And with that, anything fun about the situation wilted. Died. Got shot straight through the heart and withered.
"....Gomen," he murmured in response, making sure to remain out of eye contact.
Well... that had... been a mistake... damnably...

Let's be clear-- it wasn't that Hisoka didn't like Tsuzuki. Quite the opposite. But he still didn't like such open affection-- not when there were people nearby-- like Hao in the kitchen or whever the demon had flown off to.
Blushing terribly, the kitten continued to glare at his ramen.

Unfortunately, all it would've taken to clear the air on at least one half of the boiling issue would be for Tsuzuki to look up and notice the blush. With that might've come the realization that... well... Hisoka was Hisoka, and the boy didn't approve of public relationships. Just... far too traditional, down at the core.
Silence grew, drowning hope for amends. Nothing else came to mind. No excuses, no apologies, no 'Why don't we pretend it just didn't happen' kind of cover ups. Too late, too fed-up with that kind of surrender.
"Maybe I should just head home, ne?" he said finally, voice caught with half embarassment, half guilt.

Hisoka couldn't stop a whimper at those words, although he still didn't look up. His face still burned with that damnable blush; the kiss still lingering on his lips, sweeter than the sunsets Hisoka loved to watch...

And now we all know why we have ears. Tsuzuki glanced towards the whimper sharply, seeing the delicate blush creeping across the kitten's face, so bright it might've been visible from miles away.Miles and miles of deliciously abandoned heartache away.
Guilt found itself shoved aside in the name of understanding and with a tentative return to playful, the puppy reached over a third time to steal a piece of gyoza. "Then again, maybe I'm wrong," he suggested carefully, chopsticks hovering over the food as he leaned forward ever so slightly, hoping to catch a hint of green, green eyes, no matter what their expression might be.

Hisoka flushed more. He... he didn't know what to say, how to act...
Let's face it. The kitten was confused because he knew what he wanted and yet he didn't know why Tsuzuki had kissed him, why the wolf was saying things-- or what the wolf was saying, as Hisoka happened to be quite oblivious to just about everything except the confusion within currently revolving around whether or not to go with the flow-- because part of him wanted to move and kiss Tsuzuki and hold the wolf close...
((Yay for run on sentences....))

Asteil turned on his bed again, considering things in his mind. Part of him wanted to go find Kairos and ask him for his opinion regarding the conversation the demon had just held with Atticus... but part of him knew that he had to figure this out by himself. He had to understand... the past was part of him, wasn't it? Something had shaped his personality...
And right now he had no idea what it was.
Strange-- he hadn't been so intent on finding his memories a bit before. Maybe part of it was wanting to be able to share with Kairos more... he wanted the cat to see him as more than just the flighty demon, or the demon who happened to read philosophical books. Part of it was also though... Kairos knew his own past. He'd shared part of it with Asteil-- whether either of them had quite realized it at that time was another question.
But now... if he had the chance to find his past, he should take it. Right? Right?
Sighing, he moved to go talk with Kaine-- the fox understood amnesia better than anyone else in the house.

Treating the silence with grace (as was probably a good idea), Tsuzuki's hovering chopsticks picked up a gyoza and moved it deftly in front of the kitten's mouth "It's good for you, 'soka~--come on, don't leave me hanging here."

Hisoka glanced at Tsuzuki, forcing the blush away as he kept his mouth shut tight. No way was he going to let Tsuzuki feed him like that...

And a slow, tepid return to normality and less tension. Not so bad. No kisses, true, so that was less okay... But it was better than nothing at all--so much better than nothing at all. "If you really don't want it then..." he waved it once, gracefully, letting the scent tease the kitten's sensitive nose before drawing it closer to his own mouth, "Last chance, 'soka..."

Hisoka delicately picked up his own chopsticks in response, stealing one of Tsuzuki's gyoza and eating it in one bite. Hah.

Tsuzuki's eyebrow twitched as he was reminded quite emphatically of their first, less than friendly, encounter. To avoid a replay and in part for sake of retaliation, he put the gyoza gingerly back on Hisoka's plate, crossed his arms and stared at the kitten.

Hisoka couldn't help but laugh at the look Tsuzuki gave him. "Reminiscing?" he asked daintily returning to his own ramen.

Sniffing just as delicately, Tsuzuki toyed with his own food (for once). "Maaaybe... You going to end up drunk and in my bed tonight too?" he teased, still feeling the need for vengeance over the lost gyoza.

Hisoka rolled his eyes. "No-- I'm never going to let myself get drunk like that again," he vowed. "Although, you owe me..."
