I seem to need more hugs than average people. But I'm just pissed, sad, and relieved to be back home after what happened.

*relieved there was a thread for this, rather than feeling like a whiner and makeing her own.*
Oy... I'm feeling bummed. I'm living in a new town with my new husband, and after the most wonderful honeymoon ever and a week or so of getting the house in order, I've set my stuborn sites on getting a job.
A couple weeks after the hunt started, here I am a good 13 applications later and no job. Got 2 interviews, but it seemed pretty apparent that they either weren't hiring (then why did they schedule me an interview?) or didn't want someone like me.
Me being college educated, with a solid work history in a variety of fields, flexible in number of hours and rate of pay, all I want is to be home by 5 to be with my husband and to not work Sundays. And for flexible Saturdays.
When you put everything together, it's not asking that much, for serious, people! *Flops on her back and tries to keep up the momentum of the hunt when she's still feeling really down.*
Yesterday, I went to turn in an application for a waitress position, and the lady told me they were looking for kitchen help, and the hiring manager was in a meeting until 3:30. It was 2:30, so I actually asked for my application back, went to a nearby store, studied for an hour, went back and asked directly for the hiring manager, I actually had makeup on people, that's how desperate I'm getting for jobs!!! And when i got right to the point and said that I'd been told that they were looking for kitchen help, HE said he hadn't heard about that, and they weren't hiring for any positions, but call back so your application is up to date and we'd be glad to keep you in mind in the future etc.
*Vision goes red*
Man..... I feel really useless without a job. >.< I'd work minimum wage right now. for serious. And be happy about it too.
Meh.

*hug* I'm definitely with you on this one. Currently, I've been trying to get a new job myself. After turning in some applications I haven't even got a call. Funny how they go to Now Hiring to filled when I apply. The only thing I need is that the job need to pay as much as my last job. That paid 12 an hour. This phone banker position I was aiming for was going to pay 16, yes please.
I'm feeling some pressure. My brother Armando wants to get a new house. He and his Girl both asked for me to move in with them. I'm trying to move the hell out. I got til New Years...

Meh. *hug* iv been in this exact situation the only difference is that you have exp. and i dont, the only advice i can offer is try and find a friend that works somewhere and ask for a "hook up" thats how I got the job at safeway, people telling me when they were hiring and when the hiring managers were in
