Jessica stared at the boy, surprised by his sudden outburst. Just as she had suspected he was a bit troubled, but even so she wasn't about to back down. "I'm not leaving." She said stubbornly in reply to him.

" Well......I kinda didn't really ask anyone for help... " She answered as her mind flashed back to all of the many sprites and spirits that had motioned to her previously. She felt terrible. They were lost and it was all her fault. It would be night soon and there was no way that they'd want to be caught in an 'enchanted' forest at night. They'd probebly have to fight their way out if it became dark. A smile danced on her face at the idea of Reizo fighting for her saftey. She stared at the river in deep thought. The river usually led a larger lake or pool. At the thought of a lake, she remembered the lake from the courtyard. This river must be where the water from the lake comes from! She tried her hardest not to smile at this discovery, it was a serious time. " But, what if it doesn't? " She immediatly thought. " It's a huge risk that we can't take.... "
" Maybe, " She began at an almost inaudible level, " We should follow the riverbank or ask one of the treespirits for help.... "

Blaze frowned
"Leave or I'll melt you!" Blaze threatened the girl. He knew he really wasn't about to use his powers on the girl just because she wouldn't leave, he was just trying to scare her away.

"I'll go wherever." Reizo replied to her with a shrug. It really didn't matter to him the direction in which the two took. Of course a battle was a good way to prove himself to her, but he was far from the fighting mood. Oh well... Then again, taking the way that would take the longest for them to get back was preferred. However, he knew that if he needed to he could easily use a spell that would cast them deeper into the forest without Shiia knowing. Oh, what would he do without magic?---
"You won't melt me, silly." Jessica said with both a grin and a laugh in reply to the boy. She could tell he was bluffing, yet she still didn't like the bluff. Violence was far from the answer in her eyes.

"I'm not troubled!" Blaze shouted at her "I've just had a lot of bad things happen to me in the past" He said and his tone quieted down.
"What's up with this girl and why isn't she afraid?" Blaze wondered staring at her and then turned away.

"I'm not afraid cause I know you're not going to attack me." Jessica replied to him matter-of-factly, her award winning smile returning to her face.
"Cmon, don't be so gloomy. I've had bad things happen to me too."

After Maru entered the forest, he immediately noticed Shiia. As he walked up to her, he though about how he would eplain this awkward situation. It was obvious that she was pretty shy, he would have to be very nice to her.
As he approached her, he started with, "Well, I'm terribly sorry about before, I suppose I was pretty tired. It had nothing to do with you really. I'd actually like to talk to a you a bit more, Shiia."

Shiia smiled when she saw the boy from the courtyard. " Uh...It's okay. " She said quietly, the volume of her voice had yet to change since she entered the forest. She saw Reizo's confused look when the boy entered the forest seemingly out of nowhere and smiled sympothetically. " Uh....You wouldn't by any chance know the way out of here? We're kinda lost and it's getting dark. "

"All of you? You're all lost? Well, of course I know how to get back. It's just straight back from where I came," he said gesturing backward. When he turned he realized that from here they actually couldn't see the school. He laughed a bit, and then simply added, "Follow me," as he began walking.

Shiia followed him and Reizo followed closely behind. Shiia was silent and was focusing on chance that they might not make it out before it got dark. She would have to string up her bow and probebly waste a good number of arrows on wolves or other strange creatures. She let out a soft sigh and decided not to think about it anymore. The whole subject was stressing her out.
The sun was continuing it's path across the sky and shadows began to form on the brown dirt and grass. Each minute they walked, it seemed like there were more eyes peeking out of the trees over to stare at the small group.
Shiia became more and more nervous with every passing minute, though she tried her hardest to look 'normal', but what was normal for a somewhat isolated elf?

Damn... Reizo though to himself annoyed. He had planned on being stuck in the forest, and having some random guy come and save them wasn't part of the plan. "You know you don't have to help us." Reizo announced to the boy. "We can find our way out on our own."

After hearing Reizo, Maru suddenly stopped and turned around. "Oh, well, I'm sorry, stay if you wish," he said with a small smile. It was somewhat funny to him that the boy wanted to stay lost here. When he glanced at Shiia, she seemed to be a bit nervous, though trying to hide it a bit.

Shiia moved over next to the boy she'd met at the courtyard, then looked at the ground. " Uh, Reizo. It's not that I don't want to- " She started softly, but couldn't finish. Out of the woods came a mighty howl and a large group of four wolves jumped out of the thickets. The large wolves formed a rink around the small group and began to snarl. Shiia stared at the beast and realized she wouldn't have enough time to string her bow. Shiia's hand quickly went to behind her, inside her quiver, and came back to her side with a small knife concealed inside it. She grit her teeth and prepared. Quickly, her head turned to the side to see how the others were handling this ambush.

Maru noticed that Shiia was obviously on his side, and that it was pretty unfortunate for Reizo.
As many wolves suddenly surrounded the group, Maru knew what he would have to do. He didn't have any abilities that would help him fight the beasts, but he did have knowledge. He began picturing the entire situation, and quickly made a small strategy. This was something that would buy him time to think more. He turned in order to be back-to-back with Shiia. "Well, let's hope we get out of this alive. My name is Maru, by the way," he added as he prepared to execute his plan.
