Irihi winced elegantly at his sensei's indignation. Megumi did have a point... Irihi didn't know exactly what had gotten into him either. During that spar it was as if...he must win as if his life depended on it. Strange. Must be what Nyme-sama referred to as the Hyuuga clan's trademark stubbornness. His eyes curled down into regretful 'U's. "Gomen, gomen nasai sensei." Almost dejectedly he followed the indignant Jounin to the elevator. Until... Huh? He passed?! Surprise lit up his pale eyes, Lailah giving an encourage bark.

Halfway between two floors, Megumi pressed the 'stop' button. "Now, Irihi, I will give you a choice. I will, of course, train you as far as I can. However, I give you three special requests. I have made my decision, and you appear worthy to be my student. I will teach you many things, but I will be teaching you as I will. These three items-" here, Megumi held up three coins, each one about the size of a half-dollar. On each, one side bore the symbol for 'male' in green, and on the other, the symbol for 'female' in blue. "-are a special type of currency. Each one is worth another life. More specifically, my own. Three coins, each one can purchase anything you will. I do not believe in anything without equivalency. I have been put in control of your life, and now, so have you with mine. This is a very important matter, and I expect you to use your adult judgment. I will forgive you for your foolishness on the count that you will accept these conditions. Do you understand?" It was one thing to hold your own life in your hands. But you could never understand the true value until you held someone else's. Sometimes I wonder if I'm the sane one....

But Irihi simply smiled. "I will never trade them for the world." A softer tone now. "Yet Megumi-sensei will question my words, because I had never experienced the hardships of hunger or poverty." Irihi untied his current headband, embroidered beautifully with the kanjis for a singular name 'Bikou', and gave it to Megumi. With half-lidded eyes, his next words were almost a whisper. "But this means more to me than my clan name. Okaa-san's last trinket. However...the time has come for me to trade it in and proudly bear Konoha's insignia instead. And so, Megumi-sensei will have my most precious possession too." Before they knew it, they have reached the first floor.

Megumi gave the softest smile that had ever crossed his/her face. "Thank you, Irihi." Megumi gently folded the headband and placed it inside his/her jacket, with his/her other coins and his/her katana. "I promise, no harm will come to it while I hold it." Once the doors opened, Megumi was once again composed and almost surreally natural-looking. "So, what are you up for, Irihi? We have a lot to do, might as well start with what you want, right?"

"Ooh...I really don't know. All the fields seemed so fascinating. I mean, medics can save lives! Our clan have fuuinjutsu masters too...and puppet masters. Though I don't think puppet mastery will suit me...that's just creepy... Genjutsu seems pretty cool though!" About the only field Irihi hadn't mentioned was Taijutsu. Very odd, considering both Inuzuka and Hyuuga valued close-combat fighting. "Of course I'll keep practicing archery! Buuut...maybe ninjutsu first then?" Irihi thought long and hard. "Come to think of it...Nyame-sama said something about Chuunins discovering their second affinity." Irihi laughed sheepishly. "Eh..." While he knew his primary element was fire, he had no idea what his second element was.

This kid is worse at making his mind up than both of you put together. Megumi looked at Irihi. Well, then, I suppose you'll have to decide on one before we can get started. Make a list. Everything that you want to do and learn. Then take away everything that you can't do right now. And then all you've got to do is put them in order from the one you want to do most to the one you want to do least. Tell me both." Megumi smiled. Lists were good. They helped keep everything in order...

"Oh...I was thinking of an accompaniment to my archery." Irihi admitted finally, after a long moment of thinking. "Ayame Tori no Jutsu. But not used for attacking." Since Megumi might ask exactly what he plans to do with that Jutsu, the boy continued on: "I was thinking of attaching fine metal string to my arrows. But they'll have to be thin enough that it would not interfere with my shooting. Add chakra to the string for strength, and so the chakra could extend through the whole arrow." A soft pause. "An extension for my Juuken Kempo Ryuu." The boy explained. "Will we go to the library then?" The technique Irihi had chosen was advanced but it was acceptable for Chuunins and gratefully, the scroll should be in the public sections as it was a C-ranked technique.

Megumi, the planner, smiled. here was a technique that was but one step from forming a technique of his/her own design. And Irihi could use the technique that Megumi had never been able to, while improving it many times over with the Byakugan and Juuken... Megumi had never been one for bows... However, this idea had occurred to him/her, having watched masters of archery firing. "Absolutely. Shall we?" Megumi walked through the hospital doors, and a very quiet click was heard, muffled through his/her jacket, as Megumi locked his/her katana in place.

With a dutiful 'hai', Irihi proceeded to follow his sensei. This very concept of singular teaching was still taking a bit longer to settle in... It's not that Irihi was never tutored one-on-one before but for a supposed Genin squad, the feeling of something that's missing...it would always linger to haunt them both. Irihi knew well too, as plagued as he was over his teammates' unfortunate fates...the weight on Megumi's conscience was probably great. But he said nothing of it. The story of why could be saved for another time.

Megumi's HP: 630/630
Megumi's CP: 4/

Itonami carried Megumi into the hospital, walking by the desks and proceeding directly to the elevator, projecting a small thorn from the Takani to press the button to bring them to her floor. When the doors finally opened, Ito took Megumi to her office, which had a bed lying in it. Itonami knew this was the one room that no one could enter without a damned good reason. Laying Megumi's child-like frame on the mattress that Ito kept in here for both her own private use and emergencies such as this, she immediately shut and bolted every lock on the door, drawing every blind in the room to shut out any view anyone might have had, making sure that the windows were locked tight. Ito laid Megumi's jacket aside, removing his/her ninja tools and laying them on the jacket. She made sure to record the time. It had been just three minutes since Megumi had been given his/her medicine, and just another three hours, fifty-six and a half minutes until the next dose was to be administered. Such a strict regimen for a ninja. Ito carefully removed Megumi's shirt, revealing the deathly pale skin underneath, drained of all color by the absence of light for most of his/her life. The muscle underneath was finely etched. Ito ran a finger down the rib cage. Twelve. Absence of female mammary organs. Ito already knew what else could be found, below the line that was visible just above Megumi's hips, where the skin visibly softened. Itonami placed her hand over Megumi's right ovary, feeling for any abnormalities. None. Good. She drew her hand back, to check Megumi's left ovary. It was slightly swollen, which, given Megumi's fragile state, was more than enough to push him/her into a dangerous state when combined with a decent hit.

Itonami softly whispered. "You dummy, you should know better by now."

Itonami focused her chakra to her hands, and closed her eyes, visualizing a tangled root system pressing through to the injury. She focused and pushed her chakra into her old friend, wondering how many more times this could be done before the ovaries just gave out.

She also moved her hands up, healing the bruise that was beginning to form on Megumi's chest.

Shosen Jutsu
By concentrating chakra to the hand, the user is able to cure wounds by focusing their own chakra to where the critical injuries lie, healing them in the process. This jutsu, however, uses up a high amount of chakra. This may also be utilized as the Chakra Enjintou and Chakra no Mesu, or the chakra scalpel for that matter - in order to sever the opponent's muscle fibers at the point of contact.
Cp cost: 60 + 10 per 20 Hp healed
Damage: N/A
*Combat scalpel: Same as common taijutsu damage but adds chakra modifier instead of str modifier. Affected victim must roll a reflex save (DC: your attack roll) to avoid inner bleeding, should the inner bleeding check fail the victim shall lose 3 Hp per round per time hit. Also depending on the area you are hit you might receive extra penalties. Such as -10 attack roll and damage for arm and leg wounds.
Requirements: Treat Injury 50 ranks, Chakra Control 70
Training days: 15 days.
Special: If used as a combat Scalpel, user must beat defendants’ Dodge Bonus by at least 10 points to cut muscle fibers in area hit. Defender cannot use affected area until healed or for 10 turns.

Shadow moved into the hospital non-nonchalantly with his hands in his pockets. He looked at the walls and designs with a seemingly bored look. Although he acted unresponsive and laid back, he was actually going through his memories tracking when he was last here. It was almost seven years ago, he had stumbled in here with his friend on his back, and a wide smile on his face. He remembered how into training spars he would get, and how worth it that it would always be. He was older now, and still enjoyed a good spar, but now he tended to end it before breaking point. He moved through the halls and through a group of nurses silently. He moved into a room and laid on the bed, closing his eyes for a little bit. He wasn't sure if he should have checked in with he front desk before entering, but it didn't matter to him. He lay upon the bed and slowly closed his eyes. He was exhausted at this point, he wasn't sure if a nurse would find him or not, but either way he was ready for a small nap. Given, some random hospital bed wasn't exactly the most comfy place to sleep in the world, but it was better then any other place he could find. He slowly blacked out from the world around him, Yeah, a nap was what he needed right about now.

Shadow lay in the bed, in a deep rest. It was almost nice, finally getting a nap in. However after what he guessed was a few hours he felt a hand shaking him awake. He opened his eyes to see a doctor who seemed about ten years older than him hovering over him. Shadow shrugged him off and put a hand over his eyes.

Yeah, yeah. I'm awake. You plan on healing me, doc? The doctor frowned and looked at Shadow. "You haven't scheduled an appointment, and you don't seem to have much money." Shadow grinned as he set down his few remaining ryo in front of the man. They both looked at what little Shadow had and almost simultaneously started to laugh.

The doctor took his money still chuckling to himself. "You know, this shouldn't quite cut it..." Shadow looked at him, worried at what to do but the doctor continued on. "But believe it or not we haven't been that busy lately, i think it'll be alright if i make one little exception..." Shadow nodded his head muttering a thank you under his breath. It warmed his heart to see that there was still a reasonable amount of kindness around. The doctor left the room to retrieve supplies and other things, so Shadow lay back onto the bed. He chuckled to himself as he closed his eyes again.

Well, here i am... Broke again... What a surprise...
PostPosted: Fri Feb 13, 2009 3:58 pm

After a few more minutes the doctor walked back in and Shadow sat up. "Remove your cloths, please." Shadow almost made a joke about drinking, but he decided that humor would be wasted here. He removed his shirt and pants so he was just in his boxers. The doctor looked at him, obviously wondering about the open, nasty looking wounds. He moved over to Shadow, and started examining him, putting his fingers over some areas, asking if he hurt in others, etc. etc. Shadow complied with whatever the doctor asked, in truth he felt awkward being treated after his self injuries, but hey, what were you going to do?

Finally the doctor nodded his head and went to grab his bag. As he pulled out metal utensils, wire, and other things to fix up the cuts he simply said "Huh, you don't look like most shinobi..." Shadow laughed as the doctor examined his equipment.

Well, what do you mean by that? The doctor didn't respond right away. He moved back over to Shadow and started rubbing a medicine to numb the feelings in him over his cuts. He was doing this because otherwise the sewing up the wounds and everything else would hurt like hell.
