After several days of walking and solitude, the young Earth Bender upon a city, surrounded by mountains. He'd only heard tales of Omashu when he went into nearby towns, but he'd never guessed that it would be so large and elaborate... he shook his head, paying attention to the task at hand. As he drew nearer, he noticed several guards along a narrow bridge into the city. He decided they were more well armed than he, and decided to get in using charisma. Several guards eyed him as he walked towards the city gates. He asked the two guards at the position of the gate :
" As a fellow earth bender, I would like to gain entrance to the city. Would there be any clearance I need to get in order to get into Omashu?" He spoke a little fast, nervous at the numerous sharp objects the guards carried, and his throat was a little dry. The guard gave him a strange look, but allowed him in. He'd have thought Omashu had a stricter system of security. Oh well. He thought.

The time was mid-day. Enoki hadn't found any teacher since the time he arrived, very early in the morning. The sun had only risen an hour previous to his arrival. Thinking about the time he spent searching did nothing but discourage him, so he tried to forget about it. He found a nearby store, and bought himself a jar full of water, and sat out in the street, staring skyward. Maybe he didn't need a teacher. He thought he was capable of learning on his own. With this thought in mind, he continued wandering the streets. His new objective was now not so much as find a teacher, but to teach himself. He felt a little stupid for traveling all the way to Omashu, when he could have stayed home, in the forest.

After an hour's search, he found a strange, almost hopeful looking building. He read the sign over the entrance, which plainly said: 'THE EARTH DOJO' . This place, though simply named, looked like a good place to start learning. He walked into the building. He was almost certain his search was over.

(( C'mon.. I need a teacher...))

Zorin focused ahead of him, a place in the air, five feet away, and kept his eyes locked onto it. This was his opponent, a shadow boxer. From his fighting position, Zorin immediately raised his right hand, pulling a large stone from the ground directly in front of him. He kicked forward with his front leg, sending the stone flying through his imaginary opponent. From there, he stomped his foot back down, causing two more stones to rise in their place. He then picked up his back leg and struck both with a quick roundhouse, sending them flying through the air. This time, instead of dropping his kicking leg, he leapt from his grounded on, twisted himself in the air, and landed with his legs crossed and fists punching the ground. Just like he had practiced, the two pillars rose from the ground at 45 degree angles and collided with each other. However, Zorin wasn't finished.

Zorin snapped his legs out from under him and pulled his arms up so that they were parallel in front of him, bent at the elbows, and fore arms running parallel to his body. A crude wall of stone rose from the ground, making a sufficient shield for Zorin to hide behind. Zorin took a second to breathe deeply before he struck the wall with both fists, a double punch. The wall was sent careening towards his invisible target, digging a shallow trench as it moved.

"Time to finish!" Zorin though to himself. He left his stance and ran after the wall. When he was about three feet behind it, he leapt into the air and prepared himself. He stomped down onto the ground in the stance he had started in, his arms the same position. The stone wall jumped up from the ground for a second and Zorin raised his front arm. Nothing happened. In a panic, Zorin looked down to see that he had landed in a very sloppy stance. Before he could fix it, he heard a loud crash, looked up, and saw the wall had impacted a sand jar. Zorin stood up and put his hand to his forehead. He was about to say something when he noticed somebody was standing at the entrance. Turning suddenly, he saw somebody there.

He paused for a moment.

"Uh..." he said smartly. "Hi..."

(Training 10 *10* Weeha!)

"U-um... would this be the place to learn to... earth bend...?" He said, staring over at the man who apparently was fighting nothing.

Zorin stared at the guy for a second, sizing him up. He then stood up straight and turned to face him. Zorin felt a little woozy and nearly lost his balance. He then decided that he really should train more.

"Well... yeah." He said. "It is... but I'm the only one here right now... as far as I know."

"Mind if I join you?" He asked, wryly. " My bending skills are mediocre, at best." He demonstrated by lifting a fist-sized rock into the air by stomping the ground with his foot.

Seth got out of his defencive position and looked a little releaved that Milo wasn't going to attack right away. Seth said back, "I am weak from any attacks below me as i can not shield myself fully. It is hard to create ice and keep it solid under the ground." Seth moved his hand up a little and froze Milo's feet. Seth smiled,"Shall we continue?"

Zorin tilted his head to the left slightly. He didn't know this person at all, or where they came from, so he was a bit uneasy. Hastily, he shook his head, remembering that he should try to be more sociable.

"Ehh... Sure. I don't mind... but I need to get a bit of rest now... If you need me, I'll be towards the back of the Dojo, sleeping. But, I can't grantee that I'll wake up easily."

At this, Zorin took a short bow to the person before walking away. In the back room, he found a bit of empty floor that would make as a good bed. Slowly, he lay down, exhaled deeply, and went to sleep.

(EDIT: gave wrong date.. anyway, I'm back now.)

'I guess I better get started then.' He thought to himself. He sat in a lotus stance, putting his hands together in meditation. ' The key to earth bending... what is it, and why do I have this gift...?' His mind was swirling with questions. He tried to focus primarily on lifting the earth into the air, like he'd demonstrated to the kid at the dojo, only in more massive quantities. He sat, thinking for a few more minutes. Physical force obviously didn't do alot more to help him lift earth, so it must've been something else entirely. ' I guess there's someone to ask or something to read...' He said, inside his mind. ' Surely the earth dojo has something I can use...' He walked inside, and found a shelf of scrolls. After five minutes searching, he came upon a starter earth bender's scroll. He sat down and began to indulge himself with the teachings.

An hour had gone by, and the most he'd gained from the scroll was a basic stance, and a deep breathing exercise. It wasn't too much to work with, but he coped and took a stance, one leg forward, one leg back, one arm arcing up, the other doing the opposite. He closed his eyes, concentrating. A pale blue light emitted from his arm. ' Feel the energies coursing through your body...' He thought, quoting the scroll. His eyes flicked open. He spun around the arm behind him in a wheeling motion, sending it groundward. A large cloud of dust was produced, obscuring Enoki. When the dust had cleared, he was left with nothing but a bleeding fist. "O-owww...." he said, feeling a little discouraged. 'I must be something I didn't see...' He thought, and went back to the earth scroll, reading again.

Training, 1 of 2.

He read through the scroll a second time, but found nothing wrong with what he was doing. He closed it up, and took it out of the sun. ' What was I doing wrong?' He silently asked himself. 'Back to the drawing board...' He thought, taking another meditative stance. 'What is it I was doing wrong?' He thought again. ' Maybe I didn't focus enough energies...' He got up, taking the same stance. He closed his eyes again. ' What is it I've truly wanted in this life? Power, fame, honor... what??' Questions were racing through his mind at high speed.

' A loved one....?' His thoughts flashed to his mother, the only one ever to care for him. The only thing he remembered was her face. 'That's it. I know what I want.' His arm glowed brightly, attracting the attention of some passerby. 'I must find out...' He began to think, 'What happened to my mother!' His eyes opened, Revealing a shocking blue glow. He wheeled his arm around again. It hit the ground with a tremendous impact, sending a large, cart-sized boulder flying. It landed with a loud thud, causing the earth to tremble slightly. " Wow." Was his only word. He'd finally found a way to lift the earth, but he didn't think he'd do something like that for a while. He fell backwards, smiling at his feat.

Training, 2 of 2.

The giant boulder lay at rest inside the dojo. Enoki sat down, reading through another scroll. Both of his shoes were off, something he'd read in one of the scrolls. It supposedly helped sense attacks, or so read the scroll. He continued his read, and was upset to find that to achieve a higher level of bending, he'd need to learn the horse stance. Deciding that another scroll wouldn't help as much as being taught by a real person, he decided he'd leave for an even bigger city. Ba sing se, the impenetrable city. After much thought, calculating the benefits against the misfortunes, he was he'd be able to go to Ba sing se, and sure he'd find a teacher.

Exit: Omashu. Enter: Ba sing se.

As Zorin began to fall into a dark and undisturbed rest, he could hear the sounds of training from outside. He simply rolled over and tried not to listen. Soon, he lost all sense of time.

When he woke up, there were no sounds. He raised his head up to get in a better position to see, but as far as he could tell, he was the only one left in the Dojo. Taking a deep sigh, he stood up and brushed the dust off of his clothes.

"Time to wander some more." he said to himself. From there, he proceeded to the city entrance, down the ramp, and to wherever his feet took him.

Exit: Omashu. Enter: Ba Sing Sey

it had been only after the last battle in the tournament that had taken place that, Daniel met jin. while not on the battle feild the two of them talked and found they they shared ome of the smae interests. only afterwards did they become freinds. Jin had travled with Daneil back to omashu, where the both of them would stay for awhile to train and better themselves. in the begining neither of them really cared about their bending skills, however soon they decided that it was important enough for them to enhance their skills enough that if they were ever in a tournament again they might end up wining, or at least getting to the point at which they would be pitted against each other.

"hey dainel i hope you are up for a crash course in firebending technique cause i am still learning it myself. and i don't really have a master to teach me, i have been studying more skilled people and laernming from them but i haven't quite got all the moves down pact yet." said jin as he got in his tiger stance. Daneil of course got in his horse stance replying "well i learned some moves from a mastewr however i myself still need training so this will be an interesting training battle." Jin merly nodsded and they both stood motionless as if stareing each other down.
