Unless I missed something somewhere (and it's entirely possible I have) where did Lee and Gai-sensei dissappear to? Those were my fav characters.

They're around in the last few issues. Gawking at how Konoha's a disaster zone, gawking at how Hinata got nearly pwned, and gawking at how Naruto's so awesome he doesn't need anyone to beat the crap out of Pain.
Also, page 11 of the last issue would be more awesome if Pain was going "OH s**t!" at the 2,000 Narutos lunging at him. But then he did a Matrix. Dude, it was lame when Neo did it, it gets lamer with every movie/comic/manga that emulates it... Because Son Goku did it first.
And Kishimoto, you son of a b***h, don't say the fight ends in one issue then move the actual ending to the next issue. Grrr, foam in the mouth and all that. ninja

Unless somehow he manages to get Nagato against Madara, then that would be an interesting turn of events.
