I guess Arisa's pregnancy and Erika's sttempted suicide were too much for them confused I agree with you though...it seems so innocent (but then not everything is as innocent as it looks eh?)

o.O;; Hmm..I think it would be cool if Watase-san came around Gaia to see all her loyal fans here! I think that would be cool... Oh I have the 5th volume of Imadoki is a little bit good..I mean I would have liked for the story to keep going but..Oh I definetely don't want to spoil it so I'll wait until you guys read it as well..the only thing that I will tell you is that in the 5th manga Watase-san makes 2 short stories. One about how Tampopo and her friends get their fox pets which is a cool story and the other one doesn't have to do with Imadoki at all..is just there for show

So most of the people know what happens.

For fanmail, she just gets her translators (right?) so I don't think it would need to be in japanese...though she probably prefers it. I gave up on sending fanmail a while ago. I sent some to Tokyopop to send to Wataru Yoshizumi one time but they never replied (they have that bad habit xp But I'm sure all publishing companies do that too).
Basically, I don't know if I'd want to keep sending so much fanmail in, hoping the mangaka reads at least one letter. I'm very much as pessimist that thinks some things'll just never happen rolleyes

I doubt Watase receives fanmail in English, and I'm positive that she wouldn't hire a translator only for fanmail. I think she only does it when she goes to anime conventions outside Japan.

Hey I thought they taught Japanese in High School over there..thats how sometimes they have english names for titles in animes like Full Moon Wo Sagashite

They do teach, but you would be impressed at how Japanese people suck at English. These languages are so different that they have a hard time learning, and most of them can't go past a few sentences like "How are you?" "Oh, sorry" "Excuse me" etc. I have family there, and they say that practically NOBODY knows English. When they're off to do shopping, it's all about pointing. xd
