"Oooh, Mayor!" Mot grinned, "Fitting." How elated he was to hear her say his words could make a banner or a campaign slogan. "You say such nice things of me. Thank you." If her opinion of him was just that high, maybe he was doing okay after all. He blushed again when she made mention of the other Riley and her choice in men, averting his gaze. Lightly chuckling he returned it, "Gosh, Captain, you sure know how to make a reaper blush."

Marosa wasn't quite all there, but returned Yaya's kiss eagerly, not really paying attention to anyone else at the moment. He was about to greet them, but his mind had been abuzz since he first walked into the party, his old habits kicking in and mind silently freaking out not to touch anyone, even though it wasn't really that much of a problem anymore.
So you think, he mentally chided himself, shaking his head to clear his mind and embrace Yaya.
"Happy New Year, Hadiyya." He murmured softly, leaning into her cool hands, relishing in the touch of them that cleared his mind so. A finger curled into a lock of her hair as she excused herself, and confusion flitted over his face as he watched her impishly walk up to another and kiss him on the cheek.
He could feel his face turning red, and... was that jealousy that he was feeling? Pinching the bridge of his nose, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. It was definitely a fey quality (as well as a family trait) that jealousy ran deep within them.
Marosa opened his eyes when he realized that he was being addressed, and tilted his head curiously at Erebus. A distraction from jealousy. "Happy New Year. It seems there are a great many things to come that will be rather... intriguing."
The faerie turned to those that had been addressing him before. "My apologies. Happy New Year to you, as well."

With a new year to look forward to, even the gnomes felt relatively better (relatively blissful in their assumptions that a new year meant completely clean slates with the students). One in particular--the Sandy Claws-vested,beard-toting, plum-nosed, festively-socked manager of the spinning wheel--had already been in high spirits even before 2014 had officially arrived; and once it had, well, by golly jolly it really was Kissmas.
And wasn't that so much better than some darn new year? They got those annually!
But there weren't enough couples celebrating! Why, he was downright inspired by the attention one pale little fellow kept getting. Everyone should get to celebrate the magic of Joy and Lip Interference!
Earlier the gnome had tried to rig the machine in his favor, but that blue-zombie thing had kept "fixing" it. Now that the Student Council was suitably distracted, he leaned in towards the machine, ho-ho-ho'd to himself, and fiddled with a few circuits.
"Merry Kissmas to all," he whispered with a gleam in his eye, feeling the Christmas Spirit intensify, "and to all a good fright."
OOC From now until the end of the party (11:59pm PST), anyone who uses the spinning machine will automatically get a mistletoe from it regardless of the roll: Effect: If the bearer points it at someone, the target becomes overwhelmed with the need to kiss the first person they see. This is a one time use item!

That I do. Riley agreed, patting his cheek fondly. She straightened back up, and slowly pulled away. And now that I have done so, I think I should get back to my date, before the party ends completely. If you can bear to part with me, that is.
She leaned up, and pressed her forehead against his, closing her eyes in a solemn moment. And we're not gone, yet. I'm in the undead dorms, if you ever need someone to chat with.

There was another quick peck delivered to Jove's cheek, but the djinn didn't linger. The poor wisp had been embarrassed enough, and she needn't contribute further. She gave his pale hair a soft ruffle, smiling fondly, before excusing herself to head back through the crowd towards her boilfriend. Completely unawares of any potential jealously that might have sprung up. Tanned fingers interwove with pale ones, lifting the boils hand up and guiding it to soft lips. She lay a kiss along his knuckles before smiling up at him, leaning into his side. "Sorry my darling, had to spread a little holiday cheer in the form of embarrassing sisterly affection. You have me all to yourself now." Another brush of her lips along his knuckles, then she was turning glowing eyes towards Erebus. "Happy new years all around." No, Yaya didn't mind waiting every so often, she'd certainly been guilty of arriving to things late herself. Really, her race was notorious for their less then stellar punctuality. She turned again to Marosa. "See anything you might like to do?" It was after midnight, so she wasn't sure how much longer the fey would want to stay out, but if there was anything that'd caught his eye they could certainly make a stop.

Sometime during the past few moments of giving Merope a curious look, Llyr had also found time to scribble vaguely on a piece of paper that he really was not entirely sure about but that had been passed his way unexpectedly anyway.
Dear Wishing Tree: I wish... for pretty things. From: Llyr (it is smudged from water droplets)

The song had been going on for quite some time, and it was an odd sort of song to dance to, but a slow one so something easy for his bonded to follow along with, at least. And if Alex might have pulled Yin in a little bit close, skeletal fingers wrapping tightly around the other boils hand while his other rested on his waist above the hip, well, that was just how slow songs were meant to be danced to. The zomboil was completely aware that Yin was guiding him towards the door, and he let him, even though Alex was most definitely the one that was leading.... Okay, no he wasn't. But that was okay because he'd gladly follow his fiance where ever he chose to take him. Plus it meant that he got his New Year's kiss faster the sooner they left. At the mention of cleaning up, however, Alex gave the other boil a startled look, as if he hadn't even considered he might be needed for that, and well...ugh, cleaning was the worst. "Nope, I think this is a perfect time to leave." He smiled, maybe a bit nervously as eyes darted around to make sure his fellow student council members didn't notice him ditching and try to apprehend him on the way out. "Let's move it." He hissed in a low whisper, pushing on the doors and pulling his weremantis out with him.

Mot chuckled lightly, a shy smile across his long face. He closed his eyes as well as she rested her forehead to his. He already felt better now. There were still plenty of friends here at the school. He'd be just fine. "Thank you. I will." He laughed and patted her shoulders, "Get back to your date, then. I'll be just fine."

Riley pulled away, disentangling herself slowly from Mot, and then patted his shoulder one last time with a fond look, before turning to walk away without a single word spared. She beelined for the tables, every step as confident as usual, until she arrived at them and turned to hop on a table and sit there, confronting Jericho.
Did you save me anything? You know what I like.

Jericho turned, then held out his plate to Riley when she returned to him. "I think this thing here is something brainy. I'm not really sure, though."

The faerie thought for a moment, ending up shaking his head before kissing her on the nose. "Nay. Oi dinnae want anything else here." If she had studied him intently, he could see the jealousy wash off of his face into a cool expression, the fey closing his eyes to compose himself.
"Oi've... nay celebrated this with anyone else," Marosa admitted, opening his golden eyes once again to stare at her, and just her. "Though, oi should really make an effort tae visit more creeple..." His gaze slid around the room, shoulders slumping in defeat. Had he really been missing out on a lot of things? Maybe Hadiyya could fix that. Jack knew he needed it.
