[Cell 7] It had taken the length of time for Robert to get three chains in his hand, holding them sturdily like a leash, before Lucky had even managed to release the one he'd been working on. This may have had to do with the fact that Lucky was just ******** with him the whole time, tugging on the chain and making Robert's life harder. He trudged over to Lucky, grabbed the chain out of his hand, knocked him over the head with it, and took over control of all four of them. "Mimsy, baby, I know you love your brother and all, but I gotta tell you, if we gotta feed someone to the zombies, I'm throwing him in." He was dead serious. 4/4

CELL 1Candace couldn't help it, she tried not to laugh but she couldn't hold it in. That was funny. "Gee, thanks!" She snorted. She stayed back while Rep worked on the first chain, summoning Atropos to have her ready just in case. The infected woman coughed blood on Rep's shirt and she pointed at him, laughing while she freed up another chain. Karmic retribution was a b***h, the damn woman snapped at her and nearly bit her hand. Candace jumped back, eyes narrowed and hands far, far from the infected woman. "I deserved that."Quote: 2) You remove one of the four chains and the infected lunges towards you, snapping their teeth at you. They have lost all coherence and continue to salivate

Rep was in no mood to get infected with s**t all over again, he'd had to contend with those nightmare crystals before and was just no ******** mood to become a mindless brain seeking zombie.
<> Tracey asked <is this infection?>>
He wasn't sure he wanted to know.
She sure was fiesty though, reminded him of some ******** whores he'd had to deal with before. He knew how to handle it, as he freed the second chain he gave it a brutal yank as well. "If this b***h gives us s**t I am going to ******** string her up with these ******** chains, they can incinerate it after."

Lex didn't have to remind her that he, unlike Ami, still had a bit of warmth in his heart and compassion for living things. This, however, was not compassion. This emotion that he felt towards the patient was an odd mix of sympathy and disgust. They were better off dead, in his books.
"Just let me end its existence."

CELL 1"That'll be a sight. This would be a lot easier if she was unconscious, I think." With the infected woman distracted by Rep she took that chance to take care of the next chain. The salivating woman turned then, coughing all over her coat just as she had with Rep. "Son of a b***h!"Quote: 3) You remove one of the four chains and the infected coughs, spitting blood all over you. Hopefully you didn't get any in your mouth....

[ Room C ] - Ami, Lex
Still occupied with her glaive, the victim now began to convulse. Perhaps the cold was taking its toll? But then, the cold was supposed to render the patient motionless, not increase motion. Adverse side effects then.
Not that Ami cared. She tugged her jacket a bit tighter, the cold of the room starting to set in. She shook her head at Lex. That wasn't the protocol. "V-Victim is now convulsing. Further indicative of a cerebral disease, due to loss of motor neural control."

Room A When Finn first entered the room, his main priority was finding a wet cloth that he could wipe himself off with. His gloves, remarkably, had remained clean at least, and these were pulled off and pocketed for now as he had a glance around. Chel's voice startled him, having not seen her there this entire time as she somehow managed to stay on his blind side throughout the process of decontaminating the infected patient. He turned around, leveling a gaze on her, a reply ready on his tongue, though it was one that changed drastically when Ripley muttered a dead panned "What?" at the pink haired woman. "About when your mom rose her prices. The ******** slut." Finn said instead of what he'd originally intended to, brown eye narrowing. "Hey, why don't you make yourself useful for a minute and find me something to clean up with?" Apparently no unwanted hugs or sloppy kisses on the cheek to give today, though Chel should have also been used to his more dickish side by now.

[ Cell 9 ]Harland x Alistaire.]]
Harland had only just finished saying he wondered when something would happen, and he’d eat his words for it. No, it wasn’t a large sand creature. Instead, it was a viral outbreak they were trying to circumvent-- and they could suffer for it. Harland felt that his coffee did taste disgusting now, but it was perhaps quite attributable to the fear he felt in his gut. He glanced at Alistaire, trying not to let the concern cloud his features. "Guess ye were right again, mo chroi," Harland said, with a half smile.
As the hunters in charge gave them instructions and information, Harland used his crude shorthand to jot them down on his sketch pad. He didn’t really need it. It just made him feel better. He tucked it into his back pocket, and found somewhere to toss his coffee, before they made it into the very old building.
The flickering monitors didn’t make him feel better. Assuming he’d stay by Alistaire, the often chatty hunter reverted to his normal self; around Alistaire, he was often incredibly talkative. Around anyone else, and quiet silences were very normal for him. He was focused.
He didn’t want to risk their wellbeing. "Now if only I’d thought up viral outbreak in my five minutes, an’ then I’d have six minutes an’ we’d’ve rehearsed this," Harland finally joked, as he made his way towards cell nine.
"If ye don’t mind, mo chroi, I think I’ll check the patient first," he said. Almost as a precaution, Harland summoned Coyote. He used his metal gauntlet to begin to work at the patient’s chains. He unravelled one, and as he did, the creature kept saying the word eat over and over again. Harland didn't react. His broad frame was steadfast as he slowly and carefully unwound the first of four chains.Claimed Rooms as of this post 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 22, 24, 25.]]

[ Room C ] - Ami, Lex
Lex pulled the restraints once the convulsions began, ghost of an aghast look passing over his face. This thing...person, patient, victim, whatever. He'd seen this in movies and TV shows. The man kept his distance, but also had the pistol trained on the back of the man's skull at all times.
"Possible cerebral hemorrhaging?" He suggested, remembering the phrase from a few texts he'd read in his first month.

Harrison watched while Rep and Candace played in the zombie sprinkler. He was glad at least that Rep had goggles.
"Keep your mouths closed," he advised. Which was maybe the hardest set of instructions ever for this particular pair of people.
He took up one of the chains, still listening to the headset. The next room was <******** cold, but not colder than being underwater in the Antarctic so it had that going for it.
"Okay," Harrison said. "Guess we're supposed to wait here until...something happens."
He gave the wriggling, gushing lady a long look. She started vibrating.
Quote: Next the navigation guide will listen for instructions. Once the chains are secured, the whole team, holding the chains for security, will move the patient to room C. At room C, there is a quarantine check. They must stay in the room until the patient slows down. They need to roll 1d4 and check to see how bad the patient is, reporting to the camera. The temperature in this room is very, very cold. Keep on rolling until you get the 4. If you have to roll more than 5 times, you can just auto skip to the next part. Roll 1d4 until the patient is subdued. 1) The patient is not subdued and talks about a great hunger. They try very hard to gnaw at their own arms. 2) The patient is not subdued and begins to convulse. 3) The patient is not subdued, there is something wrong with their eyes, which are a sickly green. 4) The patient is subdued, their movements have slowed down. It is time for them to move to quarantine.

The patient finally slowed, and had now collapsed upon itself on the ground. "Possibly," she responded to Lex, "Though unlikely due to the altered color of the eyes." Sensory organs generally didn't change pigments during a stroke.
It was unimportant now. "Subject has been subdued," she told the camera, "Moving to secondary quarantine now."

Harlow arched her brows at the other girl for a moment, she then looked back at Zascha. Who was going to be the other handler was a good question. "I'll be the other handler for now." She commented with a shrug, she followed closely behind Zascha, she followed suit in pulling her scarf mover most of her face. She hated how hot it would get some times however it wasn't that bad in situations like this.
Her face turned a little more grim as she looked at the creature. She nodded after Zascha removed two of the chains. As she started to wrap it around her wrist so that she could hold it firmly, she heard a snap and she looked up, the creature moved toward her the foam from it's mouth making her step back. "Some one might want to get that checked out."[[I'll be the other Handler just to keep moving. :3]]

He wished he'd tied his hair up out of his face, he wished he'd shaved more recently, and he sincerely wished he was wearing better equipment for this. Still, Coyote reassured him mentally.
☆≼There are worse things in life than the terminally ill,≽ and he sounded almost cheerful as he said it.
Harland didn't even have a reply. He was too focused. And grateful that he could keep Coyote between himself and the creature. Have I ever told you that I love you? Harland asked, mentally.
☆≼Do go on, desperate Cowboy. Tell me about how my eyes sparkle in the sunlight.≽ Coyote teased him.
Harland thought about all the compliments he'd give him, if they got out of this alright. The patient just kept saying the word eat. Harland had started off unnerved, but he found the little mental castle in which he kept all his memories, and he went over anatomy. Everything he knew.
It wasn't enough.

Stormy seemed to shrink under Tuck's curt look and was glad she only had to look at his back afterwards. Safe. That was all that mattered right now. He needed to be safe long enough to yell at her, because she was no warrior; a cold war would be lost hard and shamefully fast.
"Two days ago, I think," she replied after a moment of mental math. "I slept through most of it." Gale had been rudely awoken in the middle of the night because she had accidentally slapped his arm upon falling on the bed and knocked out almost instantly.
She tore her gaze off Tuck and fixed Evan with a steady look. "M'okay. And I'm doing that right now," Stormy said slowly and patiently, as if he had missed the memo. "I'm talking to you and cuddling with my boyfriend until our next orders." Not freaking out, not shutting down, not crying. Frankly, this was a huge step forward.
(And all it took was not thinking about anything.)
"We'll probably have to figure it out on the go," she said, leaning her head against Gale's. "If we don't get a huge speech telling us about it before we're thrown out. But that's okay." She had a shadow of a smile. "We'll survive sticking together. I mean, Gale has a gun: that alone's great against any stray zombies."

The patient was subdued, and they needed to move on to the next step. Lex sincerely hoped that whatever it was that they'd be doing to the patient would help him, and quickly began to tether the chains to the floor.
"Patient tethered." He nodded to Ami, walking up to her and touching her on the shoulder. "Can we finish this quickly?"
