Exactly, there are a lot of reasons as to why the whole fake pregnancy wasn't what they planned in the beginning. At least it didn't look like it. stare There is no consistency here.

Yeah I think that they were originally going to have the baby be born if you ask me... It would have been an easy way to get rid of Lana, dying during Child birth. It would have made more sense then a blown up car... Can you say cliche and overused? They so need to think of a new way to kill her...

I don't think they planned anything for it. I think they thought it would be a cool way of introducing more angst into the Clark/Lana/Lex dynamic and thought they'd decide whether it was a real pregnancy, meteor freak, etc. later on. That's why the whole storyline was so disjointed and didn't make a lot of sense.

I originally thought it would be a meteor freak or something like that. Not a fake pregnancy, that was about the last thing.

That and ending the Lexana relationshp. I was so upset when they did that. I am still upset about that.

Kids just don't work on smallville. Exploding baby, fake pregnancy, girl who controls glass, mexican immigrant kid... They just don't work!

On other shows, babies don't work. On Smallville, they are explosions of awfulness.... literally.

in my opinion, ending lexana was the best thing they ever did...geeze i was wondering how long the torture would continue gonk
if they make chloe get pregnant, i'll throw a fit D< but rest assured, they wont pull the same stunt twice...hopefully? Dx

The baby in Lost works ok, and it did work in Angel. Although, that didn't last.I also think it would work in a crime drama.
