Death_of_Dawn73 First off, his name is Nobody..not strife. And second, always be on your guard..There's something strange about him.. -she turned and disappeared down the staircase, her cloak billowing behind her. She snapped, making her poisoned throwing knives appear on her leg in their sheaths. She settled on a rafter in the shadows of the Dance Hall and waited..- Fine...I'll edit the post after this... *He followed Dawn back to the foyer and threw her a look in the rafters with his arms crossed* What? Scared to greet an old man at the door? *Wesker swung the door open and gave the old man a bright fangy smile* What are you doing here? You don't smell like a vampire... *The man didn't seem surprised one bit. He actually rolled his eyes at the annoying vampire standing before him...* "I have traveled from a far away village, seeking help you see. I came here to fight fire with fire, you know?" said the wrinkly old man, as he looked for someone else to speak to. Whatever you need to say, you can say to me! *The man threw Wesker a disgusted look* "Fine then," he said briskly. "Another clan of vampires have raided my village, and managed to steal half of this artifact." *He flashed the object from his pocket* Cont...

Why''d they only take half? "If you''d let me finish, you''d find out! The gem was guarded, since it enhances our crop every year, and our shaman fired a spell at the invaders to knock the gem out of their forsaken hands. The spell hit the gem, and broke it in two...very unfortunate...," said the man, as if recalling the event.
"We recovered this part, but the magic is not strong enough to support our village, and many of the Fickrians are starving," the man stated matter-of-factly. "Our leaders wanted to offer the job to some other cursed beasts so our village would not suffer the losses from recovering the artifact...by the way, my name is James...," he said with his first hint of nervousness.
Right. Well, I don''t decide this kind of thing around here... "Really. I wouldn''t have guessed. Your bunch will be compensated...," said James, regaining his confidence.

-she jumped out of the rafters and landed heavily on her feet, her heels clicking on the wood. She rushed forward to greet the old man, her cloak billowing behind her. As she passed Wesker she gave him a look back, her eyes turning a pale blue for a fraction of a second. She turned back to the man and pulled the hood of her dark cloak off. She spoke to him with an air of eloquence, without being foolish-
Greetings..Pardon this one here..-she inclined her head towards Wesker.-
Please..come in out of the rain..

"Thank you," said James. *James stepped into the room, lowered his hood, and smiled at Dawn. Wesker gave Dawn an annoyed look, but held his tongue.* "So, what do you think of making a deal here? I'll let you make the first offer...," said James. "Or perhaps you have other questions?" Cont. later...

*He lets out a sigh as his eyes turn to Death and her little pet. He shakes his head and whispers stilling giving his full attention to the woman in front of him* People...even given the power of the kiss and still they wish to over step their boundaries. Oh well, if they choose to fight for it then it is their choice to not be reinforced. And yet, I do hate people that kill vampires.

*Her eyes calmly watch the scene take place, she had seen this many times before. Too many times before* Some vampires need death, true death, but I doubt those would be involved in such a raid unles this was a death wish. I have watched humans become vampires, I have watched them struggle before giving in, I have so pitied them, for I am with every fledgling as they change and sometimes the breaking of the soul is not a pretty site... Vampirism becomes a whole different matter when you lead a soul into a living dead limbo... But this is different I suppose.... *She blinks, her mind coming away from memory as he gaze turns back to the vampire infront of her* You'll have to forgive me, I don't hate vampires by any means, atleast not the type that chose their fledglings wisely. You have to understand, I have a very different line of work... *She smirks, changing the subject* You are honest in that you are not cruel, but way too modest. Vampires still have hearts whether their's beat or no... *She watches his eyes, running her fingers through a lock of his hair* Indeed, vampires are simply creatures with insatiable love... *she turns and walks out onto a balcony, looking out into the night air, totally ignoring the rain that turned her body a near translucent silver and made her hair flow down her back in a wave-like blue cascade*

"I had no idea vampires were so touchy. If it helps my case at all, you wouldn't need to kill the vampires...I just want the other half of our gem. To be honest, the vampires may not even have it; it is very likely they thought the gem would enhance their powers, and dropped it when they found out otherwise," stated the weary man. *James threw his hood over what was left of his grey hair, and prepared to leave* "If you don't want to help, it is surely no problem at all," James said with a reassuring tone.

His eyes follow her movement as he walks away. He lightly slides his fingers along his chest. His chest slowly slides open trailing his fingers revealing no heart or organs in his chest* I am not a normal vampire anymore. I have had some things done to me that I somewhat wish for other people not to have done to them. And old man, I was just merely pointing out to the members of this Covenant that we do not support the killing of other vampires and demons so they would not be helped out by us. Also, I do get hired to protect other vampires from time to time and it would be somewhat sad to see them on the other side of my blade. *He slowly turns and begins to walk to the fireplace of the manner. He seems to be smiling quite strangely*

*She turns around, still standing in the rain, watching him, not knowing what made her so curious about him. He seemed almost familiar. She walks from the rain, following him to sit in front of the fire, but she sits a little ways away and on the floor. She winces into the heat, he eyes squinting as most of the water covering her absorbed into her skin and her clothes suddenly changing, becoming a simply midnight blue dress that hugged her torso tightly and was loose from her hips to just above her knees where he hemline lay. She waits a few moments before finally saying softly* It was against your will wasn't it...? Or atleast part of the transformation... *She turns her eyes to him* If not then you have changed greatly since the day your died... You don't remember me, I was there.... but your consciousness wouldn't remember

-she suppressed a grin at Gargoyle's comment to the old man. She pulled the hood of her own cloak over her head, hiding her face. she moved to the door and looked out into the rain, then turned back to James..-
Will you be leaving so soon? You are welcome to stay..if you wish it. Though I may warn you..some vampires are not very hospitable..

You are welcome to stay..if you wish it. Though I may warn you..some vampires are not very hospitable.. *James becomes very hasty after shouts are heard outside the Dancehall* "No...I'm quite all right really...I must find more agreeable help for my village...," said James, clearly distraught. *At that time, he flashed a quick wave goodbye, opened the door, and dashed out while it remained open. He did not make it far however, a large flash of the flight knocked him to the ground and two men of authority came to collect his unconscious body.* "Greetings," said the officer on the left. "We're sorry about using this force on your grounds, but this man, Nelos Colvien, has been running rampant for months now. You see, he asks people for help with a story he makes up using this light enchantment here...*The officer gestures to the gem, which is now multicolored.*...and then pickpockets the targets when in range." "In fact, it seems he has taken something from one of you," the large officer on the right commented. "Any citizens here happen to own a silver watch?" Yes, that's mine... *The large officer approached the entrance and handed the watch to Wesker.* "Wait," said the officer, somewhat confused. "You're vampires, aren't-" *Wesker slammed the door in the officer's face.* I can't believe that man stole my watch! evil
