As his hand connected to her face, a puff of smoke apeared as the subsitution jutsu came into effect. She was a good dstance away by now, hiding in the depths of the water out side of the forest. She didn't care if she was far from him right now, so long as she was out of that forest that she hated so much. Besides, being in water as dark as it was would help her even more with the new jutsu. She put something in her mouth that would allow her to be able to breathe under water. She took a deep breath and was glad that it still worked after all this time.

'Now, how can I lure him here towards the water?' She did a had sign and a shadow clone appeared next to her in the water. She knew that it wouldn't smell exactly like her, but from a distance any one, including Kekkaishi, would mistake it for being her. The clone climbed out of the water and stood on top of the surface. It looked towards the forest and grinned the way she would when she thought she'd done something clever. "Hey Kaishi! Think you should try opening your eyes once in a while!" The clone laughed as the real Kikyo closed one eye and activated the Elemental Vision in her right eye. She smiled a little, knowing she was able t see through the water with ease.

kekkaishi coughed as the smoke was begining to be to much even for him. He walked out of the forest just as he heard her words normaly he would have flared up with anger and rushed towards her to shut her up,but today Kekkaishi had learn quite a lot. not as much as she had but he learned enough. what he saw in front of him was being blurred byt he smoke coming out of the forest. wait a minute. why shoudl i go strait foward and attack. her last clone smeeled close enough to her that i couldnt tell the difrence. somaybe this is a clone hmm but how can i tell? he smield to himself as he saw that there was no reflection on the water.

so that is a clone. i guess its time to go straight foward and attack if she is in the water then i am sure i can figure out the jutsu she just learned tought it is usefull. it can also be useless all i have to do is trick her. he whent back into the smoke filled forest. he made handsigns and concetrated making five clones.Kekkaishi ran out of thesmoke his kusari-gami on his hand" i shall show you the true power of my family!!!!!!!!

The clone smiled as it did some quick hand signs and several more clones appeared next to her. 'Gotta keep him busy while the real me reads the scroll in secretcy.' The clones did another hand sign and, in a puff of smoke, transformed into a series of girls from the mangas Kikyo had found hidden in Kekkaishi's home. She knew this would piss him off a little to have to deal with her childish trick, and this would keep him distracted at lest a little bit. Some of the clones even started to flirt a little bit. Surely that would make him want to beat her to a bloody pulp, even if he knew they were just clones.

The real Kikyo sat at the very bottom of the pond with a scroll in hand. Thanks to the help of the elemental vision, she could easily read the contents of the scroll. She didn't know what she could use this attack for yet, but surely it could help some how. '"Better to learn an attack you don't need yet than to not learn it at all."' She nodded at the words her father had once said and started to read the jutsu over several times so she could memorize the jutsu and not have to preform it with the scroll in hand.

Kekkaishi smiled as he finished puting a kunai on the wieight after he he ran for abotu tree more kilometers he jumped into the air swinging the shain in a circular motion he landed in between most of the clones the clones vanished as the kunai hit them. he smiled as his clones destroyed the other clones. he nodded and his clones ran back into the smoke filled forest.part one complete

in retrospect Kekkaishi could not belive what she had done. his only saving grace was that he was focused on the plan, but now his blood began to boil he began to dig into the ground and smiled as he found the helmet his father had created. he put it on and breathed in letting his body get used to it. he picked up the bag wich was full of air and put on behind him. he smiled. he knew that the bag was filled with more then air. hiding underwater? thats a bad ideaq. i guess she forgot abtou teh equipments that my father hid allover the place. he lunged into the water going deper and depper till he saw her.

She looked up when she saw him come into the water. She growled a little and re-adjusted her breathing device. She closed the scroll and reattached it to the chain around her neck. Her elemental eye was able to see him a little faster than he saw her, which was good... but it could be better. She reached into her sleeve and pulled out what looked like a small rubber ball. Inside was a specail chemical mixture that would make it harder for him to see under water, giving her an advantage since most of the mixture was water. She put the ball in between her hands and clapped hard to smash it before using the hydro flood to quickly spread it around in the water.

Once the mixture spread, she swam away a little and pulled the scroll out. She was starting to get a little tired and new the jutsu took a while to do, despite how short it may last, and she reached into her sleeve again and pulled out a food pill. She carefully took the breathing device from her mouth and slid the pill even more carefully between her lips so no water could get in. She chewed the pill quickly and swallowed it before putting the breathing device back in and taking a deep breath. 'Now's where the fun will really begin.'

Kekkaishi smiled as one of he finshed his handsings. it seemed that she forgot to look at his hands. tough no one would normaly think of using it in that way, even if they where underwater the practice still held all he had to do was focuse on the air that was around him, after all he did have a tank of it and besides that he was sure if he used enough chakra he could take the air out of the water around him. i am makeing a big bet but air dash!!!!!!! he smiled to himself as he was instiently close to her close enough to do what he whanted.

he grabed the scroll from her hands and used wind dash one mroe time to get into the smoking forest. he breathed in hard he felt his chakra had been dipleated by what he just did." damn it. how can i lose so much. damnit. i finaly got the scroll." he gave the scroll to one of his clones and lay on a tree branch covered by the smoek and using the water mask to breath pure oxygen into his long. he had alrady doen his move. he could count n his clone byung him time.

She growled as he stole her scroll away. But fom the look of it, he used a lot of his chakara just to do that one jutsu. She popped another food pill in her mouth and jumped out of the water. She used her elemental vission to look through the smoke, remembering it was just really thick mist. She saw two Kekkaishis, and knew at least one of the had to be the real one. She knew the one laying down was the real one, but she figured she'd humor him. She made a shadow clone and that one went after the clone. "I'm gonna get you for taking my scroll you stupid jerk."

The clone went charging straight for his clone and caught up in no time. "There you are! Give me back my scroll!" The real Kikyo stayed behind at the lake and went through her other scrolls to see what she should try to learn next. Nothing really appealed to her at the moment. All she really wanted to do was learn the Darkness rains. 'This sucks! I need that scroll so I can figure out how much of my chakara I need to use. Oh well. I guess I can do the guess and check method.'

one of Kekkaishi clones smiled. as he used fire blast on the real kykyo. the clone disapeared afterwards having used all the chackra that made it. the clone carring the scroll did not listen to the clone to kykyo it simply kept running. This clone had a mission alrady there where only four of them left. he had to distract kykyo long enough for master to gather at least soem of his chackra. the plan was very simplistic

Kekkaishi sighed as he breathed in deeply.damn it my power level is still low. how the hell is she still able to stand? i have one clone down four more left. and i am sure the one with the scroll will be destroyerd soon. she can look trough the smoke. but the depper in a get the harder it will be for her to see. he stood up. feeling his body ache and fell down. he began to walk depper in tough he stopped the oxygen from the mask he kept on walking

She used the substitution jutsu just in time to avoid getting hit. She watched as he went farther, noticing it was getting harder for her to see him. She got upset, but knew she had to stay calm. She could sense others around, so she made a few other clones and started to follow. As she did, the first Kikyo clone got closer and closer to the Kekkaishi clone. She threw out a kunia and hit the clone, making it disappear once the kunia hit. The scroll fell to the ground and the clone quickly retrieved it. She smiled and started to go back to the real Kikyo.

Kikyo kept going towards Kekkaishi, notcing how much difficulty he was having. The clone was sudenly running along side her. "Did you accomplish your task?" "Yes, here it is." "Excelent." "What are you going to do? You don't need that technique." "I know, I'm gonna save it for later. Good job. Now go joi the others in the search for the Kaishi clones and get rid of them." "Right." She stopped as the clone left her side. She grinned as she went over the jutsu once more and then pocketed it. She then quickly ran after Kekkaishi once more.

Kekkaishi smiled. as his other cones came to him. he knew that by know they deep for her not to see them. he sat down on a tree as his clones ran there diffrent ways. so this is how this fight ends? no my plan has to work. she is smarter faster and far supirior to me in evereything.he began to play with the gem on his necklace. he breathed in deeply letting anger surge trough his body eh would nto lose it was not in his blood to lose not know.

Kekkaishi held his screams inside of his mind letting the pain of his body healing from the smoke intake. he had made it out of the smokey part of teh forest and was know in the less smokey part. he smiled so this is the forest of no fire? i have to learn the jutsu that doesnt allow the trees to burn. but no matter she will come she is smart she probably sensed my clones alrady. i hope they can carry there plans to its full extent. damn it. why does it hurt so much? i will not lose. i will not become a weekling

Kikyo knew he was trying to get as far from her as possible. She had to work on something that would help her catch up and stay up with him. She decided that if he could learn the wind dash, then so could she. She remembered taking a glance at the scroll once, she just needed time to think about it. She stopped and crouched down. She took out a kunia and started to scribble out what it was she needed to do. While she did that, she sent her clones foward to catch up to him. She could only think of about half of the jutsu at the moment, so she sat down and unactivated her elemental vission so she could think.

The clones ran until they saw one of his clones. They instantly stopped and turned to each other. She started to whisper quiet enough so Kashi and his clones couldn't hear. "What should we do?" "How should I kow? I'm not th boss." "I thought you were." "No, you are?" "No I'm not. Wait, where's the real us." "No clue." "What should we do?" "I don't know!" "Ok, let's not panic! They're right there, so let's come up with something." "Right! Surround them and get ready to launch an attack?" "Great plan!" They split up and surounded Kekkaishi.

Kekkaishi smiled as the tripwire rope defense he set up destroyed the kykyo clones." good job . now go finsh making it as fast as you can"Kekkaishi breathed in deeply. the forest was perfect for his plan. he had set up a few tripwire defenses around. there would be no clone that could reach him. he was about to close his eyes when he rememebr who he was fighting. this battle was not to be underestimate he couldnt lose to her to much. he would not lose to her. it was not his destiny.

damn it. why do i whant to win so much? oh yeah that promise. imust keep uit. i will make the soshi clan the best. i will becoem the leader of this villageu. and i will have you as my bride kykyo. but first i miust get stronger. but how much longer can i last? how can she last as long asshe is? its not posible for her to last this long with out some sort of help.he breathed out so i can only imagine she has some sort of pill. damn it why did i not pay attention during class? all i can do know is to be sure that she whotn get to me. i know she whotn think of doing air walk. after all she hasnt seen that scroll yet. but it is around this forest. so i am guessing into close the margin she will try wind dash

She could sense her clones being destroyed. She sighed and stayed there for a moment before reluctantly standing up. She still couldn't remmber all of the hand signs, but at least she got all but three signs figured out. She reveiwed what she already remembered and then nodded. She'd have to just figure out the rest on the go. There was no way she was going to get away with sending the clones, and she knew that. She felt the extra energy from the food pills start to kick in as some of her chakara started to leak out a little. Maybe two pills was a bit much, but it was a habit from al the medicine she'd been on for the past year and just got off of a week ago.

She got closer and closer to Kekkaishi was. She knew she was. She easily got around the wire traps. How foolish he'd use something she specailized in against her. It was like he was mocking her. 'Oh well, better not let that go to my head. I need to remember my goal. I have to be the best of the best, and the only way I can do that is by never losing. Sorry Kaishi, but I have to do this. I have to become the best shinobi I can be for my late Mom, Dad, and Sister. If I don't do this for them, then who will? Besides, if I get my goal it'll help you to get this clan well known too. We'll both benifit if I can work hard enough.'

using two kunai Kekkaishi had alrady began to climb a tree. he was lucky his father had tought him how to affectively climb a tree.Kekkaishi knew that no matter what he did Kykkio would have the upper hand becouse of whatever damn thing she is using to increase her chackra.Kekkaishi had a vaige idea as to what she was using and right now he wished he had one but hedidnt. no he did not but he had one thing better no matter what she used if he could somehow increase the pain on her body no matter what pill she takes he would win. this was going to require more work.

Kekkaishi knew she was getting trought he trip wire. as soon as she walked past them he had one of his cones take the wire away a plan was begginging to form in his head. i know that she is smarter thenme. but maybe i can use that to my advantage. yes of course. i have to be abel to get her to drop her gaurd then maybe i can take one of her dang pills away from her. but the question is how in the bloddy uneverse am i to do that?i guess i could talk about her parents? no that would be to cruel.but what if i treat her like i would treat my maids? of course thats it. she whont think like a regular person. she would think i was mocking her. the why dont i just do that?he sat on one of the high branches. all i have to do know is wait for her . then maybe i can use fire blast to confuse her and get my clone close enough to steal a pill and throw it to me after i eat one. i can then procced to wind dash away from her.in a wind dash battle i should win. i do know this foresd better then her. but that might not work

Kikyo had come close to losing a few of the many items hidden up her sleeves while she was dodging the wires, including her bag full of food pills. She finnally got past all the traps and stopped. She knew Kekkaishi woldn't just let her pass through the maze of wires without one last trick to spring. She listened closely to the area aound her and found the one sound she was looking for. She brabbed her katana from off her back and swung it, hitting something that was hidden. A puff of smoke went in the air and she knew she'd destroyed the clone he had set up to attack her. Now all she had to do was make sure she didn't run into any more, which wouldn't be trouble if she just continued to stay calm. The meditation lesson was starting to come in handy now.

She knew the clone that was going to attack her was out now, so she had some time to figure out the missing peice to the jutsu. It was just that last hand sign she couldn't remember. 'Oh, what could it be?' She thought, considered, and then talked herself out of several ideas on what the last sign could be. It certainly couldn't be that hard to figure out. Kekkaishi figured it outin no time, so she had to be able to figure it out. She thought and faught with herself over what the symbol could be. Suddenly, her memory came to her and she tried the jutsu. Sure enough, the jutsu worked the first time and she was speeding through the forest. She stopped and looked up and smirked. "Hiding in the trees Kaishi? That isn't like you. You obviously must be out of energy. Why don't you just give up now and admit I'm the beter ninja?"
