I go all the way for Tasuki, but I was close to tears when Nuriko and Chiriko died. I felt so sorry for poor Tasuki! He really liked them both, and cried both times...

Yeah, but you know what, EVERYONE hated Yui as soon as she turned on Miaka, what really shocked me is that she was so easily brainwashed. What kind of freindship is that?! But she realized what she done in the end so that's good. I'd say my favorite character is Nuriko! blaugh GO TRANSVESTITES!! heart hahaha xd

My favorite character is TASUKI, as I have mentioned various times. I LOVE THAT FANG BOY!!! *Chases after Tasuki* COME HERE, MY LOVE!!!

Yea... so I've determined I'm insane. I just ordered Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden, volume four, but you know... the special edition version with the cd. But I had to go through Amazon Japan to do it. It's gonna end up costing me about $20 for the darned thing! The shipping was the bulk of the cost too, go figure o_o But I know it'll be worth it. Though I'm going to be waiting 3-4 weeks for it to get here.

Where did you get them from, Thunder? You should have probably held off on the boxed sets or just got the discs individually unless they dropped in price. A while back, I found out it would have been cheaper to get the eight discs from the regular series individually instead of the boxes. Almost like buying one box and getting the other free.
Anyhow, I kinda like how Tasuki taunts Tamahome. Something kinda cute about it. ^.^

I am glad some people are still talking about the Yui thing, especially since I joined this guild recently and I want to put my own two cents in as well--
When I first got into Fushigi Yuugi, I heard tons of rumors of Miaka's best friend, Yui, being the biggest b***h, the worst friend ever... yadda yadda. So I watched more of the series, and along the way. I began to like Yui. I didn't hold anything against because, when I thought about, if I were in her situation, I would have felt the same way. I would have felt as if my best friend had betrayed me.
And it doesn't help to have some beautiful man telling you that she had betrayed you and convincing you, you were raped. It doesn't help the psyche recover at all. And everyone most remember, when Miaka got back in the book, it had been months there. Yui was stuck with some guy deceiving her for months. When Miaka came for Yui, she really wanted to go with them because Miaka said that she came back for her.
But then Yui heard Miaka say that she came back because she loved Tamahome. That's when all of what Nakago kept telling her actually made her put two and two together. Then... Bingo. She believed she was betrayed.
And of course later on in the series, she realized she didn't love Tamahome at all, and was really just wishing she could go home and be bestfriends with Miaka like the old days, without worrying about everything, but it was already too late.
I really love all the characters, but I just hold a lot of empathy toward Yui. ^^-

Very well said. I'm sure that anyone would act in the same way -or maybe worse- that Yui did. She was actually very nice, I must say.
