the prince shivered at the feeling of the seemstess' breath on his neck, it was his most sensitive spot and the effects of the spell sent him into absolute bliss.
He nodded and smiled even though his heart felt like it was breaking as he forced himself to step away.
"I'll be here tomorrow, at the same time." he said almost pleadingly as he walked towards the castle. "Please say you'll come back."

"I-I will!!" he called breathlessly, his hands raising to clutch at his own chest. He could feel his heart thumping heavily and quickly. There was a lump in his throat and - although they had only just met - he could feel small tears stinging at his eyes.
But he couldn't allow himself to cry while the other was near. Rose petal tears would be enough to prove that he wasn't human. And he didn't want the other to think badly of him. Not ever.

Kai gave him a grateful smile and reluctanly turned away. They had only just met but even now he couldn't bare to be away from the beautiful rose.
He felt like he had fallen under some kind of spell, everything was so hazy, but he didn't regret it in the slightest and his heart lept with joy at the prospect of seeing Rosaline again.
But still he missed her with all his heart and spent that evening pinning for her when he should have been paying attention to his studies.

Rosaline's night was not much different. He had returned home, but it had taken a much longer time than usual. He kept pausing, looking back, occasionally taking a few steps in the direction of the castle. And then, as if suddenly remembering himself, he would hurry on towards his home.
He reached it finally and slumpt down into his chair. He tried several times to continue the making of one of his dresses, but his fingers were clumbsy and he kept fumbling and prickling himself.
At long last, he had to quit and call an early night. He readied himself for bed and then blew out the candle before falling onto his matress. His fingertips raised to brush lightly against his own pink lips and he flushed slightly.
It took him a long time to fall asleep.

He woke early the next morning - even earlier than usual. He didn't bother with breakfast, he merely made sure he looked presentable and then hurried to meet the man from the day before. He didn't even take the time to do his hair and instead let it flow around him in light, slightly wavy ringlets. His hair had always been naturally wavy, bordering curly, but the constant braiding and twisting of his hair had only furthered it. He was much too early and he knew it, but he didn't care.
He hasted to the garden, looking around for the other. He knew he wouldn't be there, but....

Kai sighed as he sat with his head in his hands and slowly pushed the lid of his inkwell around the desk. Today's lesson was the history of his land, which he was usually very interested in, but today he simply could not concentrate on anything, other than his encounter the day before.
He jumped suddenly as a large and dusty tome was violently slammed down on his desk.
"For god's sake boy, pay attention!" he tutor shouted angrily at him.
"I am sorry sir," said Kai a little shakily. He stared out the window for what seened like the thousandth time and caught sight of a familiar figure and his heart lept with joy. "I have not been feeling myself today. I think I might be unwell." he lied.
The wisened old tutor gave him a suspicious frown but nodded anyway. "Well if you are sick enough to miss your favourite subject then there's nothing I can do about it, you are dismissed." he said with a sarcasm that hid his deep fondness for his pupil, but when he turned the boy had already left.

Rosaline's heart was beating wildly as he paced the garden, his slender feet setting his path for him. He finally ended up facing a bench - a small, elaborately carved bench. He sighed and sat down, wondering how long he would have to wait for the other.
An hour? Two hours? ... Five?
They had agreed to meet in the late afternoon, but... but he couldn't wait that long. His entire being was filled with longing - a desire to feel the other's lips again, to be heald... to hear his voice.

Kai dashed down the steps that led into the castle gardens. He regretted lying to his tutor but it was the only way he could think of. He searched the gardens for what felt like hours, looking through endless arches and walls and hedges. Soon he bagan to despair when he couldn't find Rosaline and thought that maybe he had been dreaming when he saw her from his old classroom. At last he arrived at the garden furthest from the castle and finally caught sight of the rose seated upon a bench amongst the dying trees.

Rosaline turned as he heard footfalls and a smile spread onto his perfectly red lips as he saw who it was. He stood up quickly and ran to meet the other.
"I... I thought you wouldn't be here until later," he breathed, almost unable to speak through his own happiness. "I..." He leaned in towards the other, hands reaching forwards to clutch at the fabric of the other's shirt. "I missed you so much."

Kai smiled and held the smaller man close to him in a crushing embrace.
"I saw you outside and I just had to come and see you." he explained in a low whisper. "I missed you too. I didn't know what I'd do without you, yesterday was just too horrible." he mumbled into Rosaline's hair, delighting at how beautiful it was when he wore it down how, like everything else, it smelled of roses.

A soft smile spread across his lips and he leaned forward, pressing his lips softly to the other's neck. "I... I don't think I could stand having to leave you again," he mumbled quietly, his breath coming in short gasps of happiness.
"I... I couldn't sleep last night... I couldn't stop thinking about you..."

The prince held him even tighter and shivered at the thought of being alone again.
"I couldn't sleep either." he whispered. "Please don't leave again. I would never ask for anything more but please stay." he asked, almost pleadingly.

He nodded slowly, a blissful smile on his lips. He... he could stay. He could stay with the other. "Of course. I-I don't want to leave you... not ever...." he murmured quietly, his arms slipping around the other's neck.
How could he ever have been content alone? How could he ever have imagined that being with someone else - that falling in love - would be terrible?

Kai smiled contentedly and sighed into the other's sweetly scented hair. If he could go on feeling his way then nothing else mattered. Not his family nor his health nor his kingdom.
Everything in his life had been leading up to this perfect moment, and he desperately wanted to preserve it forever and memorize each tiny detail.
"And I never want to leave you." he replied "You are the most wonderful woman I've ever been blessed with meeting. I could never leave your side."
