Genno twitches a bit but is too far asleep to do or hear anything.

Sam got up and told Genno that they were moving to the wagon.
"I don't feel safe out here...."

Just then, Kakashi walked back in from meditating in the woods to see Kabuto on top of Sam. He walks over to him and punts him in the ribs sending him sailing 20 yards away from Sam. He then replies "That's no way to treat a lady." He walks over to Sam and asks if she was okay. To prevent Kabuto from doing anymore shameful things Kakashi bedded down next to Sam but not so close as to be awkward. He then lapsed off into a sleep and had a sweet dreams of the good days with Hideki before he turned evil. Genno also was in his dream.

Genno woke early, laughing at Kakashi and asking if he was going to put a sword between himself and Sam like the chivalrous knights of old... still laughing and in good spirits Genno set up a cooking camp. He then disappeared and came back and hour later with block of ice containing Kabuto. He handed Sam a poorly crafted hammer, but it would serve her purposes. "Shatter him?" he asked.

Kakashi, also in high spirits, told Sam to take the honors. He then in all seriousness went to Genno and whispered to him, "I don't think Hideki is dead. Last night I could still feel his slight presence. I'm not sure, but I think some part of him is still alive, but don't tell the other group members. I don't want to worry them." He then reports back to Sam pronto and asks if she would like some breakfast. He replied cheerfully "Genno's cooking!! That's if he doesn't eat me first."

Genno fries up some mushrooms in butter and garlic and places the concoction of top of ramen. He smiles to them as he serves the dish, then walks back to the castle. "Forgot stuff in there... and Zaan for that matter. Kakashi, come on, I may need your sharingan..."

(Sorry bout that...let's just say I torped...)
Zaan lies motionless on the floor of the castle, the shattered remains of both the Shadow Servant and Hideki's creature nearby. Sensing Genno and Kakashi, he sends them a message. 'I'm up here...alive, but... Just come get me, I'll explain when you get here.'

Sam grabbed the hammer happily. She smashed the block of ice and peices went flying everywhere. "Thanks..."

Genno raced up to the area Zaan was still at. "Urm... what happened?" he asked.

'Overestimated this thing. It...' Zaan begins searching for the right way to explain it. 'It killed me. But I can't die, so instead I'm in what's called Torpor. I'm still aware, but I can't do anything.'

"So how do I fix that?" Genno asked. He then was stricken with remebering why he came up there. "Is Hideki still here?" he asked.

"Umm, sure......" Genno started. He took out his sword and made a cut on the back of his hand. Keeping his thoughts buried so Zaan wouldn't know what he was thinking, he let the blood droplets fall into Zaan's mouth.

Zaan's eyes fly open after the blood has made its way down his throat. Sitting up, he looks around wildly. Grabbing the corpse of Hideki's minion, he sinks his fangs into it and noisily drains it dry. Standing, he says "Much better. Now then...Hideki? Hold, I'll check." Zaan concentrates a moment before blinking. He points at a strange looking creature near the throne. 'There. Hideki's hiding in that...whatever it is.'
