I watched "Gerry" yesterday. The cinematography was pretty amazing... I was tired when I watched it though and I fell asleep during one of the last scenes. It was kinda a slow scene...

My housemate had to tell me what happened after I woke up just at the very end of the film. :/

gonk

There was a thread about lactating in GD! That has to contravene several of the TOS xp

Have you seen Gozu? Miike explores it in that too, some sort of fixation.

Warped film is Q 3nodding I found it fascinating in pretty much the same way as a car crash, But wanted to see how it concluded despite myself.

I have seen Gozu yes... bizarre film. Not as disturbing as Visitor Q... I think possibly because it's more unrealistic.

I laughed a lot in visitor Q... at first it was that sort of involuntary horrified laughter... then after a certain point I became immune to anything else he could possibly do with the film and started to actually find it funny.

Gozu is more in the vein of Full Metal Yakuza I think. But even that broad slapstick film had little out of context twists (read horrific gang rape scene)

AndyZ's objective review.

The new Star Wars film was so good not one person in the audience booed when Jar Jar Binks came on screen.

*attempts to grow a couple more arms for some 4 lighsaber action.

When did you see it?
I saw it at 12.35am... sweatdrop
It is the best of 1,2 & 3 by a long way but it's still nothing on the originals.

Same time, well the ticket stubb says 1:31am

No film is likely to match my memories of the originals, they were part of me growing up. But I liked episode III more than I was expecting to (kind of the opossite of episode I).

The Film or the Anime?

The Film is good, the anime won't make much sense without having seen the film (which is odd considering it's a prequel).

Messy & exceeding violent, but it's so over the top it often becomes comical.

Typical Miike really (which is a good thing in my book)

Edit: crap, I edited instead of quoting and lost this post somehow. It was basically me saying I'd hardly call what I do studying because my course is really a fairly technical but also artistic vocational course and is just pretending to be academic so that it can gain respect from computer sciencey types. I leave the studying parts until a couple of weeks before the exams. xp

I also said that I didn't intend to see episode III.
