((XD Just remember pages back, when I had Mariko hit on Tracey because I thought Tracey was a girl due to the name...))
Mariko's knobbly hands sprung back as fast as cracking a whip. "Damn! It's you!" she pouted angrily. "Ah thoughts you was a woman," she added insolently and gave him a once over before sniffing to Alette, "Damn."

Tracey didn't roll his eyes like he would have wanted to, instead, he shook his head and responded, "How is your hand?" He remembered, and used the refrence to prove that he cared about his crew. With a woman like her, he was very happy she only seemed to like women. The last thing he needed was trouble like this.

Mariko waved around the light splint wrapped on her right wrist. "Bahhh, can't fiddle for now, but soon be off!" she replied cheerily. "Least cin cook parrots... Say, Cap'n, when we be finding more of those damn buggers? Alette says there be one here."

Alette just looked curiously at the new Captain, who she thought was rather cute, and Mariko, she gave a nodded as a smiled curled upon her lips,"Yup there be one nearby! WAIT!!! OHMIGAWD!!!! I THINK I CAN HEAR ONE!!!" She squeeled as hoped up and down giddily. And sure enough a squawk issued into the air,"It's this way!!!" SHe said as she motioned towards Mariko and Tracey as she inched down the hall slowly and silently.

He looked at the wrist then back to her, nodding he comments, "Thats good." An eyebrow that was raised before went right back up when she talked about cooking parrots, "I was not aware there were even parrots on this island, though chickens are much better tasting. We will be going somewhere shortly that will have the birds and treasure." He had made the decision but at least wanted to talk to his officers first.
Now he was looking at 'Alette', someone he didn't even know was on the ship. Unsure if the woman was insane like the other one or not, he says, "I will stay here for the rest of the crew to talk to, but you to can find that parrot, if its here." He didn't believe it, of course, and didn't even know if he should encourage them or not.

Mariko sighed. "Chickens bad. That's why Ah be wantin' ter set sails. No parrots, no point being here- Hey, whatdya say? We go somewhere with parrots? Where?" She looked around madly, as if she could see the destination. "Say, it better be fat parrots... Not the scrawny lil' buggers back on me old ship," she told him before turning to Alette.
"So of course it's here, rightcha, Best Friends?" she declared. "Lookit the Cap'n, ain't believin' us! That ain't healthy- there're always parrots around unless ye cin prove otherwise."

Tracey stopped himself from shaking his head. This woman was backwards as can be, would he even be able to depend on her as a crewmember? That was something he'd talk with his officers about. For the most part, she was harmless so he didnt think too much of it. "The parrots should be fat, the place we are going has them naturally, means they know how to get the food and keep themselves in great condition."
To her comment, he finally says, "Prove to me there is a parrot, and then I'll believe you." He was captain after all, he didn't have to prove anything.

((Actually, Mariko is as backwards as a beluga, which is a medium-sized melon-cranium toothed whale not known for any strange behavior, but that was the first alliteration that came to mind.))
Mariko sniffed and muttered something in some foreign language that likely wasn't even a real language.
"Well, Ah'm here," she began slowly. "And you're here. And Alette be here too. If Ah go where ever there are parrots, and Ah came here, then there gotta be parrots here. And since Ah eat parrots, and Ah ate last night, then me eating last night means that there are parrots about."

Marius had come up on deck just in time to hear Tracey's announcement. He decided that that was good news and was pleased to hear that they would be leaving soon. He didn't really know the man, or the ones that he had appointed officers, but he had seen how well he had kept the ship organized after they had all first joined and thought that Tracey would make a very good captain.
He took a few deep breathes of the fresh air, before heading back down below. He had work to finish.

A strange, flamboyantly-dressed Frenchwoman climbed through the window of the captain's cabin, cursing to herself that she had to swing like a monkey from the docks around to the ship's stern and climb ten feet of rope just to reach the blasted window. "C'est la vie," the woman sighed softly. Undaunted, she begins to examine the captain's bookshelf. After all, if she was to join the crew, the strange woman needed to know how intelligent the captain was. A few unremarkable books and tomes, unfortunately. And none of them in French.

Tracey tried to get her logic, it was orginized well enough, but so faulty it wouldn't float. "I severly doubt you eat only parrots, else you would have been starved right now." He looked hard at the ropes at the back of the ship. Their behavior was funny and he went to investigate. Looking over, he didn't see anyhing but was sure the swinging was off.
Frowning with thought, he decided it was probably a good idea to look below and check around. Looking back to the insane woman, and Alette he says, "If you can find a parrot, then I'd love to see it." Then he headed below deck and started to look around, curious if he had just been seeing things, infected by whatever made the insane woman so mad.

"There's one in ya cabin, Cap'n!" Mariko told him, trying to grab Tracey before he left. That's one nice butt. Too bad it's on the wrong gender, she thought. "Ohhhhh, Ah'll show YOU!" she exclaimed and stomped to the Captain's cabin, where she heard swishing and rustling noises that could only be created by the mystery parrot.
Was the door locked or not? Mariko couldn't tell, so she started banging on the door.
"OPEN UP, YA DUMB BIRDY!" she bellowed, pounding with her large fists.

ooc: Tracey would be in biig trouble with Tia if Mariko ever decided she was bi XD
IC: Tracey was headed that way anyway, so he didn't mind keeping pace with Mariko. It was killing, shoot him for the pun, two birds with one stone. He already knew what was in that cabin, even if he didn't have much time to change out his style from the former Captain's but he did know there were no parrots in it.
With Erin, his 100 pound rottweiler started to growl and Mariko clearly heard the same thing he did, he became concerned. With his hand on his saber ready to draw it, he stepped to the door and opened it, pushing it open.
Seeing a frenchwoman in his cabin, he was on edge because he had no idea who she was. "Who are you and what are you doing in my cabin?" Erin stayed at his side, a low growl rumbling through her as she warned off any sudden movements.

((Be glad she's 100% homo then! XD))
Mariko eyed the rottweiler a few moments, but then lost interest in the huge dog. Dogs were common meat for peasants, and they were stringy. She preferred parrots any day.
"Hah!" she cried. "I told you there was a parrot in there!" Mariko chortled with glee and drew herself up. "Let's see... Ah clearly remember you betting a shipload o' parrots if there was a parrot in."

ooc: 3nodding and that she doesn't eat dogs
Tracey didn't know about the woman in his cabin, though glad this wasn't anything he had to explain to anyone. Raither, the woman had a lot of explaining to do.
Looking to Mariko he told her, "The only living thing in my Cabin is young woman who has yet to even identify herself." Tracey made it a point never to raise a hand to a woman, no matter what, but he kept his hand on his saber, both to not appear weak and to show her that he was prepared to defend himself and crew should she think to cause trouble.
