"You were fine." Kaleb said irritably, starting to forget about the movie. "But if your ribs hurt so much, we'd better put some ice on." His body warmed up briefly for a moment as he cast a shield spell upon himself, but immediately after that he would feel icy cold against the redhead's body.

"Ahh s**t cold!" He wiggled his arms under Kaleb to push him up off him. "That's not funny."

Kaleb squirmed a bit in his lap, trying to get himself closer. "But you said I hurt you, a bit of ice should make your ribs feel much better."

"Nonono ice hurts!" He wailed as he tried to get Kaleb out of his lap. "Cold does not go nicely with what you're sitting on!"
Rude snorted and Reno started to flail around. Served him right.

Kaleb was pretty tenacious, and managed to stay in Reno's lap despite all the flailing. "Oh, ice usually helps," he said simply after a bit, and then let go of the spell. He still channeled some energy though, so Reno would be able to warm himself back up quickly enough.

Kaleb smiled innocently and snuggled back up against him, feeling much better than he had five minutes ago.

Kaleb glanced up at him again, still wearing that innocent expression. "You complained about your ribs, and I did what I thought would be best for them. You said nothing at all about other things." He rested his head against Reno's chest, channeling a bit more energy and warming up some.
