When Christine was brought to her room, Erik simply watched over her from behind the mirror like her guardian angel. He watched her chest gently rise and fall, every breath of life precious to him. Something about her brought a wave of warmth over his body; comforting and overwhelming. Love. Love beyond what has been described in stories, books or operas. An unconceivable love that would've brought Erik to his knees had he not had been leaning against the wall. The last thing he wanted to do was hurt her...and the first was to hold her. This wall between them was blinding pain that ran so deep in the Phantom's veins that it only made him love her more. But this wall would have to come down eventually...this wall known as Raoul.

As time passed and it reached approximately 10:00pm, Erik departed and made his way to the stables. After the incident tonight, Christine would go to her father's grave. She was known for going to the cemetery if she had a rather trying day. Not but a moment after he reached the stables, Christine made an appearance. Once again, he was correct to hear her destination. As soon as the coachman departed from her to prepare the carriage, Erik made a quick switch. His rope found the man's neck before another blink. Erik cloaked himself, and directed the carriage over to Christine, who immediately got in and asked for the cemetery.

He decided to wait until they returned to the Opera Populare to have his presence known. She needed some time to collect herself. But when she was finished and comfortable back in her room once more, then it'll be Erik's turn to play his cards.

Christine took a deep breath and sighed. It felt good to be able talk to her father...even if he couldn't hear her. Sometimes it just was easier to tell her problems to someone who couldn't answer her. She collected herself, wiped away her tears, said another small prayer and stood up, walking back twards the gate. When she reached it, the coach was still waiting for her right outside the gate, She had been in the cemetary about a half an hour, and so she figured it was rather late now, considering the ride to the cemetary took about 15 to 20 minutes. She opened the gate and stepped near the driver and courtsied.

"Thank you for taking me monsiuer. I know that its late and interfering with your sleep and I apologize. If you would be so kind as to take me home now, I'm finished here for a while."

She courtsied again, truly sorry for keeping her driver up so late, and one could tell by her voice. She was such an innocent little thing. She always ment what she said and was so worried that she would say or do something that would make someone angry, so she always did her best to be polite as possible.

The driver started the coach again and in a few minutes they were back home, she courtsied and thanked the driver again, apologizing for keeping him up so late, she was truely grateful for someone who would drive her so late to visit a graveyard that she could have easily visited in the morning. She courtsied again and headed back up to her room.

When she reached it, she changed into a creame dress, but kept on her cloak as it was still rather cold, even inside the Opera Populaire. She sat on her bed, thinking, she wouldn't be able to fall asleep for a while after being outside in the cold that long. She really wasn't sure where her feeling laid at the moment. With Raoul her childhood sweetheart, or with Erik, of course she never called him by his real name...Madame Giry had told her so which just added to his mystery which is one thing she loved about him. Course now that she thought about it....there were many things she loved about him...his mystery, how he was able to seduce and calm her with one note of his singing....she sighed again. It almost impossible to have organized thinking this late.

About 10 o'clock, Raoul was pacing his room, wondering how to save Christine from Erik ((does Raoul know Erik's name? ...well, he does now. Oh, and Philippe de Chagny is here, for this scene only, I promise surprised ))

"Really, Raoul, don't you think you're overreacting?" Philippe asked.

Raoul stopped pacing. Was he? "No." he said after a moments pause. "I do not think I'm overreacting, Philippe. This man is dangerous! If not for Madame Giry, I would be dead right now, and why? Because I sat in his box and flirted with someone I thought was single!"

Raoul continued his pacing, pausing only to look in one of the many mirrors in the de Chagny home. He frowned at his reflection. His hair looked dirty and unkept, and circles were forming under his eyes. If it weren't for Christine, he would take a vacation to the countryside.

"She is in danger!" He said, tunring away form the mirror. "If she should disagree with him, he might kill her! Oh, CHristine..." He whispered the last into his hands as he sat down.

Philippe frowned at his little brother. He didn't see what the issue was. One ballet girl was like another, only Raoul's interest had become a prima donna. The fact that she had a psycho killer stalker would make him think Raoul would find another girl.
"You know, Raoul," Philippe said casually. "There are other girls at the Opera house..." his brother stared at him blankly. "you're not bad looking well, you've looked better...my point is, why not let Christine choose which one of you she wants, and you can find another ballet girl!" He beamed at his little brother, proud of his solution.

"Philippe!" Raoul practically shouted. "I can't just abandon Christine! I love her! No, if she's so afraid of him, I shall take her away form him! Surely an Opera Ghost can't leave the opera?"

"A ghost?" Philippe repeated with a frown. Maybe his brother was going crazy...

((I love Philippe's hedonistic character, so I had to put him in. Don't worry, he's gone for good.))

Once Erik and Christine returned to the Opera Populare, and she left his sight, erik made his way back to her bedroom. He appeared once more before the Mirror, viewing her room secretively. Erik was rather disturbed, yet intrigued, to find Raoul and his brother there. They were speaking about Christine and...plotting against him. A thick frown curled about his features and a sinister plan clouded his mind. He put it aside once his eyes laid until Christine once more as she entered her room, yet jealousy slinked through and coiled around his heart. Erik waited silently for his moment alone with Christine to gain her ever innocent heart.

Christine still sat alone in her room on her bed, trying to sort out her feelings and thoughs, when she had the odd feeling that she was being watched. She looked up, first at the door by habbit, then around the room. Her eyes stopped when they reached her mirror. She thought she could vaugly see a shape in it, or behind rather, she focused her eyes harder at the mirror, squinting slightly, and the shape became clearer. It was Erik. She gasped and stood up, taking a step away in the process. She was rather frightened of him now. If Raoul, who had done nothing wrong to Erik as far as Chrstine knew, was almost killed by Erik's hand, what would he do to her if she managed to make him angry somehow.

Her face had paled at the sight of him, but she regained her composure, swallowed and sighed, looking Erik straight in the eye. She would be brave.

"Why did you try and kill him?" Christine asked quietly, almost in a whisper. He would know who she ment.

((Ah, well, we weren't at the Opera house, Aniwan. sweatdrop Well, I guess we can be now. They're in the room next to Christine' room? Yeah. That'll do.))

"I heard a noise, Raoul. Perhaps your ballet rat is back?" He stood up as Raoul perked up at the mention of Christine. "I'll be leaving now. Have fun!"

After Philippe left, Raoul dashed ((I love that word)) to Christine's room and pounded on her door. "Christine!" He shouted. "Christine! Are you all right!?"

Erik's features melted and appeared hurt by her sudden fear of him. The look in her eyes made his knees want to buckle and his heart crack. He stepped forward and opened the Mirror, so he was now fully before her. He remained quiet for a moment before speaking kindly, "I wasn't going to kill him. He needed reminding. I wasn't about to let it slide again." He hoped that she would remember his strict requests concerning Box 5 to be left empty for his use. The Phantom held out his hand to the young woman, hoping that her fear was only from temporary confusion, "...Please, take my hand." He pleaded quietly Raoul's voice suddenly came from behind the door. Erik was relieved that is was locked, seeing as Raoul might've simply barged in like the police. Madame Giry obviously hadn't gotten through to the Victome since he was still here. Erik would have to take care of him later when Christine wasn't around. For now, he was simply worried about gaining her trust once more.

((*runs and slides in* sorry sorry SORRY! I've been literally up to my eyebrows in stuff to do but I'm here now!))

Christine's eyes didn't leave Erik's but she answered Raoul.

"Raoul?...I'm...I'm alright...I just need a bit of time...I won't be coming out tonight."

She was rather skeptical with the whole situation that she was in right now. Raoul is at her door, Erik is standing in front of her wanting to take her somewhere, most likely to his lair, to do heaven knows what, and she's sitting there with a skeptical look on her face rather confused and scared at the moment. But she tried her best to push these thoughts out of her mind and bring herself to take Erik's hand.

For the second time, she timidly reached her hand out tward his and after a moments hesitation, let her hand slide into his. The blissful sensations of being in his presence returned to her after she had done this and she forgot all of her troubles in just that instant.

Erik smiled with a bit of soothing charm. He led his beloved behind the Mirror once more and shut it behind them. Instead of taking her down to his lair once more, Erik's other hand pulled on one of the candleholders, which opened a secret passageway that seemed to travel upwards. Small candles lit the way as the wall enclosed them within the mystical darkness. Somewhere in this darkness laid their secret destination.

Seconds felt like hours in this darkness until time seemed to stop once Erik did. He was standing before another doorway, which appeared to lead outside. The Opera Ghost opened it to a new view of the city Christine had never seen before. They were at the very top of the Opera Populare on a small balcony. It was a clear night and at this height, the stars were far more brilliant. The world seemed so enchanted, so overwhelming.

Erik looked down at his beloved, watching her reaction to this new and profound discovery. His hand continued to hold hers gently, allowing her to pull away from him if she wished to explore. The balcony was large enough to have a small party if needed, or perhaps a small dance if need be. Erik hoped that that would be the case this evening once Christine overcame her amazement.

As Erik pulled one of the candleholders and a new door way opened, Christine looked at him quizzicaly, he just smiled and she continued to walk behind him. They seemed to walk for an age, but Christine knew that it was really only a few minutes, the anticipation was deffening. When they reached the top, and Erik opened the final door, she gaspedcovering her mouth with the hand that wasn't holding Erik's, taking in the spectacle around her, letting it astound her. This was amazing! Their was a little bit of snow ont the ground, but not enough to get in the way of walking.

She left Erik's side for but a moment, and walked cautiously over to the far end of the balcony, leaning her head over the metal railing that caged in the top of the Opera Populaire, and looked over to the side. She simply stared at the city below her, the streetlamps with their candels flickering slightly, the few carriges that still roamed the street even this late at night. She looked up, and the sky was perfectly clear. The moon was full and was so bright, it was almost like day, the stars twinkling merrily behind the moon.

"This is amazing...." Christine breathed, speaking more to herself than anyone imparticula, though she was hardly able to speak at all.

Christine's voice answered his frantic plea after only a moment of hesitation.

Christine
"Raoul?...I'm...I'm alright...I just need a bit of time...I won't be coming out tonight."

He frowned. "Well...okay Christine," He said, not aware that not only was she absent from the room physically, she had blocked out all sights and sounds but Erik. "I'll meet you tomorrow morning, alright?"

No response. Raoul became alarmed. He hurried off down the hall, hoping to find the seemingly omniscient Madame Giry or her daughter...MegMadame Giry seemed to know Christine's stalker, perhaps she could keep his unwanted attentions ((ha!)) away from Christine. And if the mother knew him, maybe the daughter did too.

"Madame Giry? Meg Giry?" He called. "Any member of the Giry family will do!"

((sorry sorry sorry again for lack of posting... not that there seemed to be much for meg to do anyway lol))

Meg heard a frantic yet familiar-sounding voice calling her. She didn't see anyone so she frowned, looked about her, and ran towards it. After what seemed like miles but was probably really only a few yards, she saw a frightened looking, disheveled Vicomte de Chagny.

"Monsieur le Vicomte!" She said, rushing to him. "My god what is it? Is everything all right?" She thought for a moment about what he could possibly need her or her mother for. Her eyes widen with realization. "Is it Christine?"
