And then, there was a smoky tendril coming at her, and she yelped, dodging quickly out of the way. It whooshed past her, just grazing her, and she swore she smelled...flowers?
How very strange. Why would a distorted creature smell of flowers? She landed her dodge on both feet, but stumbled back a bit, and then she started searching for her group.
Regret it indeed...as she managed to stand from her rolling attack she felt a sudden searing pain slash across her back. She grit her teeth and tasted blood as she caught her lip, but the sting of that was nothing compared to the stinging agony of her back. She had to keep her jaw locked to keep from screaming, she couldn't scream, screaming would be undignified. She arched and then jerked away her vision swimming for a second before she managed to gather her wits about her. Oh...oh sweet love of all that hurt, she looked at the thing with sudden respect, it was much stronger than she'd thought.
She looked over her shoulder her eyes going wide at the sight, her top was slightly ripped and through that rip she could see a long black gash where her skin was blackened and little wisps escaped the wound. It was as if someone had burned her with acid or taken a blowtorch to the flesh. She reached fearfully her fingers trembling and touched the wound prepared for agony, and instead was startled to feel only a mild tingle. What the...
She looked down and felt her legs tremble, not from pain, but because she noticed a tiny spiderweb of cracks on the green egg shaped orb she'd been told was so important. She had been so careful of it...had it been damaged while she attacked...or only after she'd been struck? She sucked in a slow deep breath of air as he saw black mist escape the cracks...just like the black wisps coming from her back. Be more careful! She nodded to herself and then stood firm and steady forcing her legs to lock under her until the trembling was gone. The fear core she carefully tucked back against her skirt and she tried to ignore the faint brush of air against her exposed back.

Good, good. This was good. She totally had a handle on this. She could absolutely control this situation. She was managing to keep calm in what was most certainly a very stressful situation, though admittedly it had taken her a lot of time to get to said zen like state. There was a certain amount of maturity that was beyond her years burning through the gaze she directed towards the monstrous shadow-like being that they all set their efforts towards defeating now.
With a long, deep inhale of breath, she pulled back on her string for a third and final time, gathering her energy, her Fear, into a creating one last elemental arrow. One that burned bright and fierce, and larger then any of her others combined.
"REIGN OF FIRE!" The words that burst out were much louder then anything she had said so for, a battle cry of sorts, and as soon as the last syllable slipped past her lips, another flame joined the arrow in a corkscrew that wrapped around it before she let it loose. The flame arced through the air, almost seeming to take form, to spread wings, a tail whipping behind it. It didn't quite get there, however, and seemed to almost fizzle before hitting it's mark, as though she had used up all of her energy in the first two attacks, and this was all that she had left over. It still did it's work, scorching blazing into the shadowy form, surely scorching it though no marks were visible.
The small girl with the brightly colored hair was left panting, exhausted, her bow lowered to her side. The last thing on her mind was that there might be a retaliation in reply to all of her efforts...

"Gotcha!" It escaped from under her breath as she made a retreat jump backwards. Her first physical attack seemed to incite a reaction, showing pain. Although her motions weren't as elegant as Lissa or Izzy's, she still managed to make her mark on the enemy. But she wasn't in the clear just yet. The enemy still stands before the group of girls.
"Here we go again!" Leanne made her dash with her weapon out front. The eyes of the cats at the end of her baton shone a light yellow colour and she could feel power welling up in the palm of her hand. It ran through the metal from tip to end. Leanne made a second attack quickly, hoping to attack before the enemy could get back and take revenge on her.
Willow facepalmed as the wolf just seemed to bounce off the creature. "Nice try buddy... Maybe next time.." She yelped painfully as the tendril crashed against her. That would smart later.. Falling to her knees in disorientation, she tried to take deep breathes. Willow could swear she smelt flowers, but she chalked it up to the attack. Shaking the feeling off she stood up and backed up a bit just to put some distance between her and the tendrils.
This second attack didn't harm the opponent as much. Perhaps she wasn't pulling back enough? or was she holding out? Hopefully it was still helpful to Leanne and her new friends. Nearly missing her footing, she landed with her left hand on the ground to support herself from toppling over.
Seeing everyone else give it their all, Leanne also felt more natural fighting the opponent. It felt a lot better that she wasn't alone in the battle. "Keep up the good work everyone!" She called out for motivational purposes. Whether or not it helped, she didn't know.
Without wasting time, Leanne made headway towards the opponent again, this time twirling her baton as she was more comfortable with it. Giving a giant leap, she threw her baton into the air above her head and the moment she caught it, sent a hit flying down towards the enemy.
"Circus Altius!" She cried as the blow landed in one final attempt to defeat the challenge they faced. She might've been dreaming as she thought she saw colour manifesting with her attack. The world was a blur to her after her final attack. Falling onto the ground, she landed square on her butt, baton sliding out of her hand from palm sweat as she watched the enemy, waiting for a reaction.
As she backed away, something caught her eye and she made a grab for it. ...A crystal?
< Hang onto those, those are important! They will help replenish your Fear. Why not try using one right now? It is pretty simple, put the crystal next to your Fear core. >
Willow shook her head. "No. I'd rather hang onto it." Besides. All she had was a grazing. No sense using the crystal for that. "Someone else might need it later."
Oh sure, now the thing chose to be helpful. "I'll remember that."
< Speaking of Fear, do you remember your wish now? >
Her eye twitched. "No. I have no idea where I am and you expect me to remember a wish at the snap of a finger?" She was curious though. What had her wish been? "Don't suppose you can give me anymore of your wonderful hints can you."
She opened her eyes slowly and sat up, slumping forward and staring at her shoes. A voice lingered over her as she rubbed her eyes and adjusted her glasses so that she could see clearly. Her staff was next to her, simple as ever but useful. Leaning on it carefully, she stood up and looked around.
"Honestly... I feel like I need a nap."
The explanation pretty much went in one ear and out the other as she rested her chin on the top of her staff. It sunk in kinda but there was no sign of it on her face as she stared blankly out into space for a moment while she thought over what was being said. She vaguely remembered how to use her weapon but she was still sluggish after waking up.
"Can't someone else help? I mean I just woke up." She frowned and then finally fixed her hair since it had started falling over her face. She sighed and held her staff in her hands and stood up straight finally. "Aii.... I guess if there's no one else I'll help.... but only if I get to go back to sleep after."
It was at that point she noticed that she wasn't alone, there were dozens of other girls around her with different weapons and all kinds of outfits. For a moment she looked down at her outfit ans felt very plain but meh she really didn't care to put in the effort to figure out why.

<I'm glad you are making acquaintances, we will need all the help to fight --!>
Astiria looked back at the creature who seemed to have reappeared. She herself had not really spent much of the time speaking with anyone and had only really gotten to her feet recently. So while she would have liked to have gotten to know more of the others here she had not had the chance really. Still, it was her own fault for not doing so. "If you say so. I still have yet to speak with many of them..." she admits to the one who had told her so much yet so little thus far.
<I do have one last question, do you at least remember what your wish was? I believe that will help you remember who you are. >
At this comment slash question from the creature she blinked. Her wish? she could not remember really. Although the thing did have a point, if she could remember that it might help. Still... "I am afraid that I.. well, that I cannot remember it.. Although I think I should." she said annoyed at herself for forgetting such a thing.
<It's not a huge thing though, fighting -- is much more important! If we can defeat the uprising, then we will save many, many lives. I'm sure that much you can understa->
Astiria blinked at his new comment. Not a huge thing? How could knowing why you are fighting not be a big thing? She could not help but wonder. She did agree that saving lived did seem a bit more important though in the long run. Perhaps she could find out more later? "I guess you are correct in that..." She admitted as she sighed before it started to continue. She then looked to see why it had stopped talking mid word.
<- ?????? > Her eyes widened and then narrowed as this thing came into existence out of the shadows. It did not feel right and she could not help glaring at the thing as she drew her short swords. She had a feeling that this thing would be the first thing she would have to be rid of if she wanted any closer to her memories.
< It looks like our time has run short! Fight on and be strong, remember what you promised! >
As the creature to her to fight she gave it a nasty look. Did it really think she would run from her promise? It mush have very little faith in her to think that. Turning towards the shadow creature she moved into a fighting stance before launching her self at the thing. However, it seemed luck was not with her as one of the things tentacles managed to deflect most of the damage. "How dare you stop my attack! Stupid tentacle thing!"

Finally, it seemed like it was over. She was safe, and she needed to find her friends. She spun around, and as she spotted each of them, she relaxed. No one seemed too badly hurt, at least - even if her attacks hadn't really done all that much, at least she'd fought her hardest! She backed away from the thing, towards the other girls.
Some of them seemed to have crystals - maybe they'd done more damage than her? "Is everyone alright?" She asked, worried. Her own damage had been light - what if one of the others had been hit harder?
Astiria was not going to let her first hit be her last and quickly spun her self towards the creature, blades out as she felt her.. fear was it?... channeling through the blades. When this one hit she could feel that she had hurt it more than before as it pulled back slightly. Astiria couldn't help the smile that broke out over the dark tan skin of her face . "Didn't like that one did you, Mr. Tentacles!" She cried out as she readied herself for her final attack.

Hecate saw herself being piece together but she still feels extremely tired.
The out from the sky above, a crystal dropped down.
"What is that?"
She took it as the little creature who was talking to her before said something.
"So these are suppose to help us replenish Fear huh?"
Hecate used the crystal and connected it to her fear and it became the pure green color it was.
"Huh. That's how it worked."
She looked at the creature again as it spoke and back into the crystal. "No. I-I don't remember my wish but..." she held up her crystal. "I think it would have to do with this Fear Core's color. I feel like...it was a noble wish though."
She got up and went over to the girl she was talking to before and spoke. "Hey. Are you alright?"

The first sensation Ceres noticed was a dull, throbbing ache throughout her head. Slowly, she blinked open her blue eyes, before shutting them again. Everything around her was blurry and she felt slightly dizzy. Even as she laid on the cold ground, trying to remember what happened, a voice intruded on her thoughts. "How am I feeling? How does it look like I am feeling." She thought to herself in annoyance, hoping that if she kept her eyes closed and ignored the speaker, whoever it was would go away. Unfortunately, the speaker just kept talking to her and Ceres let out a soft growl of annoyance before opening her eyes and blinking until the world came back into focus. Slowly, the white haired girl sat up, her long hair pooling on the ground around her as she stared at the little creature in front of her. "Definitely annoying," Ceres thought to herself. "But maybe it can be useful."
The creature's next words somewhat confirmed this as it stated she had chosen to fight. "Fight?" That didn't feel entirely wrong to her. As the creature continued, Ceres reached down and picked up the red jewel, tucking it carefully away as she listened to the explanation of Fear. While none of it exactly seemed to make sense, Ceres had a feeling she would want to know this later. However, her headache was making it hard to think clearly and so she said nothing in reply to the creature. Her eyes fell to the weapon as it was mentioned. A golden crossbow lay near her and she picked it up, her fingers tracing over the flowing patterns on it almost lovingly. She didn't remember this weapon but it felt right in her hands and she raised it experimentally. "Reaper?" Ceres looked at the creature as she finally spoke. The term meant nothing to her, much like this balance she was supposed to restore. When no answer was forthcoming except that she was one of the few left to do this job and protect, she shook her head. "Well thanks for the vote of confidence." She muttered, standing and looking around, the crossbow held lightly in at her left side.
