Shannon had been standing at the opening of the cave, listening to the convesation outside. Finally after deciding it was the right time to say something, since her anger was just bioling up. Shannon stepped outside, straightening her denim skirt. "You.." She said coldly, pointing to Locke. Shannon marched over. "You had better tell the truth about what happened." She demanded, her eyes burning with a hate. Letting out all this anger from the day was making her feel a little better.

Hearing the voices getting louder, Boone looked towards the entrence and saw everybody with Locke. He frowned abit as he tried to hear what they werre saying.

Jack was startled by Shannon's sudden appearance. He watched the girl close in on Locke and begin to vent her anger. Jack stepped over to Shannon and put his hand on her shoulder. She turned to face him.
"Shannon, please. I've got this. You should be with Boone, he needs you right now. Go and sit with him and call me if you need anything. I know you're upset right now but this isn't helping you," Jack said softly to the woman.
He gave her shouder a reassuring squeeze as he steered her back towards the cave. Shannon protested for a minute but soon gave in. Once she was back inside with her brother, Jack turned on Locke again.
"Answer me damn it! You can't just sit by and watch as Boone suffers! If you really care then you'll cut all of this 'the island has a plan for all of us' crap and you'll tell me exactly what happened. The island is inanimate, John, it can't have a God damned plan for anyone! I'm going to ask you one more time. What the hell happened out there?" Jack shouted furiously.
He watched Locke for a sign, any sign at all, of compassion as he waited for the older man to answer.

Shannon sat down hard on a row of plane seats. She sighed loudly as she pushed the platnum hair away from her face. "This sucks.." She mumbled under her breath as she folded her arms over her stomach. "s**t, I have to talk to Jack.." She jumped up and ran outside. "Hey Jack, I need to talk to you..Now would be nice.." She insisted raising an eyebrow. She was gonna find out for real now. Shannon prayed silently that she wasnt pregnant as she waited for Jack.
((Shannon is pregnant though...Mwhahaha!))

Jack decided he wasn't getting through to Locke. No matter, it would be just that much more difficult to help Boone recover. Suddenly, Jack heard a voice calling him from the caves. It was Shannon. She sounded something like a cross between annoyed and urgent. Jack shook his head and glared at Locke one more time before heading inside. He walked over to where Shannon stood and spoke.
"What is it?" Jack asked concernedly.
He scrutinized Shannon as she looked for the words...

As Shannon searched for the right words she pulled Jack over farther to the side, making it posistive that nobody could hear her. "I..I.." She stuttered for a few minutes, shufflinh her feet. "I think I might be pregnant.." Shannon explained quickly, biting her nails.

Boone sighed when Shannon and Jack moved further away from him. Now he couldn't hear anything.
"Whatever.."
He thought as he rested his head back and closed his eyes.

Jack had realized as much. He wasn't sure he could go through it again. However, for the moment he had to be strong, for Shannon's sake. He looked at her worriedly as he spoke.
"What kinds of symptoms have you been experiencing?" Jack asked.
He waited for Shannon's answer, mentally running through the procedure of all things prenatal he remembered from med school. This was definitely going to test him; mind, body and soul. Jack hoped he could do everything in his power for Shannon throughout the whole ordeal.

"Just sick in the morning and at night. " Shannon sighed, crossing her arms over her chest. "Fatigue and I've had to use the bathroom alot.." She never felt comfortable with doctors.

((hmm. couldn't post for a minute there... heh..))
Jack could see the telltale signs of discomfort as Shannon shifted her weight from foot to foot. It was part and parcel of the job. He tried his best to make Shannon comfortable as he spoke.
"That's all normal for the first trimester. The morning sickness will get worse before it gets better. I know it sounds terrible, but I'm sure Sun will have something in her garden for the nausea. The fatigue will pass with time. You'll have to build up a larger supply of red blood cells. The fetus is taking oxygen from your blood to breathe, so you'll feel tired and dizzy for a couple of weeks until your blood count rises. The growing fetus is also putting pressure on your bladder. That, unfortunately, will be with you until you've had the baby. You seem in fine health, but just to be safe I think it would be best if I briefly examined you. Nothing big, just checking your vitals and a few other things, like a basic physical," Jack suggested.
He looked over at Shannon as he waited for her to answer.

A few tears slipped down Shannons face as she listened to Jack. She nodded as he spoke. "Fine, when do you want to do the exam thingy?" She asked quietly, looking down.
