Aphismet smiled. "Um, he surely is interesting... Well, while you're here, please feel free to look around and talk to people! We have many events going on... There's the date auction, a refreshment and food stand, a merchandise stand... We also have an auction on owner-donated items." He smiled as winningly as he could, practically beaming. "and of course the Cook-Off."
Aph momentarily turned to make sure Tyson was still by his side. "The boy here and his sister are running a petting zoo of strange critters the lab created, as well. I've heard and seen some interesting things coming from over there..." He glanced over in the direction.
"I'm sure I forget things... Ah, a flower stand, and souvenirs. I think that's it..." Aph scratched his head trying to remember everything.
Munchies finished her sandwich and hrrrred a pleased gwee sigh. She flicked her tail happily and looked up at Tyson, enjoying the praise she knew he was showering on her. Sitting up, she decided to give him a present: chirping sing-song notes, Munchies launched into a Gwee Song, bobbing her head and tail along to the beat as she trilled somewhat melodiously.

"Two waters, no straws," Bard replied before hearing Alex call in his direction one more. Turning his head over his shoulder at her request he gave her a smile and a nod before looking at the woman that was clearly in need of some refreshment. Bard himself looked like he couldn't be happier about the temperative. As a matter of fact, he wished he could just lay out in the sun and take a nap right here and now. Too bad that's not going to happen, he thought to himself with a bit of irritability slipping into his mind.
Setting the two waters upon the counter he'd push them over towards the loud woman and Lucado. "That will be a dollar please," he said as he turned to get another cup to fill with ice for the other woman. If Alex was working her own stall then that ment she had connections with the lab and that meant that Bard wasn't going to give her a hard time over when 'later' was. As he turned around to place the third cup of water on the stall he was startled by a camera in his face, though the startled expression quickly turned into a model smile before the woman had time to click the shutter.
"Lots of water?" Bard asked sweetly as he pushed the cup towards her. "Sure, just tell me how many cups and I'll be happy to get them for you." It was quite a good thing Bard had taken his attention away from Lazarus for if he'd been watching he would have, quite likely at least, burst into laughter. Yes, Bard was defintially going to have to talk to the poor guy later and he was definitally looking forward to it.

Ebony curiously peered around the corner of the booth to where the woman was sitting propped against the stall. It was when she’d stuffed a camera in front of the vendor’s face that she slipped back in place in front of the stand. Crinkling her nose slight, Ebony turned away from the photographer. She had a thing about her picture being taken and it was clearly showing on her face. But as soon as the face had been made, just as fast it was gone replaced with a sly, bordering on flirtatious smile. ‘As long as I keep my sunglasses on…’ she thought as she managed to slide up to sit on the booth’s counter, but well off to the side so that others could attain their refreshments and whatnot.
Crossing one shapely leg over the other, and keeping her back to the dehydrated photographer as much as possible, Ebony slipped a twenty from her pockets and placed it on the counter. “That’s for the waters. You can include that lady’s too if you want.” A thumb aimed over her shoulder towards the photographer. “Think of the rest as a tip for dealing with my…rudeness from earlier dear.” Her british laced words dripping with a certain degree of coyness as she waited patiently for her water.

Blinking, Lucado turned his curious eyes to the other one, befuddled. Things seemed so strange here sometimes... and he seemed to have lost Bard's attention, which made him want to pout more than a little but, though he refrained from that desire. Puzzled and confused, he looked at the other putting down a twenty. "My word," he said softly, blinking down at the twenty. He only had ten dollars left to his name, and here was this woman paying for a dollar-fifty tab with a twenty...?
Fumbling in his pockets, Lucado tugged at the string of his balloon, bowing his head to the lady. "I still s-say... you s-shouldn't have..." He spoke softly, shyly. "I was in the way..."

“Hmm?” Ebony’s attention brought back to the bowing head of the man she’d lost her temper with. She smiled and waved her hand up and down towards him, “No no, I insist. I was a far bit more rude than was necessary. I apologize, it’s gotten a bit more warmer for my liking…” she explained, turning that hand onto herself in a way to fan herself from the heat. “Though next time you may want to do like me and get somewhat out of the way for others.”Waving her hand to showcase the way she was sitting upon the counter, though she probably would be reprimanded for such a thing soon even though she was well out of the way. But it wasn’t any concern to her just now as she wasn’t going anywhere till she received her water. “But anyway, buck up mate! It is a festival after all. Have some fun, there’s plenty around. And pay no mind to snippies such as myself, it’s just the heat talking.”

The man blinked as the woman crawled onto the stall and sat there as if she was some decoration to be oggled at. No thanks. If decorations were allowed he had better women in mind that he'd rather be stuck staring at. Bard wasn't going to be mean however. Well. He was going to attempt not to be mean with the woman who had been so snippish with his flirtings. "I don't think you're allowed to be up there mam, and I'd feel much better if you'd get down. I'd hate to see what would happen to you if the owner of this stall came back and saw you sitting there. I don't think he likes women much." he finished, taking her money from the counter and placing it into the till before counting out her change and placing it back onto the counter next to the three drinks, noting no one was taking them.
Oh well, no matter. The dark haired man was still standing near by and that put Bard in a bit better of a mood. "How's the italian ice sir?" the man asked, leaning forward a bit and letting his voice drop the business tone to pick back up the flirtatious tone he'd been using earlier. He personally thought a pink lemonade would go better with the strawberry italian ice, but since the woman had already bought the water he wasn't going to suggest anything.

A bit of a hidden glare could be felt from behind those dark shades, yet she complied to his request and jumped down, grabbing her bottle of water as she did. “All right then, but don’t call me ma’am. It’s Miss. Miss Shade to be exact.” Twisting the cap off quick, Ebony took a few sips of the delicious cold water. “Mmm…that’s nice…and again keep the change hon. It’s the least I can do.” Least indeed as much of a cheapskate she could be at times. Just giving away a twenty was well within her means, yet it was a bit out of character. Though they didn’t know that. “Enjoy the rest of the festivities darlings.” She drew out the word ‘darlings’ as a way for it to linger upon them, perhaps as a lasting impression to her oddness while she disappeared into the crowd again.

Pink touched Lucado's sun-flushed cheeks as he opened his mouth to reply to the lady, but was quite suddenly distracted by that warm, flirty tone, a smile warming his sweet face. "It's... it's delicious. My favorite treat -- well, that and custard," Lucado managed to stammer out, the part of his mind that usually was occupied with good sense full of Italian ice and handsome man. "C-cold, sweet things on a warm day..." He was babbling and he knew it. "Do... you like them, too?"
To shut himself up, he popped another sweet, melting bite into his mouth, letting the strawberry sweetness melt on his tongue and lightly tugging the water that had been bought for him, over to him -- he'd definitely carry that around with him once Bard banished him, if he did. Smiling sheepishly, he waved after the woman -- strange as she was, the impression certainly wasn't negative.

Bard didn't know the difference between mam and miss, it wasn't really something he'd bothered to learn in school, so he simply shrugged at her slightly bossy introduction. Atleast she wasn't sitting on the stall anymore. He was glad he'd had Rivener to put the blame on, but he'd wanted her off just as badly as he thought the Raevan would have. "Thank you for your donation to the Lab," he called after her with a half-hearted wave before sticking the change back into the till. He didn't even manage to hear what the woman said as she wandered off, his attention already back on Lucado.
"Cold things? Not so much I suppose. Makes me feel cold and I quite dislike that feeling," he said with a wink as if silently mentioning what feeling made one feel warm. Bard, honestly, had tried Italian Ice before, though it had been on one of his trips to the country itself, something he was loathe to mention to anyone. After a moments hesitation, Bard shook his head and smiled at the man. "I've never really tried it. Mind if I have a bite of yours?" Bard certainly wasn't going to go off banishing people. His only other company was the boob grabbing Tari and the nervous wreck known as Lazarus.

"Oh, being cooled is only good when it's hot out... and being warm is certainly nice..." The wink wasn't lost on Lucado, making him smile with sweet shyness -- he was relaxing a little bit by force, as being flustered was not necessarily his default state, nor one he terribly enjoyed. He couldn't help it, though; he was shy by nature. "Of c-course, you can try it... even though it is cold."
Carefully, he spooned up a bite of the pale pink frozen treat, holding out one hand -- offering the sweet to the other. If he chose, he could take the spoon, with the delicate way he held it in his long fingers... or he could take it the other, obvious way.

"I wouldn't say all that now," Natsuki said, sighing deeply, yet not flinging We'rika's hand from her shoulder like a rabid teenager flinging underwear at a rockstar. The summer sunshine was refreshing, but at the same time, quite draining. Looking up at him, she fluttered her eyelashes coquettishly, giving him a more relaxed smiled. She couldn't deny it. We'rika always knew how to make her smile.
"I'm just worried no one would bid on me," Natsuki said, wrinkling her nose and looking over the large crowd of people. She flicked her hair in mock seduction, copper layers flashing in the sunlight. "But hopefully, I can make it worth the winner's while."
Giving him a soft peck on the cheek, she looked at him appreciatively,"How about getting some drinks and waiting back stage. We should be up soon, right?"

We`rika rolled his eyes teasingly at Natsuki and her self-doubt and worry. Watching her beautiful face distort in worry, the Huichol grabbed her nose gently and wiggled it. "Hun, ya go' nuthin' ta worry abou', I'mma one scared everyone's gonna leave after yer auctioned off... "
The shaman's long ears twitched excitedly as Natsuki's lips brushed against his dark cheek. He was so easy. "Drinks? Sure! I'lla go ge' us some!" His ears pitched high like a dog happy to obey its master. "I'lla be righ' bacl!"
He loosened his tie to let a little air reach his stifling and suffocating lungs. Sweet Jesus it was hot out here. Hopefully the right girl would bid on him and he would be out of these clothes in no time. He asked an auction volunteer where the refreshment booth was and made B-line to the booth.
"Wha... Heey! Fancy meetin' ya again, eh?" We`rika smiled at his hooker buddy Bard. "Didn' know ya were mannin' the drinks..."

Bard had just taken the spoon from the man and popped the undelightful Italian Ice into his mouth. If he hadn't liked strawberry flavor so much he wouldn't have done it at all. The cold hit him unpleasantly, but he smiled as he handed back the little wooden spade. "Indirect kiss," he teased the man with black hair before his green eyes took a look around the event just to see what was going on. Part of him was really wishing he could be out there milling about and buying fun things as well. Then he saw a familiar face walking over through the crowd and his expression lit into one of delight.
"I'm full of surprises," Bard said in a sultry voice and one of those slow smiles as he rested his arms upon the counter of the stall. Bard had managed to become even more hookerish since the Huichol had left him sitting in the car now that his shirt was gone and the little black fluff ball wasn't threatening everything in sight. "What can I do for you?" he asked in a friendly manner before that smile grew wider and he added, "And mind that offer's only up for drinks at the moment. Find me after the event and then we'll talk about what else I offer, hmm?"

So excited over the flowers RoChan had not bothered to look up at the booth attendee until she had to inquire about the blooms. A lovely young thing manned the station with eyes so large and sparkling that RoChan almost reached out to crush the adorable thing into her chest. Thankfully there was a stall between her and it but she did notice that it was another half body like she had seen earlier. Her brows knitted together as she followed the gaze of the cherubic creature to see another set walk float towards their direction. Seeing so many of half bodies suddenly make the young woman feel a bit self conscious of her two lower limbs causing her to unconsciously seek out her own kind, the kind with legs.
She found one lowering himself around the corner of the stall and curiously RoChan peeked over to see what he was doing. Blue eyes widened a bit behind the dark glasses as she spied yet another half body, this one however sporting a pair of very lovely breasts that made RoChan quite envious. Still she could figuratively see a black cloud of doom slowly condense itself above the two as her sharp, elf ears picked up the words of the young man.
‘How morbid.’ She thought not really understanding the entire situation but her delicate nose scrunched up in dislike as a small frown replaced her merry smile. It wasn’t her place to interrupt the pair but she just felt that something needed to be tacked onto his truthful words.
“That maybe so, but that is why we must make the most of every moment that is given to us.” She calmly added admiring a white lily she had particularly become fond of. “A life well lived intensely that has brought happiness to someone is better than a slowly dimming life without meaning.” She murmured before smiling at the pair. “Sorry.” She sheepishly apologized for butting into their conversation.

Junsu heaved a sigh, watching Jae Eun kneeling sympathetically on the ground. Walking over, he placed a comforting hand on her shoulder before speaking to her, this time in Korean. "Jae...I know you get sentimental, but I think that your friend has the situation under control."
She looked at him over her shoulder, biting her lip a bit before she replied back in Korean. "I know. But...the Raevans...there are some things that they don't understand...so..I want to help her. She looks so frail and helpless, like a rose quivering in the wind....." Her voice trailed off as she turned back to face Vyn and Ravi.
Junsu turned with a start at the new voice, but he merely observed silently. Somewhere in his musician's mind, a song was beginnig to take shape, born from the scene in front of him.
((NOTE: for the Korean snippets, the words not italicized (Jae, Raevans, and rose) are words that are spoken in English, hence words that can be understood by the people around them.....just thought i'd point to hopefully clear up any confusion.... sweatdrop ))
