"I think so, at least, she got a bit twitchy if she didn't, but I had always chalked that up to the fact she normally travels and not stay in once place like she did in Caras Galadhon," Miyuki admitted, "We had been talking earlier, well she was asking about what I knew magic wise. I'm not sure what she was looking for though."
After all, Kyrie could have just asked if Miyuki knew any offensive magic.

Enlightenment dawned on Lancaeriel's face, and she emitted a soft laugh.
"Yes, she might be gone a while," she said, her tone apologetic. "I'm afraid I don't know about her past, but ... I don't think she likes offensive magic much. I know when I told her about my abilities, she seemed to ... I don't know, almost ... shy away from me."
She smiled sadly. "She's barely spoken to me since. I'm not certain, but I think that may be why she requested Princess Wren as her roommate so quickly last night."

Miyuki blinked, and here she thought Kyrie wasn't pleased that Miyuki didn't have much in the ways of offensive magic.
"Oh... I wonder then... when I told her about the array I was working on to bind people if it bothered her at all," Miyuki murmured, "I thought she was worried about safety when we traveled. It's the only semi-offensive thing I've ever worked on."
Of course, she knew that Lancaeriel knew that, since Lancaeriel had been the one to teach her all her magic.

"Well, I'm sure she is," Lancaeriel assured her as she began to help them with the breakfast. "I just have a feeling that something happened to her in the past ... something rather unpleasant. And she does have rather a lot of scars, so anything is possible."
"You don't know Kyrie well, then?" Elspeth asked curiously as she directed the others. "And yet you are traveling with her?"

Going back to helping breakfast, Miyuki explained, "Kyrie is our guide while we travel, the rest of us come from another continent and my father makes maps for a living. We came to see this whole continent, and Kyrie was recommended to us by her family to guide us and keep us safe."
Which was the short end of it, it was hard to imagine that they might even be seeing the countries of the White Elves and that one country that had been taken over by that evil general. She did hope everything would turn out fine.

"Ah, I see," Elspeth smiled. "Well, you certainly have given yourself quite a task. This is a large continent, and even few who were born here have seen it all."
"Well, we do have a second purpose in hoping to see it all," Lancaeriel admitted. "My husband was killed a number of years ago, and I am hoping to find him reborn somewhere. We have been reunited several times before, and it has never been this long before we have found each other."

Miyuki nodded at this, she wondered, if he was here, which country would he be in? It could be anywhere really.
"It'll be interesting, that's for sure," Miyuki murmured.
That's why her family traveled.

It took nearly half an hour for the flatcakes (which were indeed pancakes, though a bit thinner and with more flavour, as they were made from sago flour) to be finished, and then Elspeth took it upon herself to knock on all the doors where her guests were still asleep, to wake them up so that they could eat. About halfway through the meal, Kyrie returned, calm and smiling - if a bit sweaty.
Once the meal was over, Wren offered to help with dishes, which left the rest of the guests to their own devices - though Elspeth cautioned them to return by the noon hour, if they wanted some lunch.

Breakfast was great, and Miyuki had to write down the recipe because it was a bit different than what she had seen before. She wondered absently if other flour would change pancakes as well.
Now that they had time, going into town seemed like a real possibly. Lin suggested it after breakfast.
"We could just take a look around, it isn't far," Lin suggested.

"And it's a very small town," Earendil added, liking the idea. "Seemed nice enough when we were passing through it."
"Would I be able to take Ponydash, Eon and Zeus with?" Andarien asked. "Out of their Pokeballs, at least while we're outside?"
Earendil looked down at Lin. "I don't see why not ..."

Lin nodded, "And Ai and Yasu can as well since we're just going about town."
As long as they were outside, no point in keeping them in their balls. The Pokemon would appreciate it, that was for certain.
"Yes!" Miyuki grinned as she fingered the pokeballs at her waist.

"Do you mind a bit of company?" Daeron asked the family as Andarien hurried towards the door, eager to let his Pokemon out for a bit. "Iorlas and I were also thinking of exploring, but it's always more fun with more people."
Iorlas laughed and took her husband's hand. "Don't feel bad saying no, if you want to," she grinned at the others. "We can get along quite well on our own as well."

Lin chuckled at this, "Why say no? It's always more the merrier in cases like these."
She watched as Andarien and Miyuki hurried out the door to release their Pokemon.
"Besides, it can be a family outing."

"I don't need anything," Iorlas smiled, her eyes shining brightly.
Earendil looked at Lin. "I think we're about ready," he agreed.

Lin checked to make sure she had what she needed with her, one didn't know what they might come across while in town.
"I think we're ready," she finally murmured.
There wasn't anything else she needed for their trip out.
