Bix was reset. "What.. the.. fuh-" He literally stomped the sand in frustration. ******** this job. And then there bug lizard tentacle monsters and the horsemen seemed keen on killing everyone, including themselves. /Um, Evan,/ Gir said as the lizard they just hit took notice and bared long, pointy teeth at them, /I don't think it wants to play!/Yeah, me neither, Evan thought back, backpedaling as fast as he could. It was hard to do in all that sand though, and his lack of speed gave the lizard ample opportunity to charge and-- CHOMP!/This sucks!/ Gir complained as teeth and claws tore through flesh and bone like paper. She used his actual name (sort of). Invictus passed a look of extra concern towards Aisa, before he looked back to Eris.

They were standing shoulder to shoulder once again, as if nothing had happened, and Invictus' brows furrowed together. "The time keeper is here." he said firmly, looking to the other heirs now. "He showed himself to me when I asked if he was responsible." he explained. "And this will keep repeating until we find out what about the previous scenarios that we have 'failed' is undesirable."
He squeezed both Aisa and Eris' hands back as he walked with them towards the appearing runes, moving to touch the golden one. "We will be together again soon." he bid to each of the other heirs before he moved from their sides.

Everything was happening so quickly...and she never felt more powerless as she had as of this moment. Around her chaos insued, even as the area reset once more the chaos continued. Built up from frustrations, even though this place now seemed more like a puzzle than a battle field to her everyone seemed to crave and see red. Then lizards came, and people started to drop like flies. Her eyes grew wide as she watched in horror, Kat....Rep....Harrison...Candace... Many, many others. Instinctively she turned, looked, who was still ali Moving more like a doll was easier, much easier. She felt numb inside, the events taking place leaving her exhausted mentally and physically. She moved to take a swing at one of the lizard creatures, not aiming super well and grazing it. She was, afterall, a moon... she was better at defending or healing, not attacking. Gale's hoarse, panicked scream of "CANDACE!" was lost somewhere in the sound of shrieks and shouts and hot wind and sand. He felt a surge of pain in his stomach, bitter, hot, terrible pain, and suddenly everything was too much, it was too familiar, and he could see a face in his mind, a redheaded, smiling face telling him he was too serious for a kid.

He felt as though he were going to pass out, but there was a gentle hand on his arm, and Gale twisted around to see Stormy in front of him, a determined look on his face, and something in him snapped, Jinhai shouting inside of his head.

He did not want to see anyone else die.
Swinging the rifle around, Gale lifted it to his shoulder, moved around Stormy, and fired, nine bullets going off in quick succession, almost deafening, and he could feel the icy cold of the weapon against his cheek. He turned to Stormy.

It was a good thing Bix called out the warning, because she had to jump back a few paces to avoid the attack. In training she had been on the receiving end of this move, so she knew how much it sucked to be hit by it. His voice meant more than that though, because somewhere inside...part of her calmed down. Rising slightly out of her subdued state, she turned and made a slightly deeper slash at the monster. Some were alive... some of her loved ones were alive. So this thing needed to die. As the monsters emerged from the sands, there was no time for fear, no time for hesitation. Hunters were dying on the sands. It was about survival again, one moment to the next. Over, and over, and over, the lava eating away her face, and then she was whole again, only to die, mouths and teeth and rended flesh- Wash swung wildly, but in the back of his mind he wondered if it was all in vain. To relive these moment, again and again, each time with new and different horrors. Their bodies mended, but their minds... "Me. Please, please. I'm begging you. I volunteer to be next." Sasha's voice was tinged with an edge of panic.
"Is this what you really want?" He asked her. His eyes were wide with unshed tears, and he did the only think he could think to do - he reached through the bars, and held out his hand. She took it in her own - so pale and delicate.
An end. She had wanted an end, so that she wouldn't have to witness the suffering of others.
"I.. I can't..."

Melvin was visibly shaking, but from the shock of seeing so many people ripped apart, to smell that sort of blood on the sand, the threat of death everywhere, and the frustration that it might not ever end. They were all running on theories and testing whatever they could, and each turn was another chance to learn more. He just had to hope that they learned the proper formula.
That and remind everyone to SHOOT THE SPIKES!!!
He pointed his gun and fired.

Luckily such a big target was relatively easy to hit, and he could only hope that after so much damage, it would be killed and all threats of being consumed with it. Then, maybe then, they could leave.
His eyes trailed to those around him now nothing but corpses and wondered if that was a good thing.

Taking a breath to steady his aim, he pointed Saliva at the creature's spine. It had been a sort of center for it to animate making it seem like the best place to shoot. If anything, he hoped it followed logic and could be paralyzed - even if he doubted it. Fear was a funny thing.
Narrowing his eyes, he fired directly into the bones of the creature, but despite looking tattered, it was still alive. "Damnit."
