mizu, use Water Pulse"
The Clauncher opened his pincher and shot out several bubbles at Houndor. The dog tried to endure it, but in the end, it was knocked at the wall behind. The grunt returned his Pokémon and run away.

The Grunt approached. Allen was still a bit preoccupied with locating his Pawniard, "Kell!" He shouted, completely ignoring the grunt.
"Hey!" The guy called to him.
"Hold on." He threw up a finger, "Gimme a second." He turned away from the man to look around the other battles, then he saw the glint of steel that brought his eyes to find his Pokemon cheering on a battle between one of the grunts and Caleb. Allen shook his head and called to him one more time. The Pokemon finally responded, dodging around a bunch of the ongoing battles to slide into place infront of Allen and the grunt.
The grunt sighed, "Are you ready now?" Allen grinned in response. "Good, Go Inkay!"
Allen called out to his Pokemon for an X-Scissor. Kell's claws glowed a bright green before slashing across the tiny squid, instantly knocking it out.
The grunt grumbled something resembling a curse when he returned his Pokemon and let out his Poochyena. One Brick Break Later, the pup was sprawled across the floor, whimpering to be returned to it's ball.
Allen regrouped with everyone.

A flare grunt caught her eye before unleashing his poochyena to bite her. With her squirtle nearby, he went into Ace's defense before tackling the dark pokemon away from his trainer, and distracting it with his presence
"Tackle!"
The Poochyena dash toward the turtle, but misses by a narrow margin. Leon jumps into the air and then...
"Leon, Watergun!"
A beam of water hits the pup, critically fainting it. The grunt scowls before escaping away for he had a lack of pokemon. Ace then gave a high five to her squirtle.

Michael saw the flair grunts coming and looked at the new guy. "Hey how bought we team up Caesar?" He then pulled a pokeball off of his belt and threw it. Out popped Spike, his Electrike. Caesar looked at the older Aquan and nodded before sending out his Squirtle, Killer. The two grunts that were in front of them smiled and threw out one pokeball each. A Poocheyena and a Houndour, which immediatly tried to attack Killer but missed. Killer retaliated with water gun which hit the Houndour and knocked it out. Spike on the other hand was charging its power before releasing a massive thundershock which practically fried the little black dog. "Not bad kid." Caesar smiled and said. "Not bad yourself dude."
