"Yes?" He responded as he heard her drifting up the stairs. He was putting on a shirt at the moment, and noticed when he woke up that Pale had dissapeared to answer the door. He arose from bed and gave a soft yawn. It felt as if he'd slept for days. "How's the child?" he asked.

"Kicking like mad, but at least the morning sickness stage is supposed to have stopped." she hugged him then looked around "Let's get some food. I can't have the kid feeding off ki all the time...besdies, I'm hungry love."

"Want to go out or want me to make you something?" He asked with a smile as he hugged her as well. He remembered the last time they made breakfast...it was pretty fun to say the least.

"Go out?" she looked at him with bug eyes. "We've never been on a date before." she said softly, hormones acting capricous due to the pregnancy. But she really was shocked at what he had just offered.

"Well, I guess it was because the first half of our relationship was so secret..." He stated as a smile came over his face. He offered her his hand and then said "We could get something to eat at the tavern..."

"That'd be great" she grinned and took his hand. She didn't know it, but these last few days seemed to be a good day for lovers (or potential ones). Morgan and Rivven would meet later in the woods, Wedsday was planning on meeting Kiasys, and Quils was about to talk to Reaper.

Pale returned on Jay's arm and felt incredibly sleepy. It must have been the child again, making her energy levels so low. It'd been nice enough when she was on par with Jay, but now it was a problem. "Gotta go to bed..."

"All right" He said as he aided her going up the steps and to the bedroom, glad that they could be at an even level of energy. He too decided it was time to turn in, so he removed his shirt and sat on the edge of the bed, removing his boots.

Pale turned on her side so that her back faced him. Not to be wierd to him, it was because this way she could get out of bed quickly if anything happened to seem uncomfortable. "Goodnight Jay?"

Vaihingen Pale turned on her side so that her back faced him. Not to be wierd to him, it was because this way she could get out of bed quickly if anything happened to seem uncomfortable. "Goodnight Jay?" "good night" He said with a small smile as he slid in next to her and gave her a gentle hug, kissing her on the cheek and then resting his head on the pillow. He knew she needed rest, so he didn't want to keep her up all night. sweatdrop

For once Aes did not bother knocking. He had examined Pale two days before, but from what he had heard there was no telling what condition she would now be in. There was no noise, but he could feel a signature that matched his sons just in the upper level of the house. He followed it grimly, bag in hand.

Jay heard the door open and breathed a sudden sigh of relief. The call was answered. Quickly he departed from the room and made his way down the steps, signaling Aes over and saying "She's up there" looking up the stairs to the open room "...her ki is extremely low...is there anything you can do to keep it from dropping?"

I've never seen one take so much from the mother, and I assure you that while Kasumi went under similiar circumstances it was not to this degree." before any questions could be asked, he continued:"A cesarean delivery is performed when a vaginal birth is not possible or is not safe for the mother or child. Surgery is to be done while Pale is awake but anesthetized from the chest to the legs by epidural or spinal anesthesia. An incision is made across the abdomen just above the pubic area. The uterus is opened, the amniotic fluid is drained, and the baby is delivered.
The baby's mouth and nose are cleared of fluids, and the umbilical cord is clamped and cut. The baby could then be handed to you to make sure that breathing is normal."

Instead of wasting time just standing there talking, Jay lead Aes to the room and said "That sounds painful, but effective, but my question is will it seriously harm the child or Pale?"

"There are some, but they are minor. The most common ones are reactions to medications, problems breathing, bleedind, infection, infection and injury to the tract. Recovery takes longer than it would from a natural birth. Walking is encouraged the day of surgery to speed recovery. Pain can be managed with oral medications." he looked around "Where is she?'
