In the room, Raum opted this time to test her new pistols on the fan. She fired up at it, hoping to destroy it. After all, what were ranged weapons for if not wrecking a cold fan? Last time she'd barely managed to throw that piece of debris up, that's how cold it was in here.

No matter how cold it got, if she could just keep firing into the fan, she should be okay. Shouldn't she? The thought seemed to encourage her, and she fired a rapid succession of shots into it.

Raum held her hands as steady as she could. It seemed the more she practiced with Sorrow and Rage, the better she became at wielding them; that made sense, didn't it?
And yet it was hilariously far from how she'd started her fighting style in the first place. Barehanded kicks and punches to the throat.

Raum glared at the fan. Sort of. Her expression was just as icy as the fan was making this room.
Hadn't anyone suggested mild temperatures to whoever made this place? Why would they put such extremes side by side?
That was probably what had killed them all. Yep.
She fired again, this time pouring the rest of a clip into them, firing with both guns.
It was beautiful, like fireworks. She had done it, and she headed out into the next place.

How did she intend to climb it, this time? She tried to race up, just like she had, but she miscalculated the climb and managed to hurt herself instead.

She holstered her pistols and ran, as fast as she could. It turned out that was the deciding factor in her ascension: this time, Raum booked it up the side, and she hadn't realized before, but she must have had one of them out that made it impossible for her to grab hold of things when she needed to, when she needed to be as fast as she could.
When had caution ever helped anyone?
As she surveyed the red orbs at the top of the climb once more, she smiled to herself. She actually kind of loved the thrill of this particular challenge; it made her feel more... alive, somehow.
Right...This place. Decyl remembers this place. It hurts trying to dodge those things. Better limber up andddd...Runs into all but one. Ow.

Etyam could not place why, but he had a distinct feeling that he did not like fire.
The testing room seemed to prove him right entirely. Aside from a shockwave knocking him back, he was otherwise unscorched.
