Aria's skin crawled as she felt the nonhuman approach, stopping just inches from her back --but she didn't move, didn't glance behind her. At least, until he put his hands on her shoulders...starting, she automatically stepped swiftly away, half-turning to give him a mistrustful stare.

"Do you always greet people with confusing nonsense, or am I just special?" she replied with narrowed eyes, the words out hardly before she'd thought. At least she'd managed to keep a carefully neutral tone, no sarcasm at all...

In a way, though, she was glad of this conversation --maybe she'd finally get to the bottom of why he persisted in bothering her, and why he insisted in talking in riddles. Was he just crazy? Or was there actually meaning behind his metaphors?

((I'm not sure how much we can help you, XtremeGerl ^^;; Aria's pretty good about not doing suspicious things --like fighting, or yelling, or drawing her daggers-- in front of normal humans...))

He laughed. Alot of spunk. "Yeah, you're just as special as a sale at lord&taylors. Gee golly, i think I'll just take you home to see mother." Dessik laughed again. "Did you know that if you are alone for to long you could die of lose of affection. Luckily, I am here to save you. Super-Dog to the rescue again." He kneeled down on one knee. "Know all we need is for you to grant me the 'louis lane save the world' kiss." He fell back laughing and then stopped. "I am serious."

Aria was staring at him mostly blankly in surprise, but with a bit of bewildered amusement she wasn't bothering to hide. One eyebrow quirked up, then resettled itself into a smooth line above her eye, and her mouth twisted slightly as she repressed a small grin as she turned back to the subway tracks, profile to Dessik.

"I'm sorry, I didn't quite follow all of your references..." she replied coolly, but with a hint of the entertainment that was...quickly dying in her eyes. As she continued, her voice was serious, but not really hostile: "...but I'm not going to kiss you."

She turned her head slightly to glance at him, brows knotted subtly not in suspicion or anger, but something more like a mild puzzlement.

"Why would you even ask that of a perfect stranger? Surely you didn't expect any answer but 'no'..."

"What? My heart, oh my small heart has been struck with the arrow clothed in a business suit and glasses." Dessik fell on his back dramatically and then looked up at her. "Do you think I could make broadway?" He smiled again. She was too weary for his tastes. He would have to fix that.

((^^;; Aria's not wearing a business suit or glasses, Tsukato...))

Again, Aria couldn't help grin, rubbing a hand over her eyes as she turned back to looking at the rails.

"Oh, definitely..." she agreed dryly. She slanted her eyes to watch him consideringly from the side, however, letting a small silence grow before she continued pointedly:

"If you were looking to improve my opinion of you, you could start by giving me your name..."

(( Sorry))
"Well, in that case..." He jumped back up to his feet and took her left hand and shook it gently. "Hi, I am Daeherof Dessik but you can call me Dae or Dessik. Or honey, or babe, either way 'you got me babe' sorry had a sonny and cher moment. I meant to apologize for the way I acted in the library. Some times, the pants area get in the way of my brain." He smiled, and relaxed. Fun, Fun.

Stepping down to the subway at Coney Island, Ishmael Steiner had only his revolvers and dagger at the minute, since his equipment was still in transport to N.Y., he had come to investigate rumours of vampire activity here, and had been sent to monitor it.

By the time Dessik had finished his greeting, Aria's face had a slightly glazed expression; he certainly was...energetic, wasn't he? And a bit...unrefined. Not that Aria held that against him --he seemed to be cheerful and friendly and outgoing, with a sense of humor that might've been more funny and less awkward if he wasn't a total stranger, and in Aria's opinion the world could use more people like him.

...except perhaps better able to hold their temper, she amended herself amusedly, managing to sound mostly all there as she replied to his last comment, "Oh. I...see. I am Aria." There was a pause where she might have put an 'Um.' if she hadn't been trying to hold on to her mask of self-confidence.

So, what now? Now's the time most strangers engage in boring small-talk, except he doesn't really seem to be one much for boring small-talk...oh, what the hell.

"So, where are you going?" the huntress asked with as much dignity as she could muster --albeit no longer frosty cold dignity.

he walked into the subway following a human with a broken arm
the people they call doctors will never believe him and he'll never make it
without thinking he walked behind the human snapped his neck
as the next train passed he crossed the track and entered and sewers carrying the mortal
turning into his wolf he began to feed on the human

"Ah, well you know, I wasn't going anywhere. I'd just taken a swim and I thought I would get a free air dry. Luckily my hair doesn't poof up when it dries. I'm too slick." He picked a comb out of his pocket and ran it through his hair quick before tossing it into the rails. "No tangles. But anyway, I'm hungry-ish, wanna go out and eat somewhere?" He rubbed his stomach and patted his head. "Look at me, sobriety test fun."

"That's nice, but can you do it backwards and having switched hands?" Aria replied amusedly; her expression slid into something more apologetic, however, as she continued, "I can't...I have too much to do at home. I'm sorry..."

It was a partial truth, at least; she didn't have a list of chores waiting on the refridgerator, but she could undoubtedly find plenty to keep her busy at her apartment. And she needed an excuse to not go with him...

"No? Come on, I like cheese, you like... wait... no... I don't know you like. See that's why coming to eat with me would show me what you like. I want to know everything so why not start on the habits of women in the city. It could be more like an experiment." He chuckled before he continued. "Just think. You could be helping the scientific world with the question no one can answer. What do women eat? We all know what guys eat. Junk food and red meat." He stuck his hands in his pockets. "So what do you say? And before you say anything think... Do you really want to say no to a face only a mother can love?" He smiled.

"Hey, bro. I thought I smelled you down here." Aislann walked over to him and saw over his shoulder the woman. "Oh, well, hi there. You look like a winner in my book." He shoved Dessik out the way. "Is my brother trying to get you to be his friend?" He didn't wait for her to answer before he went on. "You're real pretty." He smiled a famous Mirimota smile. "My name's Aislann. What's your's?"

"Are you serious, Lann? Go bother the sister, alright. I'll see you guys later." He gave him a brief hug before he turned him around and kicked him in the a** to get him moving. Only after Aislann had turned a corner did he turn back to her. "Sorry, he's family. You can see the same characteristics and then there are some that are so different that I am barely sure where he came from. By the way, he's a demon. And the sister, Vampire. Long story short, there were problems in the family."
He noticed how sobering the atmosphere had gotten and didn't like it.
