Hideyuki couldn't believe his eyes as he too began to realize Inves-infested, abandoned city implied. Were these once people? Did Helheim have something to do with it? Would the same thing happen to them and their world? All these questions and more began to echo what he thought Hiyori was thinking as well.

"I've had it!" Hideyuki suddenly heard Hiyori exclaim, breaking him out of his train of thought. "Nothing we do is making an impact. We're no closer to figuring out what Yggdrasil is up to... And now I can see that everything we do will just lead to…this."

Before he could respond however, Hiyori had already removed her Driver and loosely dangled it above the pit below in silent defeat. "The hell are you doing?!" Hideyuki exclaimed himself as he rushed over to Hiyori's side, grabbing his partner's arm in such as way to keep her from dropping the device immediately.

"That's not true. We're closer than we were before!" He said as passionately as he could. "We have more information, we have more allies, and sooner or later we'll get to the bottom of just whatever the hell is going on!"

"This isn't like you Hiyori," he said a bit more softly now, his tone obviously trying comfort her while trying to get her to tell him more of what was going on. "It's too soon to give up now."

"Damnit!" Ryou yelled as he first saw then heard the Professor run towards Kizoku in a rage. He rushed past his Knuckle Trooper guards while slapping on his Sengoku Driver and Mango Lockseed in one quick motion. |Mango|



In action hero-like fashion, Ryou managed at the last second to block Yuusuke's attack from connecting with his Mango Punisher. Sparks flew as the two weapons collided. The impact was tremendous. Not since he had gained his powers had Ryou felt such raw power from another Armored Rider and it honestly scared him. "I said enough." Ryou said flatly. He wasn't actually sure how much of a match he'd be against a new Genesis Driver, but he hoped Yuusuke would stand down before he could find out.

Kenzaki Hiyori

The Driver almost slipped from her grasp, stopped only by Hideyuki's sudden grasp on her arm. She struggled to break free from his grasp, but the poisons flowing through her body made her efforts futile.

As the man tried to calm her down, tears were already dripping from her face.

It's too soon to give up now

"I have to." She replied, sobbing. "My parents haven't even been dead a year, and I'm out risking my life when I'm supposed to be taking care of my sister. Instead, I've almost died on several occasions - my back is scarred, there's poison flowing through my body, and we have no way of getting out of here. It's all my fault and I've dragged so many people into this war, incuding Momo. What kind of person does that to their sister?"

Yuuske was surprised as Ryou blocked his blow with the Mango Punisher. Yuuske couldn't help but laugh at the idea of Ryou trying to stand against him. "Your are a bigger fool then I thought Ryou." Yuuske pushed one of the Kagematsu aimed on him away and backed up. Yuuske looked to Kizoku as he said they where all on the same team. "That's a pretty good joke Kizoku. That one was almost funny." He said with a growl before he turned Ryou. "Remember what you did here Ryou. When he sneaks up behined you and you have a sword sticking through your abdomen, don't even think of asking me for help." He said before he turned around and pushed past the troopers. This little confrontation had actually helped the professor. Helped him see how foolish Ryou really was.

Not only had Kizoku somehow convinced Geki to become a Armored Rider, he also apparently trained him how to fight in just two days. Then he went up against four Armored Riders with just the two of them and managed to pull Gaim and Zangetsu into forest. That wasn't the worst part, he had manged to pull them into a part of the forest whose portal location was quite the distance away from where they where fighting. This bothered Sengoku the most since that meant Kizoku had some kind of power over them. The professor looked up from his deep thoughts as he spotted Inoue. "I want you to keep an eye on the trickster, record everything he does and report it back to me. I won't have anybody jeopardizing my research." He whispered to her before he headed back to his lab.

Inoue watched as the Professor's vitals spiked. Whatever was going on in the forest, it had caused the man's heart to race. "The Professor is angry." She mumbled to herself in amusement.

Minutes later, she watched Sengoku storm through the crack.

"I want you to keep an eye on the trickster, record everything he does and report it back to me. I won't have anybody jeopardizing my research."

"Kizoku, the Lock Dealer?" She asked, laughing at the prospect that such a little worm like Kizoku Kodomo could possibly rile up Yuuske Sengoku. Never the less, she was paid to follow orders - not ask questions.

"Yes, Professor Sengoku." She replied, bowing her head in compliance.

Hideyuki silently looked on as Hiyori considered his words before he watched her pick her Sengoku Driver and strap it on her waist. Hideyuki breathed a noticeable sigh of relief. He was glad Hiyori had chosen to not surrender to her own doubt fear. With any luck, they just might be able to win this war.

"Let's go. We still have to find a portal. And Hideyuki…Thank you." Hiyori said after a few minutes of walking, pleasantly surprising Hideyuki. He was glad that his friend and ally was back to her senses. Which was good because he was close to having a mental breakdown if he wasn't careful himself from all the excitement.

"You're welcome. You'd do the same thing. Now let's get the hell out of the here. And…sorry for the punch by the way." He said slightly embarrassed about his actions. "With any luck, somebody is bound to find us right?"

"Remember what you did here Ryou. When he sneaks up behined you and you have a sword sticking through your abdomen, don't even think of asking me for help." The Genesis Driver wearing Professor warned.

Ryou at first remained silent at Yuuske's mention that he was a fool. He wasn't looking for a confrontation, especially not in the Professor's current state of mind. "We'll see." He said simply once the New Generation Armored Rider had pushed his way past the nervous Knuckle Troopers. He turned his attention back to Kizoku.

"Keep an eye on both of them," Ryou commanded to one of the nearby Troopers in intentionally full earshot of the Trickster. "Make sure they don't do anything stupid. Relieve them of their Drivers if you have to. I'm going after the subjects."

He closed his Mango Lockseed and cancelled his transformation once everyone was a safe distance from each other. He looked down at the two stolen Lock Vehicles that Kizoku had stolen from Gaim and Zangetsu. "All of this just for some sick lesson?" Ryou thought to himself. He had avoided armageddon at Yggdrasil, but for how long?

"Sengoku was right about one thing though. I have to be careful from here on out." He said aloud to himself before he pocketed the stolen Lock Vehicles away and carefully headed alone in the direction of the Inves Nest…

Kenzaki Hiyori

Armored Rider Gaim


Hiyori smiled wearily, taking a few steps down the path. That's when it hit her. The intense burning she was trying so hard to hold back flooded through her body, causing her to fall to her knees. Her skin turn a sickening shade of green.

Kizoku's poison was back to work, boiling her blood. "We have to go...now!" She grunted in a futile attempt to get back to her feet.

Inoue made her way out of the labratory, frantically typing away at her tablet as she tried to rearrange her schedule. Keeping tabs on The Lock Dealer was going to take up a lot of time. However, since it was the Professor who gave her the order, she saw no reason why she couldn't clear her lab duties from the calendar. She hated that anyway.

Her attention was grabbed as a group of security guards rushed down the hall way. "What on Earth?" She sighed. If it wasn't one thing today, it was another.

Her high heels echoed through the hallways as she made her way to the main lobby of Yggdrasil Tower, just in time to see Koji making a scene. She recognized the boy from Yggdrasil's files - one of the dance team leaders that acquired a Sengoku Driver.

"Boy, you are not permitted to be here." She declared, walking towards the Beat Rider.

She almost gasped, stopping in her tracks once she saw what Koji was carrying. Another boy, wrapped up in Helheim vines. She immediately turned to the closest security guard. "Get a quarantine team in here - NOW!" She ordered.

Within seconds, three Yggdrasil Troopers had arrived, followed by two men dressed head-to-toe in white hazmat suits. Without a word, they took Geki from Koji's arms and disappeared down the hallway. She began typing on her tablet again, sending a text message to Professor Sengoku

Tsumi Geki acquired. Quarantined.

"You." She snapped, pointing at Koji. "Come with me."
