A part of him was certain that he'd been going in the right direction, as directed by the THERE sign. The third he'd passed in a row. But still, he was honestly hoping it wouldn't take him back to...
HERE.
He sneered at the sign, as though it was the lowest of the lowest scum of the earth or.. er, world? He was in. But he followed it, his hopes for escape dwindling with each step.

From HERE... to another THERE sign. This time he was sure it was the same one as last time. Or.. was it? The tree next to it, he noted, was a little more crooked and leaning toward its left side. Kiin observed the tree and committed it to memory, hoping the next time he blundered down the path a THERE sign led him down, he wouldn't wind up back in front of it or that even more damned HERE sign.
"All while wearing this stupid hat..." he muttered, but walked on.

From THERE he walked, and walked... and finally!
The UP ANYWHERE sign couldn't have been any more of a god-sent sign when his red eyes finally read and re-read to make sure his maze-screwed brain wasn't just messing with him. He could have kissed it! ...
But he didn't, because that would call for very overt signs of emotions and things that he was even less in the mood for than usual.

The sign said UP ANYWHERE but he was pretty sure he was walking in a straight line. Or.. as straight a line as the path was drawn. He was just following it, after all. And last he checked he wasn't "up anywhere" like the sign said... but he was just happy not to have spotted another HERE or THERE sign. He would probably have thrown some kind of a small fit in his head, manifesting in the mere narrowing of his eyes. Ah, what he wouldn't give for the usual day-to-day problems that made him narrow his eyes. Hellish mazes, not at the top of his favorite things to do to drive himself up the wall.
Eventually he came upon a sign that, he felt, screwed him up even more. EVERYWHERE, it said, and he groaned. Again.
What the heck was that supposed to mean?

You are here.Interesting. She wondered if this sign might actually talk to her like the last one did, and tell her more about what she was supposed to do next. It was pointing in a direction, though. Maybe that was all the instruction she really needed. Shrugging her shoulders, she had a glance around, and decided she really didn't have anything better to do. And away she went. She came upon another sign, this one pointing back the way she had come. That....couldn't be right, could it? And it said she was there. Here, now there. Well, it made perfect sense, really, she supposed, but now to get where she needed to be.
......Wherever that was.
She continued on.

Another sign. Up anywhere? Well, that just didn't make any sense. It might have made sense, if she could still fly, but grounded as she was.....
Where to go next? Hands had found there way to her hips.
Wandering back the way she came had worked once before . Maybe she should just go back again....

Meandering around the woods, he smiled to himself as he came to a sign that said "You are Here". Hmm... Maybe he could continue along this path a bit longer? HH thought it mght be interesting.

Up anywhere.Of course, she still had no idea what that meant. She looked up. She walked whole looking up. She stopped when she came to a large tree, and looked down. Everywhere. Was this the end? Okay. He was close to beating this place. He KNEW it. So going from the Up Anywhere sign, he did not expect to go back to the Here sign. A re... Are you... Growling, he kicked the sign and sighed.
