The insane stage had passed, now he was just bored. He felt like a cripple, walking around on his two swords like crutches. If that dog guy saw him he'd probably laugh his head off. One more reason for him NOT to go with them. Getting ordered around didn't seem like a good reason to stay.

He became tired, and sat down. "I'm far enough, they've probably forgotten about me already." He leaned back. "I'll kill those jerks with the jewel, and then kill all I want." His plan sounded pretty stupid just saying it, but it was good enough for him.

He was getting up again, when he noticed Kumi was right behind him. "What's your problem? Why can't you leave me alone for just a second?!?!" He lifted his swords, ready to walk further. "I don't have to stay and take orders from you. If I wanted that I wouldn't have left the arena!" he began to storm off.
