When Lucifer spoke of them having an eternal contract Rai released Rosa and cursed,"I hate you, you know that. Your little girlfriend too." He spat under his breath as he felt the rope shorten, his hand brushing Rosa's,"How do you expect us to complete a task this close to each other?"

Shura skipped back into the arena a wide smile plastered onto her face,"Your task is ready~!" She said voice filled with glee,"I've found a necromancer and demon pair who's powers certainly surpass your own, their probably the best at dual battles on the battle team." This task didn't really require a pact to be formed, they'd simply be obliterated and the class could move on. "Come out you two."

"That's for you two to figure out. If I can do things while trapped in a blade, you can do them while you have a tangled hand. Who knows, you might end up having to do something with one hand because the other's tangled somewhere. Just be glad that I'm being nice and am letting you play with your blood, imp."

  As Shura spoke she cautiously stepped into the arena, clinging to her necromancer's arms. At first glance she looked weak, almost inferior to the other demons around her but the aura that surrounded her suggested otherwise. When she saw the two that Shura described that they'd be sparing the girl bowed,"Roxanne Sanders, a fourth year student or 'senior' if you want to call it that."
"Don't bow to them Roxie! S-stand up!" The blue haired necromancer protested as he tugged at Roxanne's sleeve,"You're older than them, they should be bowing to you." After she stood he directed his attention to the group of people,"Renji Akimoto. Same situation as Roxie as far as school year goes. Shura-sensei told us we were to battle a newly contracted pair in order to test the limits of their contract, is it you two?" He questioned looking to the pair who seemed to be holding hands.

"It's those two." Meph said neutrally. She knew by the way the blade shifted on her back that Lucie was gauging their powers. She knew that they'd be much weaker than him, but he gauged them on power against their ages. When he settled down, she felt slight approval: he had deemed them skilled, and clearly better than Rosa and the imp, who had yet to test their new contract.

Rosalyn got a bit flustered, "Ok now that's pushing it... They not only have a huge advantage with age & practice, but I barely know how to use my powers let alone my Rosarios..." She sighed knowing that she didn't get a choice in this anyway so she just mumbled, "Nevermind..."

"And with their training, they know how to corner you so that you learn new things quickly. My first years learning how to fight were like that: push the beginners to the corner and make them learn what they can actually do, what their superiors can see. Plus, if something goes awry, I can stop it from spiraling out of control. You'll learn about yourself and the imp in the process, due to the joining." Only Rosa heard his voice.

Rai chuckled a bit as every gave their expectations of the necromancer and demon pair in front of him as he recalled beating the neko demon girl during battle practice. "This'll be a piece of cake." He said, confidence in his tone,"We could even lose the rope I can take these two all on my own."

The girl began to complain and Roxanne shrugged,"Well Renji-chan and I don't complain when were placed to battle against people double our size and strength level during our tournaments. It helps you improve your battle tactics on the fly." She encouraged unknowing that she had already been told this by a certain demon blade. "Plus~ Renji can help you with understanding you powers and what not he's quite skilled at necromancy." She said with a nod and looked to her necromancer who seemed to have a different opinion.
"I'm not a tutor she can find out herself, just like I did!" Renji stated, rather hysterically, protesting Roxanne's offer. "You give her lessons or I won't talk to you anymore."She protested turning her face away from his,"B-but Roxie! C'mon you have to talk to me at some point! Fine if it means that much to you I'll help her." He mumbled the last sentence obviously upset that he had been conned into doing something by the same old trick,"When's this battle starting anyway?"

"Right now sounds good." Lucifer yanked the rope to pull the two to the slightly older pairing rather roughly. "One thing to learn is to always be ready to fight-you'll never know when your opponent will strike, or if they'll even let you prepare. Some of the tournaments required instant clashing, way back when. You wouldn't last a second in them, imp."

Rosalyn listened to lucifers words and then glared at Rai and mumbled to him, "You're over confidant moron! With that attitude you'll get beaten and you won't understand why you lost althought it's obvious. Now stop acting like that or you'll just piss me off...." She didnt realize what she said even though she knew he or one of them would have to piss her off or give her a good reason to fight since her rosario held two souls. One good one not so good but the prevented her from doing some things.

It seemed that the demon sealed in the sword started off the battle by pushing the their opponents and the two sprang into action. Roxanne's eyes grew into thin slits and her nails and teeth sharpened into claws and fangs. She stood on all four and no longer spoke only hissed at the two, as if taken over by animal instinct. Renji stated an incantation and a skeleton rose from the ground a katana in hand. He quickly grabbed himself and lurched the sword forward, aiming to catch Rai off guard. "Make sure Roxanne controls herself." He said to the undead solider who immediately responded by marching begging the neko demon awaiting a chance to fulfill his command. Roxanne slow circled around the two until stoping once she reach Rai's backside and once Renji thrusted his sword she sweepers at his legs knocking him to the ground.
Once a blade was pulled out at him Rai responded by using his open wound to forge a sword of blood. The fact that his right arm was linked to Rosa's made him have to wield it with his weaker hand in order to move freely while doing so. Renji's attack was countered with a simple slash of the blade but Roxanne's kick caught him off guard. Rai fell onto the ground and tugged at the rope between them,"You mind helping me with these two?"

Rosalyn felt thetug as he fell and she growled at him, "Shut up and get up!" gently she touched her Rosario whispering to herself and some hands sprouted (Yes imaginethem growing) around the demon girl grabbing at her legs and ankles and holding tight. After she looked at Rai, "You know you might want to try helping yourself...

Both bladed demon and necro watched the fight, nothing indicating their emotions. Lucifer would force any death blows to miss, and if the imp got cocky, his blood would turn against him. The demon grinned savagely at the though of the imp being turned on literally by his own blood, though no one could tell.

Once grabbed Roxanne thrashed violently, hissing as she did so and Renji who had his blade to Rai's throat chuckled a little,"Messing with Roxie when she's like that isn't a very wise thing to do." Simultaneously as he spoke his word Roxanne's tail split into two and the cat like features on her became more prominent, her teeth and claws longer and sharper and hair began to coat more than just her head. The hands that were wrapped around her received a strong bite and if that wasn't enough to get her out of this Renji's sword found its way to the string of the necklace and a slash was delivered.
Rai tried to make a quick effort in getting up but a sword had prevented him in doing so, until of course he had thought things through. Being pierced with this blade would draw more blood so he could finish this match all the faster, he lunged himself toward the sword and created a small wound before the sword was turned to Rosa. He smirked as he ran the crimson liquid through his fingers contemplating what to forge next. A scythe was forged and met with the necromancer's blade as it touched Rosa's neck,"Move." He muttered toward Rosa.
