Now that he remembered he could capture these fragments so long as he paid attention, Linswo intently followed one around for a few moments. Then he stepped forward and reached for it, his fingers wrapping around the orb as it echoed words. Everything will be okay. I’m okay. The phrase was simple enough and spoken in what appeared to be his own voice. He didn’t know the importance behind the words. Maybe it was utterly meaningless. Linswo moved on toward another fragment to follow. But then he paused when he heard a greeting. “Ah, hi,” he returned. He turned around and smiled. “Do you need something?”

Eidhis knelt down and picked up another fragment by her feet as she waited for the boy's reply. You have to share with your brother. The same voice.
She nearly walked right into him as he began heading off but stopped to reply to her. "Mmm. Not really." She shrugged. "You just seemed concerned? You were just looking at your hands for a while." She wondered if he noticed his actions earlier.

There really seemed no reason why she should stay, only that she didn't want to be alone. That was a longing all on its own, and given how many different things she felt separated from, alleviating one, even at the expense of another, seemed the thing to do. But at the same time, he looked terribly uncomfortable to have her hovering. Maybe he was just being polite? "You're not that bad, you're just being hard on yourself." And while that was good encouragement, the little orbs of light weighed her pockets down, begged to be returned to the Goddesses. It would make them happy, so a large part of Annabell wanted to return them.
"How about this? Tell me your name, and I'll leave you alone. But if we meet again, we'll know what to call each other! Sound good?"

Just after his question, Linswo became distracted by yet another fragment. He only had one more left and then he would have finished his task. He would be able to go to the shrine to visit the goddesses. Linswo wondered what he would receive in return? His expression turned blank as he honed in on the fragment and his hand lunged out for it. In one swift movement he now held it in his hands. Linswo hummed curiously as he heard a soft song playing in the background. Sing me to sleep… He tilted his head, but then jumped when he heard the other’s voice. “Oh! Yes. I was wondering if my hands were a bit of a hindrance. I was having some trouble catching fragments, but it seems I managed in the end,” he explained with a smile.

Another floated near, but this time far enough out of reach that when he lunged for it, he found it skirting just past his fingertips, and his feet land precariously close to the edge and the waterfall below.
Disappointment, sharp, bitter. He'd wanted that shard, and now he would have to find another as this one spun out of sight.

She looked down at his hands and noticed he had all the fragments he needed. Oh... She felt a bit inadequate now that she only had a measly three. "They seem to have done you well." She said with a smile. "So I guess you're heading off to the Shrine now, right?" She kind of wanted company when she collected fragments, but it was okay if she had to do it alone.
She noticed another by her feet. She happily bent down to pick it up. She was one step closer to being able to offer them to the Goddess. Don't leave me, please. The voice came without a feeling of loneliness. How strange. But she ignored it. The goal was much more important to her now.

He backed away from that ledge and hunkered down slightly. Around him, he was aware of sound, of others speaking to one another, but at this moment he did not wish to speak, just to complete this mission, to give what he found to the goddess.
One crystal hovered almost lazily, slowly floating within reaching distance of where he crouched, lying in wait, ready.
A hand closed around the fragment, the glowing orb now only just barely visible between fingers that clasped around it. With its acquisition came the now mandatory whisper, a voice that he had heard before, the one he associated with himself.
Now you are mine.
There was a faded sense of elation, merely a shadow of what it might normally feel like.
He was so close now, he could feel it.

[Entering]
The temple had a certain austere calm about it. The motionless surface of the water, fringed by the distant roar of the waterfall as it cascaded into seeming oblivion fascinated Wiki a moment.
But something glimmered in the shadows of a broken column. Carefully, he swept out a hand, and snatched at it; what he came up with, was a small, glowing fragment of crystal. It almost seemed to warm in his palm, the glow intensifying, and to his suprise, a hushed, rapid phrase seemed to hiss by his ear.
Fascinating indeed.
He turned the crystal in his palm, feeling it's warmth course into his fingertips. Perhaps there were more. And perhaps they would provide him answers, if he had enough.

Just one more. That's what he kept telling himself as he stood back up straight and turned in a slow circle to seek out just one more of those softly glowing orbs.
Spying one across the room from where he stood, he began to stride towards it, hand opening and swiping it out of the air.
Gerald . Whoever's name it was, it somehow seemed important and left behind the warmest feeling of all.
He had gathered enough. This would make an excellent offering, he was sure.
Nifen wandered off with crystals clutched tight.

Eventually Balt had found his way to a new location. Or what was left of one. The place looked as though it was about to crumble and fall off the edge it was currently clinging to and yet, in spite of its appearance, it was calming.
He had even made his way down to the waters edge to explore when a fragment caught his eye, bobbing in the air with their own light. It was enough to draw him away from the water with curiosity. However as he approached, it moved away. If it wasn't for his quick movement, the fragment would have vanished entirely. Fortunately he managed to snatch it out of the air before it could.
Though when he did, the shard spoke--or rather it replayed.

Perhaps his senses would serve him better. Quietly he began around to the other side of the temple, feeling for any sign of a fragment. He was surprised to feel an energy hovering just by his head.
He reached up, and came down with another glowing shard. The voice almost seemed to whisper something discernible this time, as it warmed in his palm.

Others brushed past him, vaguely familiar blue forms. He only pocketed the fragment and continued on. His gaze shifted to the ceiling, curious if they might be shimmering down on him from the rafters above.
And lo and behold, there was. He snatched it up quickly, the muddled voice hissing among his thoughts.
