Shakuntala cast her eyes out to the canal upon hearing high-pitched mewls for help. Her heart sunk when she noticed a basket of kittens being taken by the current of the canal. Using her wits, she crafted a hook of sorts from broken debris and tossed it out to the basket via a loose rope. Snagging the handle, she hauled them in. Many of them, shivering, escaped from fear. Only one stayed behind and seemed to warm up to Shakuntala. Before she knew it, she had a pet.

Lenore threw the rope, and it reached the target perfectly. Mouse Girl grabbed onto the rope, and all Lenore had to do was... pull her in. Being as weak as she was.
Perhaps she hadn't thought this through as well as she had thought.

He didn't even see Danny before something large and painful was hitting him in the shoulder. He winced but managed to clamber on top of the barrel, sort of riding it. "Uh. Thanks." Another piece of wood sailed past him a moment later and he looked up towards dry ground with a pit of horror. He was going to be killed before he was saved. He watched Danny disappear, and nearly as quickly Shun appeared.
"Oh thank god," he sighed, reaching out for the rope and wrapping it around his arm for the best grip. "I'm good, pull me up!"

Farvardin was suddenly hugged and looked at the girl she had tried to save. "No problem." She said blushing slightly. She gave Alec a nod and looked around. Apparently saving those in the canal wasn't her forte. She then saw a girl get hit by a horse. She quickly rushed over to help. She grabbed the girl and dragged her off to the side, out of the way of the chaos. Astro Zombies` Lemme save you!....hopefully. Pulled you to a safe area.

Lenore tugged with all her might, but all she managed to do was drag Mouse Girl across the side of the canal. That probably stung.

Nodding once, Shun began to pull Rikki towards the edge. Hopefully the guy will be able to climb on out from there on his own.

Lenore continued to pull, but all she managed to do was to continue scraping Mouse Girl along the edge of the canal.

Lenore pulled harder, and Mouse Girl got closer before dropping back into the water.

Sure enough, Rikki managed enough strength to hoist himself over the ledge and onto land. He immediately rolled onto his back and laid there for a moment, looking very wet and very unhappy.

Lenore pulled again, succeeding only in pulling Mouse Girl into the wall. Again.
((If not for the threes I've rolled, I think Lenore would have killed Mouse Girl by now. >.>))

Lenore grit her teeth as she pulled even harder. Mouse Girl lifted out of the water, then was dragged along the wall as Lenore backed up. After a while of back and forth tugging on the rope, Lenore managed to get the girl out of the canal.

Day 5
Who was he kidding, of course things wouldn't remain peaceful. When did it ever?!
As such, although Elliot looked concerned as chaos broke out, he did not by any means look surprised. Instead, he simply cast Preacher and Farvardin a quick frown before hurrying forward, intending on pulling people out of the way and hopefully into a spot that was slightly safer.
...Except with all the loud shouting that was going on and all the frantic running and flailing, Elliot failed to notice the horse running his way until the creature slammed into him, sending him staggering backwards and falling straight into the water.
Nice.
