Well, I am very sad to hear that he also ignores invunerable saves but...
I think you may still be missing my point...I posted the info about the thunderhammer squad as a point that sacrificing an assualt squad to save a terminator squad that can possibly stand it's own is a completely...well...stupid idea. Although, in your defence, assualting a nightbringer with almost anything is a pretty stupid idea. You can easily pick him off from the back lines so...I would deffinately stick to that. Plus, that would be a hefty loss on the SM players part to lose those terminators...even if they had a chance, I would problably just rather shoot him like stated above. As I'm sure you full well know.

As I'm sure you full well know. Naturally, shooting the Nightbringer is always best. Also, I may have mis-presented my initial point involving the Assault Squad. I should have said that I would rush them into an assault with the Nightbring if I knew he'd be assault a squad of Terminators I had major plans for in the battle, seeing as how their excellent speed makes for a good interception unit for long enough to have the Terminators escape harms way. *Shrugs* I'm a horrible general though, I tend to only care for my most valuable units, viewing all the rest as cannon fodder really. For me, they only exist to keep the good units alive. Strangely enough, I choose to play both a Daemonhunter army composed entirely of Grey Knights and Grey Knight Terminators, and Necrons. I have the worst mindset for said armies, because each and every single unit that compose them are important and I just can't use bring myself to sacrice them...

I'm surprised it's this hard for us to really understand what eachother are saying then? sweatdrop I too play DaemonHunters, although not pure Grey Knights...just close. But I know what you mean...often I end up wrighting fluff on battles I have which, although cool, really screws you up during the game because you often don't want to put you men in good situations because your afraid of the losses that you'll have to wright about and with Grey knights...every model is valuable.

Eh, have you ever played a lucky necron player? Heh, if not...run! When you find one...run! You'll spend more time complaining and well actually taking it out on the necron player than enjoying the game. wink

When Necron Players start ressurecting their men twenty times over it drives me crazy. And I also had a problm with a Necron Lod that wouldn't die. I had to kill him three times before he finally stayed dead...I ended up winning that game...barely...

What makes necron lords even worse, is a Phylactery, which allows them to come back with 1, 2 or 3 wounds. And the lords on destroyer bodies, who can't be instant killed by anything... Hypothetical (c.combat) situation here: Nightbringer vs. 3 eldar wraithlords? Who'd win and why?

Hmm..I've read through my new codex a few times now and i really have to say..I wouldn't bother with taking any of the C'TAN.
They might be powerfull as with their high strenght and abilities (deceive , gaze of death ,...) but their for the points they cost i can easily take at least another squad of warriors. And they seem to be more important as a major drawback of the necrons is that "25 % left ==> we're teleporting out of here!" -rule.
More warriors, more energy for the gods to feed upon.. That doesn't mean I'm not excited to read and see the two other remaining C'TAN wake up though...

mastermindjarlino That doesn't mean I'm not excited to read and see the two other remaining C'TAN wake up though... Won't happen. The C'tan eat stars for energy. If the one on Mars woke up, he'd be pretty hungry. What is the closest star to mars? OUR SUN. Bye bye Terra. bye bye Mars, bye bye Emperor, Bye bye Imperium. So... That's the space marine's technology destroyed and the majority of all other Imperial vehicles and supplies gone. All that's left is a few pieces that will slowly be destroyed. In short, the game would end, should that one ever wake up.

Cagalli Yura Attha So... That's the space marine's technology destroyed Hmm. I didn't think of this yet, however Isn't it true that most faction headquarters ( like the main base on ultramar) have their weapons and technology stored there rather then on Terra? Also I think I've figured out the location of the last C'TAN. (thanks to your information about the third one's location.) According to The maps and data logs there is one planet which is located in the mouth of the hive fleet labeled "leviathan". Only something very important could possibly hold back the mightiest of tyranid fleets. There are no further investigations on that planet by the adaptes mechanicus yet because of it's location though so nothing is sure for now...

I think the "star gods" bit is just a thing to seperate them from the Warp gods and show that they're anchored in the material plane. But yeah, it won't happen because then the Imperium would be screwed, but for a diferent reason. It'd have a sizable ambush force right on it's doorstep, and probably couldn't react fast enough.

If you had read the wiki article i had posted then you would know Cagalli is right. The C'tan loved stars for food(preferably with soy sauce.) I don't think they consume stars any more because they are now in their physical forms.Perhaps they now feed on life force. I,for one, would love to see the outsider make an appearance. Hopefully not as the Hive Mind but as a dejected former god out to destroy everything, including the other C'tan.Why?Dunno.Is it a badly thought out idea?Yes. But still I like it.
