Chakra fundamentals for the academy student, intermediate level.

The sudden energy boost from his short nap had been very beneficial to Hiru. He dove right back into his studying aadn learned about all the different chakra affinities. He thought about skipping straight to water affinity, but he realized he'd most likely have to fight people of various types so he was better to learn about it right now, instead of on the battlefield...
DC = 3-2 = fail
The idea of using elements in a fight kind of scared him for a while and caused him to pause his reading for a moment or two. It seemed to him that the water element was not all that well suited for combat, and it made him worried. He remained anxious for a while but the decided he was better to get back to his reading to read the chapter about water affinity before getting any ideas.
DC = 17-2 = pass
Water affinity, according to this book, was well suited for offense due to the immense power that comes from its uncompressible nature, but was also very good for defense because of its malleability. It could take any form and be moved freely in any direction. It said something about water shields and water clones, which was pretty interesting. Hiru had a few ideas about cool techniques he could make up but he had no idea how...

His interest was now back and he managed to stay focuses on the book all the way into the next chapter. There was something about Kekkei-Genkai which was a pretty cool concept. People could use two separate elements to create a new one. The only known ones so far were wood and ice, but there was a possibility more could exist. Hiru thought this was pretty cool and would have liked to have one of these, but it was only a clan thing and the Hoshigakis only had water affinity.

Hiru read all the way up to the last chapter, that was an introduction to the fusion of these two concepts, shape and nature manipulation of chakra. Even though it was extremely complex, he was pretty interested in learning about this. It was the subject of the whole advanced tome though, so it would probably have to wait until tomorrow. He hoped he could learn a few more techniques tomorrow... Hiru wanted to get very strong...

Hiru had just read about slowly increasing your body's maximum chakra storage through meditation. Since it was just about one of the only forms of training he had not tried, he decided he'd give it a shot. At first, all he did was close his eyes... he just sat there... waiting for something to happen. Obviously he was doing something wrong, the exercise wasn't just about staying immobile over long periods of time...
DC = 14+1 = success
Hiru tried to clear his mind completely, like the book said he should. Of course, he wasn't really sure what that meant exactly but he decided he 'd give it a shot. As his thoughts and worries seemed to drift away, Hiru got a feeling of a sort of current circulating through his body, a form of force riding down his spine, through his head and heart and back up again. Could this really be his chakra flow he was feeling?
DC = 18 + 1 = success
As he focused more and more on this chakra river he could faintly feel circulating through parts of his body, he also realized he could slowly start channeling it softly. The flow could be deviated slightly towards his upper body, or afterwards to his lower body, it was like tapping into a flowing water source, the stream remained the same but you coulddig around it to have it reach other spots.
DC = 1 = fail
Hiru was so focused at his own body he came to forget there was actually a world around. Like someone throwing you out of your bed while in deep slumber, he was brutally ripped away from his meditation by his pet squirrel that jumped onto his head to lie there. Hiru's thick hair and complete immobility probably made it look like a comfy sleeping spot for such a small creature. Only problem was those little claws hurt when it tried climbing up there...

With the little animal now comfortably lying on his head, Hiru got back to his meditation. He closed his eyes once more and tried to reach back in, all the way back into the river of chakra that flew through his system. The fact that Hiru's chakra was so attuned with water was probably the reason why he could get such a good feeling of it, Hiru loved water and felt naturally drawn to it since he'd been a little child.

Once Hiru managed to dive back into himself, and down into his chakra flow, he started trying to control it. He had already noticed he could try to focus it more and more towrds certain spot of his body, but that wasn't what he was trying to do right now. He wanted to find a way to increase this capacity to store chakra, just as doing push ups would increase his capacity to use brute strength.
DC = 17 + 1 = success
Hiru noticed the size of the stream was constant from his head all the way down to his heart although it seemed to agglutinate at certain precise spot before continuing his route. Maybe if he could find a way to increase the size of the stream, he could start working on a way to increase the quantity of chakra it could hold without overflowing... still, he'd have to fin a way to increase the flow afterwards, but he had to take it one step at a time.
DC = 17 + 1 = success
Hiru realized "pulling" on both sides of the river as though it was a rubber band would not work, he was not looking for a temporary solution, but a permanent improvement. Hiru wasn't that bright but he knew more about hard work than many other ninjas who were much older than him, the only things that work or improve are those that are done with care and time, so he had to find a way to slowly, yet surely, increase the size of the stream.

There wasn't going to be a quick fix for this one, not a "key" that would "unlock" a chakra increas. Hiru started trying to slowly force the chakra to vibrate as it went down his system. With every second, it made a slightly bigger ondulations past it's former maximum reach before reverting to its more natural state. He could clearly feel this was putting a strain on his body, yet a very strange one...
DC = 15 + 1 = success
He could feel his body working just as hard as when he was doing those sit ups before to work his abdominal muscles, yet his body was still perfectly immobile. He did not feel any of his muscles contract or his body working mechanically, yet he really felt like he was using a lot of energy and that this was not as relaxing as he originally thought it would be. Gradually, Hiru started trying to increase the vibrations of his chakra flow, pushing it farther away from its limits.

Of course Hiru could not keep this up for long, after that much of prolonged effort he realized that continualy increasing the flow of chakra was probably not the way to go, a real workout is usually with a fixed resistance you work on over a long period of time until it becomes easy, and then you move up. Hiru would have to be more disciplined to finish this exercise.

HIru closed his eyes once more to get his focus back. He slowly got back inside of himself, down, down, deeper in. Just as he was starting to feel his chakra flow once more, his squirrel decided to switch positions. Like little nails working their way into his scalp, the animal's claws grabbed on to Hiru's head as it was circling around in his hair, looking for a comfier spot to get back to sleep. This was certainly becoming a challenge.

The pain in his scalp wasn't the worst he was feeling right now making his job harder. The severe correction his father had just given him still ached all over his body. His lip was numb, his eyes was hurting, one of his ankles was so swelled up he could barely move it, and those were only a few of them. Meditating in these conditions was extremely difficult... yet it soothed him in a way that made him want to continue.
DC = 17 + 1 = success
Hiru managed to get back over the pain and down into his body once more. He remembered where he started having trouble with his training. It was at the precise moment where he started pushing his limit far too far away from where his actual limit was. He started vibrating the flow of the river once more, just until it was just strong enough to put a strain on his body and require effort, but not that much that he felt he was going to drop his concentration at any moment.

Hiru probably had found his chakra limit, or the closest he could get to it for the moment anyway. Slowly, he focused intensely, trying to push it slightly farther by forcing his chakra flow back and forth. Just like the water of a river can gradually erode the ground that surrounds it, Hiru's chakra made itself a slightly larger path than it had before, granting it more room for improvement and intensity.
Hiru had probably pushed his limit way farther than he should have for today... two jutsus, strength, constitution and chakra training, an obstacle course and so much more. Just as he finished his training, his body practically shut down and he fell straight to sleep, waiting for the next day to start.

Uzuki stopped in front of his house. Now that he thought about it he hadn't been here in a few days, alot of times he would train until he fell asleep, then would run off to the academy. The Arashi House wasn't the biggest one in Kirigakure, but it was good enough. Uzuki knew that if he let his parents know he was there then his mom would try to make him stay home tonight, and he had plans for the day. He slowly unlocked the door with a key his parets had given him and walked into the house. He took all of his steps slowly and carefully, by the sounds in the house he could tell that his mom was in the kitchen. "Crap." He said softly, Uzuki needed to get into his dad's work out room, but he would need to walk past the kitchen to get there. Thats when an idea instantly popped into his head.

Uzuki remembered that his dad wasn't going to get home until later so he would use that to his advantage. "Time to put that academy stuff to use." He said while making making the tiger seal and focusing his chakra. After about a second or two Uzuki now had the appearance of his father. "So this is what it's like to be dad." He walked over to the door and opened then closed it to make it seem as though he had just entered. Trying to make the best impression of his dad as he could Uzuki walked into the kitchen, and waved to his mom. "I got out earlier than I thought I would today." When she tried to give him a kiss he immediately moved away. "Not today. Going in the workout room. I'll be out in a couple of hours or so." She seemed to fall for it so without much more hesitation he ran into the room and locked the door. He ended the transformation and looked for the equipment.

Uzuki looked around the room for the weights his dad usually wore while working out. His dad didn't allow him into the room so he wasn't quite familiar with many of things inside. It was actually bigger on the inside then you would think if you were standing on the outside. He noticed the four large weights in the corner of the room and grabbed them. They were pretty heavy, but he could manage to get out with them. He searched the room to see if there was anything else in there he might want go grab. After he was done he looked out into the hallway and in the kitchen. His mom was no longer in the kitchen and was now in his parent's room. He walked into the kitchen to try and grab a bite to eat before he left. While searching through the pantry for food he knocked something over and made aloud noise he was sure his mom would hear. He would have to get out fast.

At first he was going to try and clean up the mess he had made, but he knew if he did that his mom would catch him his only chance would be to get out of the house as fast and as quietly as possible. He looked out into the hall and saw that his mom had not left the room. "Maybe she didn't hear it after all." Uzuki said, feeling a little releived, until he saw the door to his parents room start to open slightly. He grabbed the things he came for and slowly made his way out of the house. Once outside he closed and locked the door as quietly as he could and headed for the training grounds.

Sari's worry didn't get to last long as she felt another wave of an odd sensation course over her body. It was another one of Star's genjtusu. The light haired girl looked around nervously to see what kind of an illusion it was going to be this time. Nothing was moving, she wasn't changing, at least not yet. Her mind was caught with watching her suroundings so much that she didn't notice Mari starting to stir on the couch. Her eyes opened slowly, seeing a slender figure before her. Star? Shifting her eyes around she spotted her sister, strangly searching the area around her. She sat up on the couch to spot Hiro and Kage. Seemed as though Sari and Hiro were under the same sort of spell. Mari raised her hand to her head as she remembered slowly what had happened. Her little spar with Hiro. He bit her neck. A light pink raised into her cheeks as she remembered it all. "M...Miss Star..." her voice said quietly. More out of fear about giving herself a headache than anything. Sari was becoming a bit more relaxed at the fact nothing was happening so far. She was about to complain to Star before something flew towards her head. The girl freaked and ducked just in time before a small trash can hit the wall beside her.

Mari 's eyebrow raised slightly as she saw Sari freak out and dodge something invisible. She couldn't help but smirk. It must be a genjutsu thing she'd heard about. Her eyes went back to Star to await her reaction to her awakening. Sari tried to take a step back only to find the trashcan there. She fell backwards onto her back and looked up in time to see what looked to be a foot rest hovering above her head. She screamed and rolled herself out of the wya before it rammed into the floor just where her head had been. She sat up and crawled backwards towards the back of the couch she'd hid behind. She bumped into it only to feel it bump back, hard. It threw her roughly into the wall enough to get her dizzy. She shook her head and looked to her side to see a large electronic device coming towards her. The TV? Sari didn't have time to react other than moving out of the way before it rammed into the place she just was. Her head turned a split second too slow as a knife shot towards her, cut her cheek and sliced itself into the wall.

Mari was growing bored with all of Sari's movements and jerks and collapses. After her little knock out session she needed some fresh air. She left the house without any word to Star or Kage and started to walk around outside. The stuffy air between buildings wasn't enough for her. She needed something better. The beach sounded great. Mari yawned and put her hands in her pant's pockets before shuffling off towards the beach. There had to be something she could occupy herself with there, right? She groaned as a light headache set in. Hopefully there wouldn't be something there to just make her feel worse than she already did. She'd find her sister another time. For now, she just needed to be by herself. She could just sit on the beach and star at the flow of water until she became herself again. Sari wasn't aware of Mari's leaving seeing as she was still in Star's genjutsu and a little busy dodging random pieces of furniture trying to kill her. Jeez, what kind of strange things were happening to her?! First Star turns into a freak of nature, then the house starts moving and now things were out to kill her! Just how much worse could it get?!

Uzuki ran into the housing district, tears still running down his face. When he reached his own house however somebody from behind him grabbed his shoulder and turned him around. It was his father, Shimura Arashi. When he saw his father he wiped the tears from his eyes and tried to be strong.
"Uzuki, come with me. We have to get you somewhere safe."
"But what about mom? What happened to her?"
"It's okay, she's already in a safe location. Now we must go." He grabbed Uzuki and used the shunshin jutsu.

Star looked to Sari and felt Mari leave the area. At least the girl was well but something else had been bugging Star for a while. Kage was the first to notice it. Star had taken notice after seeing Kage moving from window to window, closing them and locking them. Granted, if there was something major a closed piece of glass wouldn't do must but it'd be better than nothing. In his right hand he was playing with the kunai that Star can killed him with. A grin crossed her lips.
Within an instant, the grin was wipped away from her face and her chakra was recoiled back into her by instinct as it preped for something more important. A massive chakra was walking around the village...but it was so friggin spiradic as if the person didn't have control of it...or of themselves. Either way, Star couldn't tell where the hell the chakra was coming from or whether it was coming or going and that wasn't very pleasent.
Thats when she felt the ground begin to shake slightly, like a distant earthquake or something. Her eyes shot over to kage who had opened a window and was watching several Mist ninja dash toward the area a large plume was coming from. She heard one of them say it was the library and arched a brow. Did someone fail a test or something?
Kage stopped one of the shinobi (a closeline to the throat will do that to you) and began to question him. After a few moments, they learned that the village was under attack...Kage's eyes shot to Star who had heard everytihng and was in thought. To be truthful, they owed no obligation to Mistress or the village. But then again, they did take them in...Star was conflicted. Even if she said they should leave, Kage wouldn't leave immediatly due to his honor and wanting to at least help some of the people. She felt somewhat the same or rather she figured it was easier to just go ahead and help instead of argue.
"Alright Mari, play times over. We got work to do. I want you to help folks escape this area to someplace safe..." she was about to turn to see where Kage had left to but she already knew. He went after Mari. After all they were charged with these kids care...theyw ouldn't let them die.
Looking back to Sari, Star winked, "Come on little bit. Lets get these folks outta here. Your about to see my good deed for the century" And with that, Star began to lead Sari about the housing district and collecting people to take to the Hospital.
