[Kyla: Shipwreck Cove: Docks>Water]

"Sounds fair." she replied after surfacing again and watched Kyle idly kick his feet as he mused over the most logical location for Atlantis to be.

"...so..if the rock needs to transition into sea bed-and provide someplace for the foundations to be solid.. far enough for safety of course too, I mean, I don't see many mer-people around save for ourselves...it could be a good few miles but not too far we'd be making any super long treks out into the middle of the ocean. I wonder how concealed it is too."

She floated on her back, eyes looking up at the bright moon and the faint speckle of stars against the deep navy canvas in the sky.

"I wonder... are the mer-people from Atlantis, making nice with the mer-people of the Pirate world?..Last time I checked they were..erm...of different persuasions when it came to diet- to put it lightly."

Oh yes... Man Eating Mermaids vs Atlantis Mermaids...
Particular mermaids aside- there were bound to be some difficulties with the more dangerous creatures of the Pirate universe clashing with the more peaceful folk of Ariels kingdom... Triton would stretched thin to protect his home if that were true.
Oh good lord.. the Kraken!

With a lift Kyla surveyed the tip of her brand new tail and smiled with delight. This was cool, this was very cool, and suddenly she felt WAY better for choosing to come.

[Matthew :-: Shipwreck Cove :-: Rose Ramp]

Matt slowly trudged out from the confines of the airship, just after some of the Earthlings dove off. His shoulders were visibly slumped from exhaustion; the combination of meeting with everyone, fighting his best friend, and then sparring with nearly everyone one the ship had drained him greatly. He turned to the person closest to him. He remembered her from the sparring, Jenny was it?

"Howdy lady, any idea what's going on here?" he said groggily. Matt was entirely prepared to go to sleep if everything was fine. It was his sense of duty that made him force himself out, but he felt he could live with Godzilla about to rampage at the moment.

[Elleon ~ Paris ~ Beauvais Manor Ballroom]

Elleon smiled and set her teacup onto its saucer before placing it onto the table, "I thought you'd never ask, love."

She took his hand and walked at his side to the ballroom floor. The guests that they walked past all either nodded or bowed to their hostess and her esteemed guest of honor. Once near the center of the floor the song gradually changed to a brisk waltz. The dance steps were well known, even second nature to the blonde. Elleon's counterpart had grown up learning how to do all the classical dances.

"So, how has your day been? You've been rather busy lately, busier than I for sure."

[Noelle ~ Shipwreck Cove ~ Uppermost Balcony]

With a sigh, the small agromancer decided that she needed to address her questions with Riku before she talked herself out of it. Trying not to seem nervous she approached the silver-haired boy. Her hands were crossed over her chest, fighting off the chill of the night air.

"Hey. I don't want to seem weird or anything, but can I talk to you? Somewhere private? Well, as private as we can find, anyway." She said, keeping her voice a little low so as not to draw attention.

[ Ajora : Paris : Beauvais Manor Ballroom ]

Ajora, unlike the graceful Elleon, was not so fortunate to have acquired such a skill for dancing. Quite the contrary, save a single musical, his lesser had never danced a day in his life. However, Ajora had the advantage of having observed others beforehand (though the tempo had sped up) and of being even quicker than Kyle on his feet; as such, though it was a bit robotic, he was capable of keeping up with each step and motion out of sheer reflex. It only took a few steps before Ajora was moving as naturally as those around him.

Though perhaps still not quite as gracefully as his hostess.

"It's been a touch hectic, certainly," he explained with a tired smile. "Setting things up in the Caribbean, getting the newborns, keeping Davy and Cutler on their leashes, appeasing the fae witch... it's nice to be able to take a break from it all."

"And what of yourself?" he asked, lifting a brow. "I was quite curious about your departure last night, and lo, you return with dear Delia. What have you been up to, you cryptic siren?"

[ Kyle ; Sora : Shipwreck Cove : Decks ]

"Eh, to my knowledge, the mermaids of Caribbean legend weren't so concerned with the deep sea. They focused around isles like Whitecap Bay and Isla Sirena, and acted more as sirens than the typical mermaid; the Atlantican mermaids are more deep-sea dwellers, especially considering Triton's abhorrence of the world above the sea," Kyle responded to Kyla, looking up to see if anyone else was coming. It didn't seem to be so. "Of course, I could very well be wrong, but considering we didn't see any mermaids in At World's End..."

"There are other mermaids? Like, from Jack's world instead of Atlantica?" Sora asked, looking genuinely curious. "What's so special about their diet?"

"It's mostly human," Kyle responded nonchalantly, hardly paying attention at this point (and as such, he didn't get to see Sora's shocked and worried face). He was too busy making a last glance over and noticing no one coming along. With a shrug, he slid into the water; in a glimmering glow, his clothing vanished entirely and his lower body became the golden half-moon beta once again. It was now obvious that, like Joe, he had a deep scar on his abdomen, on the opposite side of the bo-wielder's.

"Well, it's been about ten minutes, so I suppose we'd better set off," Kyle began, slowly treading water toward the Cove's exit. "Night's not getting any younger."

And with that, he dove under the water; he didn't speed off, but he was now fully underwater (what need did he have to stay above?), and Sora followed suit.

[ Riku : Shipwreck Cove : Rose Ramp -> Training Room ]

As the others departed, Riku couldn't help himself-- he let slip a yawn, likely earning the eyes of any nearby. Hey, he was a Keyblade Master, but he got tired just like anyone else.

Still, there was too much going on for him to consider sleeping. After a few moments of thought, he sent out a Charm message to anyone going to Atlantica:

"Hey, if you find anything out of the ordinary, go ahead and report it back to me. I'll be up for awhile."

It was about that time that Noelle walked up, her body language screaming anything but comfortableness. When she asked to talk to him somewhere private, his mind could only go to one thing. After all, what could a strong young woman like this want from an experienced young man like him?

Obviously, it could only be...

... Darkness.

"Sure. I'm pretty sure everyone's out of the Training Chamber since they're tired, so we'll have some privacy there," he responded, motioning with a wave of his hand to follow him back into the ship.

---

Upon entering the Chamber, Riku's first action was to make sure that the Time Compression wasn't running; he didn't want to miss out on any messages due to a lack of signal, or however this chamber worked.

"So, what's bothering you?" he asked, turning to face her with a raised brow as he moved a strand of hair out of his eyes.

Kyla: Shipwreck Cove: Under Water]

The keybladers reaction was understandable and Kyla was thankful for the dragoons insight on the matter. However, lack of evidence isn't evidence of lack there of. If..that's how the saying goes.
Still, best to prepare for the worst, and hope for the best, and even if they did swim into some man-eating mermaids of this world-.. they only ate men so it seemed.
Kyla would have to keep both eyes on her companions just in case.
Once Kyle gave the cue to head out, Kyla dipped her head beneath the surface and followed. Once she was below the surface, with the water moving over her new body, the water filling her lungs like air, her mind was a buzz with one thought-

‘omgmygoshImamermaidomgmygoshImamermaidomgmygoshImamermaidomgmygoshImamermaidomgmygosh
ImamermaidomgmygoshImamermaidomgmygoshImamermaidomgmygoshImamermaid!!!!’

~ Yes yes yes we get it! Wow, for a moment I could have sworn you liked this aibou.~

‘-omgmygoshImamermaid!! I am a freaking MERMAID! I still can’t believe this- I can swim almost a hundred feet below the ocean surface maybe more! I have a really neat tail- I can see perfectly infront of me- and and- I can’t breath under water! Ohhhh the weightlessness! I feel like I’m flying.’

As their progression through the surf continued Kyla was suddenly overcome by a wave of giddiness she swam in a spiral on the way, releasing a truly girly giggle and squeak. All sleepiness had left her, she was pumped on adrenalin and the sheer glee of living out one of her childhood dreams.
Sure they were on a mission, sure they had the world- er- worlds at stake, but you got to take time to enjoy the small things. Right?
When she realized she must’ve looked like a frolicking dolphin she quickly tried to regain her composure, looking at them from over her shoulder with a sheepish expression.

Now that she could observe Joe, Kyle, Dani and Sora with such clear vision, she could see the full extent of the damage on the Dragoon and Bow Staff wielder. The scars looked.. angry. They seemed to be sporting matching scars on their abdomens. The question clawed at her, but she feared too much curiosity would only make for further strained conversation.
Still she couldn't help but be drawn back to those scars, something about..how they looked. Like slash marks...

The sound of Riku's voice coming over the charms brought her out of her rude staring and she hesitantly replied back; "Alright then, but please don't push yourself either. I'm sure if we called you while you slept you'd still get the message."

Especially if they happened to be screaming over this telepathic intercom of theirs.

[Elleon ~ Paris ~ Beauvais Manor Ballroom]

The small blonde noticed Ajora's initial unease but he caught up quickly. He wasn't the best dance partner she had ever waltzed with, but there was little complaint to be had. It was commonly said that a way a man danced and how well he maintained rhythm was a reflection upon . . . other activities.

That's one theory I'd be willing to test~

"Busy busy busy, the queen bee never sleeps." Elleon replied, mind trailing from her previous lewd thoughts to the conversation at hand, "Delia is really the result of an interesting dealing with a nice woman you might be familiar with. Her name is Ultimecia--ever heard of her? It was an interesting trade, but I'm not sure her end project worked the way she likely intended it to; my 'other' is alive after all. But regardless, things went well on my end. As for my other adventures . . . well, this actually brings me to what I wanted to talk to you about."

Her omission of her endeavors in Narnia were left out intentionally. If he couldn't figure it out himself then there wasn't a need for her to tell him everything she was up to. The Replica spun out underneath Ajora's arm, and then back in. She pressed closely to his person and returned her hand to his shoulder. Though the surrounding company would likely not understand what they were talking about should they overhear, it was preferable that they not become to concerned. These people were Paris' aristocrats, after all, meaning they could be mighty nosy.

Elleon lowered her voice some and continued in an enticing way, "Have you ever heard of a magical artifact called the Black Cauldron?"

[Noelle ~ Shipwreck Cove ~ Uppermost Balcony --> Training Room]

Noelle followed behind Riku silently, thinking about what she had just said to him and chiding herself the whole way. What a great way to ask him away from everyone, couldn't she have thought of something better?

Oh, Riku~ Can I talk to you in private?~ <3 My god, what the hell, he probably thinks I'm going to jump him and rip off his shirt like some freak. Though admittedly I'm sure he has really nice muscles . . . like Demyx . . . NO, STOP, STOP THINKING, STOP IT.
'NOW what are you going on about?'
. . . Nothing.

Once they reached the training room, the agromancer glanced around to be sure that there was no one else in there. She began to relax, starting to realize that she wasn't as nervous as she thought she would be. It seemed like she had been thinking about this and turning it over in her mind for forever now, so she felt confident about it. Or as confident about it as she could be.

Letting out a breath, Noelle just decided to tackle the issue head on. "I was hoping you might train me. I've been struggling with this whole darkness issue ever since Agrabah, so I've finally decided that I need to just deal with it. You're the only one I trust with this, so I figured I'd just ask if you'd be okay with it. I want to learn how to use it so I can help the others more."

[ Ajora : Paris : Beauvais Manor Ballroom ]

Ajora listened nonchalantly, though he picked apart each word and fact as they danced. With each step, he grew a bit less robotic and a bit more natural; eventually, his body was as fluid as the music enveloping them, and he was able to easily keep up with his partner (though by no way surpass). He'd only needed to get comfortable, which was remarkably easier in his current state (a combination of power and wine) than in his original's.

The name Ultimecia piqued his interest-- the Fiend of Heart. So Elleon was, like himself, making deals with the devils. Interesting.

"The name rings a bell, but only faintly in my memory-- I've heard of the movie, which I assume is about it?" he asked, swaying with the woman in his arms. He couldn't help but mentally chuckle at this woman, so small in stature, being so comfortable in her position of power.

[Dusk : Caribbean Sea : The Flying Dutchman]

"Ew. I love battles as much of as the rest of us, but that early morning sun just pisses me off." said the voice of Dusk several yards away from Ajora. She was sitting on the railing of the ship as a portal disappeared behind her. In the darkness, the appearance of Dusk seemed different than before. Her hair was now a vibrant red, instead of the dull brown that she shared with her original.

[ Ajora : Caribbean : Flying Dutchman ]

"Well, well, the prodigal wretch returns," Ajora mused at Dusk's return as he remained glancing toward Shipwreck Cove; he didn't seem to budge or even tense at her sudden appearance, implying it hadn't surprised him in the least. If such were the case, the question might be 'why'.

"If the sun bothers you so, then you can always join the battle in Atlantica," he offered, though his tone seemed... indifferent. "They'll be taking place at the same time, after all."

[Dusk : Caribbean Sea : The Flying Dutchman]

Dusk only snorted at Ajora's response to her. Directed at mainly at the thought of her going under the sea, she completely ignored his jib at her.

"It is very tempting. I have to say," she responded in an indifferent tone of her own, "I would looove to put that old man Triton on a fish hook, but I am afraid I'll have to pass. Fish and me, just don't get along. I trust y'all can take care of them without me, though."

[ Ajora : Caribbean : Flying Dutchman ]

Ajora merely smirked.

"Everything will go according to plan," he responded, the airy tone leaving his thoughts to question.

[Dusk : Caribbean : Flying Dutchman]

"Careful, Pride can be very deadly," Dusk said as she got off the railing and started to walk over closer, "Then again, why do I care? You're the one with the little girls and loonies waiting on you. I guess I would be prideful too.

As she finished her statement she walked started to lean on what appeared to be nothing. Which at first glance one would think it was her manipulating the wind, but it was actually just Yoko who had been at her side the whole time, just invisible to those in the area.

[ Riku : Shipwreck Cove : Training Room ]

Riku's raised brow seemed to rise further for a moment in surprise; while he'd been right about the topic, he wasn't aware of the depth of intention. He wasn't privy to what happened in Agrabah besides the vague outline-- apparently, she'd had a run-in of sorts with the Darkness, and the stain remained. She'd attempted to ignore it, but now she was tired of running and wanted to face it...

The Keyblade Master couldn't help but lower his gaze, shaking his head with a light chuckle before returning his eyes to Noelle, filled with understanding.

"You were smart to stop repressing it-- doing so only allows it to fester, like an untreated wound," he explained. "But harnessing it properly will take time-- a lot of it. And every moment you stare into the Darkness, every step you take into the shadows, you put yourself at risk. No one ever thinks they'll get lost, and worse, you'll never even realize you are lost."

He paused for a moment, looking just off to the side as if to gather his thoughts.

"You've got the right motivation, and you've obviously got the strength of heart, or you wouldn't be here," he continued, giving her a reassuring smile, though as he wasn't Sora, it was relatively small. "But when you boil down the reason for seeking out the Darkness, any reason at all, it always leads to one thing: the desire for power. Before you take another step, you have to accept that what you're doing is as simple as trying to gain more power, and then ask yourself: do you need this power?"
