Haucon sighed again. "I feel this warm feeling, that extends through my whole body and leaves when I'm not with you." he whispered. "I don't want to leave, but if you need to do what you need to do, I'll go." he added.

"Ah, ok. I'd use the little power to dodge the bullet... I guess...If it's that little power." Vanessa said shrugging her shoulders.

Leila glanced up at him, wondering if what he was describing was what she had experienced.
"...give me fifteen minutes. If I'm not back, you can look for me. Or I'll send a mirage to tell you where I am..." She was loving and hating that she felt this way towards Haucon, but couldn't express herself the way she wanted...or needed for that matter.

"You know what? Let's ignore that question, it's too wierd. You're good enough to get started with training yourself more." He looked at her. "I want you to try to walk into the ocean about to the point where you would be completely submerged... but without even getting wet. Think you're up to it?"

"Sure I am." Vanessa said with a smile. She walked over to the ocean, and, with one sweep of her hand, she made a path of air going as far as the eye could see. She jogged down the path of air, stopping in an area that was so deep she'd be under many feet of water. "Ta-da!" With this, Vanessa moved her hand by mistake, making the path of air dissapear. She tumbled into the water. It was a moment before she emerged out of the water soaking wet. She swam to where it was shallow enough to walk, then trudged the rest of the way, spitting water out of her mouth with each step. "Ew." Vanessa said, when she got to shore.

"Close enough." He smiled, and sent a burst of air around Vanessa, completely drying her. "You have the potential, just keep the focus going."

"Now it's your turn. What do you want to try?"

"I wanna see how powerful this... Power... Really is." Vanessa said smiling. She pointed her hands toward the see, creating the biggest burst of air that she possibly could. Unfortunately, she didn't (and she didn't think Dream did too) realize how powerful she really was, and she caused a tornado to form. It spiraled dangerously close to the group, as Vanessa screamed and shielded her face, not that it would help.

He grinned. With a wave of his hand, the tornado began slowing in power, and then vanished. His hand was perspering slightly from eliminating tha much power, but it wasn't too bad. He'd had to handle worse before. "Well, you're definately more powerful than I thought. And that's a good thing."

"I... I hope so. Let's not do that again." Vanessa said with a little grin. She plopped her butt down on the sand. "So. What now. No more adventures we can go on." Vanessa said with a little pout.

"There's always adventure somewhere. Sometimes you have to make it yourself." He thought a minute. "Hmmm... Well, I suppose I could bring in my personaly guardian fairy, you could meet her if you want. Or we could try to find some food, or practice some more, or whatever you want."

Violet watched with interest as Dream and Vanessa continued their lesson. When the girl had created the tornado she'd hissed angrily for a moment, the sound almost snake like. Rustling her wings in agitation she settled to sit back down again. Rather then sitting cross legged as usual, she merely croutched, keeping her balance easily with her wings spread wide. Obviously she was on her guard with the angel still around.

Haucon sighed and nodded. "If you're sure." he reached over grabbed her hand and brought it to his lips momentarily. He dropped it quickly and stood up. "I'll meet you here." he said quietly beginning to walk away. He rounded several corners quickly. He sighed and backed up against one of the brick walls. He slammed his foot into a nearby dumpster as hard as he could several times, swearing quietly all the while. Haucon stopped and took a deep breath, trying to keep himself from punching the wall til his knuckles bled.

He looked at her. "She should be. I don't really know too much about her nature, I haven't had much experience in that area. If not, I'll try to heal her myself." He shrugged. "So, what brings you to Earth?"

Holly watched the lesson with interest as it progressed. Then she answered Dream's question.

"I died not too long ago. I had a very fragile immune system and a disease that deteriorated it. So, when I found out that Earth was once more availiable to me, I decided that I would go back to explore the beauty of this world and to be with my family again." Holly stared off for a moment, then chuckled to herself. "Well, there's always that other thing, but I don't feel a need to mention it right now. And don't worry, it's not anything bad. Let's just say I'm a hopeless romantic."

Holly chuckled slightly again. "So, what's going on now?"

Leila picked herself up, and headed to a more public area of town, somewhere she could find an unwitting victim. Her eyes took on the same look as before, with their eerie glow. She finally found a public bar containing a few men who were drinking their worries away before their lives soon ended at the hands of angel or demon. They all took instance notice of her, but only one was brave enough to approach her, a drunken smile on his face. Leila turned on the charms up a notch; anymore was not necessary to convince someone in this drunken state of mind. She teased and flirted, then lured the man into the women's bathroom.
She left him there unconscious, making her way back through the bar. But something was different. Instead of feeling satisfied, glad that the urge would rest for now, she felt completely ashamed. Dirty. Worthless. Slut....
She returned to the designated spot, and returned to her huddled position on the ground.

Haucon took a deep breath exhaling slowly. He had to do something to get rid of this feeling. He turned and began to run, not caring where he ended up. He burst from the alley system onto a main street. He stepped across the street to a hardware store that stood beckoning to him. Once inside he quickly found what he was looking for, paid, and left.

Walking once again he felt a bit more relaxed just knowing what was in the bag at his side. He turned down another alley and looked around. No one. Perfect. He pulled two cans of spray paint from the bag, one black, one dark blue. Beginning with the black one he began to draw on the brick wall he was facing. Circles, triangles, lines, squares. All overlapping slightly. Behind his closed eyelids he tried to force away the images of Leila that he was having, images of seduction and pain. His eyes remained closed the whole time, even when he switched colors and began the process again. Finally finished he stepped back, and opened his eyes, checking his work. Satisfied, Haucon put his hands on either side of the paint that was now dripping slowly. He leaned his full weight on his hands and gave a push. A ripple ran through the building, barely perceptible.

He stepped back once more and watched as the bricks began to absorb the paint. Soon the black and blue writing had completely disappeared. The wall shivered again, walls in the human world weren't as used to magic as in the Sacred Realm. This time as though a ghostly hand were painting a picture, an image began to appear on the wall. A large deep blue hawk, wings outspread, talons forward in a dive appeared on the wall. Haucon nodded at the image and turned away, leaving the spray paint on the ground.

Shortly after he left, an old man, arms laden with groceries hobbled down the street. He turned at the alley that led to his apartment, and took a double take as he walked past a large spray painted hawk. He shook his head and muttering 'lousy juvenile delinquents.' under his breath. Suddenly a thousand memories of pain rushed to his mind, sorrow overtaking him as he passed through the magic boundary. Memories of his drunk father, his dead brother. He ran forward to escape the feeling and passed through the other side of the magic, tears streaming down his withered cheeks. He looked back to the opening of the alley, trying to think what had caused such intense sorrow. His eyes lighted on the blue hawk, it colors still running, as though tears were running down the wall itself.

Haucon trudged back to the dumpsters where he'd left Leila a quarter hour earlier. She was sitting there huddled back against the cold brick. "C'mon." he said emotionlessly, offering her a hand to get up.
