 IlloHakudoshi was sharp, talking advantage of the environment like that. It wasn't everyday you could go up against such a discerning opponent. It made Illo smirk with confidence for the fight and whatever honor this plated fighter stood for.
"Thanks, you're not bad yourself." Ready, Illo seemed to watch Hakudoshi's move without moving his eyes, simply taking in the entire scope of his range of motion in one equal stare. One foot after the other Illo shuffled back, avoiding the first kick with a simple flick of the hand, but sooner or later the monk became aware of the unstable terrain. His back foot slipped back faster than he was ready for, putting him in a vulnerable position, but thanks to some quick thinking the monk was able take it in stride, lowering to the side and preparing a planned fall. It came with a glancing blow to the side of the head, and it actually hurt some, but Illo was able to roll away relatively unscathed.

 ☸ ☸ ☸Hakudoshi Gitsune ☸ ☸ ☸ ☸ Sage of The Illuminating Fang Hakudoshi continues to watch Illo analyzing his style. It weak points,and the body movement associated with it. His lightning didn't seem to be slowing the monk down at all,but he was sure Illo wasn't immune to it. If anything his own inner power was probably acting as a buffer.
" You fight like she does. No matter what so calm and calculated. Anticipating and adapting in time with the flow of battle.
" As he says this Hakudoshi allows Illo to rise as he makes a stance low to the ground. He motions for Illo to attack him. OOC: ----------

"Really? Good for her. It isn't so common to find another willing to sudden her to the fight." His third eye was giving off a constant stream of light, his stance was rock steady. "... FIne. Let's get started."
Illo took Hakudoshi's cue and rushed at him with a few chasse kicks designed to make him at least move his knees out of harm's way and perhaps put him in an awkward position. The thing about Illo's style was that it was so simple it was hard to analyse; there was simply not enough there. After the kicks an overhand punch came down. Illo made sure to keep his body centered.

Talented beings from all walks of life,but one man stands above them. Lumina told you about him yes. Time and time again, he has accomplished feats that surpass comprehension; he personifies Dreams and Fantasy. Despite his race, he could outdo many with ease and still look humble about it; even mother respects his leadership and charisma. He bore so many burdens...... yet he posses the indomitable will to keep going. He possesses qualities that many individuals these days severely lack. " Hakudoshi blocks the kicks by crossing his arms and standing grounded barely flinching on contact. After skittering a few feet back his tail flicks forward to bind Illo's hands together and fling him over Haku's head into the ground. Illo wasn't as physically strong as he'd thought,but perhaps that was due to his buffer against the lightning. It didn't matter what Haku if Illo could out read him. His instinct needed to surpass Illo's Minds Eye. The lesson Ren had drilled into him foamed to the surface of his mind. " In order for beings to get stronger and gain power, they need to develop a killer instinct, and that instinct is mostly forged in battle!
They must develop an insatiable hunger to engage in battle; they must live to mercilessly crush, shred and slice their enemies, this thirst for power is not a unnatural desire, in fact it forms the very essence of our beings; deep within our body lies the whole instinct to dominate and slaughter our enemies."

Quotes Not bad... He's about as strong as he looks. Illo Illo had accomplished feats deemed impossible by logical standards. In his travels to Bardo he literally blurred the lines for himself and others between Dream and reality. He was a talented man from a seemingly innocuous background. Illo has become a poster boy of sorts for the transcendent potential of humankind. He has had to bear burdens, he stays humble despite all his accolades... If not for the qualifier of being in the Ranto group, it could be easily mistaken as praise for the monk. Not that it means anything per se, but Illo was glad to know there was another out there so much like him.
Illo took note of the ease in which Hakudoshi was able to block his kick, even with a move which, if we're being technical here, could have easily caused both his forearms to break. But, taking that aside, Illo knew now more about Hakudoshi's durability. This appeared to be some powered up form, so it did make sense that a pulled kick at ten percent wouldn't exactly lay him out.
With some litheness that impressed the monk, Hakusdoshi had tied up an arm--only one since he was facing sideways--with his tail and used the appendage to toss him over his shoulder. In friendly sparring matches like these there is a certain unwritten rule for the allowing of an opponent to demonstrate a skill of his own; and of course by that there was the obligation to return the favor and show one's own proficiency in the area. As it was now, it seemed like it would be Illo's turn to show Hakudoshi his durability. However, the monk would eschew this tired route of bravado and use his finesse to simply twist over in the air and land safely on the ground. Sure, he had some velocity, but there was nothing to really be worried about with the amount of Horsestance he'd done in his time. He casually brushed his sleeve off and looked at the demonic man with a smirk.
"I'll have to meet this Decus you speak of one day. He seems like quite the warrior. ... But please, don't reduce me to a stepping stone." He started to shift his feet a little, breaking into Tree pose as he continued.
"This is good. You're more durable than most, so I should be able to use more power. I mean, you want a good fight, don't you?" That resonance from the first time would be heard again, but this time it sounded more ethereal. Closer inspection would tell Hakudoshi Illo was creating this sound telepathically: a projection so strong those without the gift could hear it.
Once he was done powering up, which didn't take long at all, Illo made another strong shockwave through the area. This time Illo seemed to be much stronger--much stronger than a five percent increase would suggest, anyway, and his aura was equally steady. His soul seemed to be spinning faster, just like the big inductor it was. He'd take off at truly impressive speeds with the use of his telekinesis toward Hakudoshi. A strong hook came from his rear hand to hopefully catch the opponent on the side of the head and deal some serious damage. Demonstrating his control, Illo would stop immediately after the punch at the edge of his reach to continue the assault if he needed to. Power output

☸ ☸ ☸Hakudoshi Gitsune ☸ ☸ ☸ ☸ Sage of The Illuminating Fang " Lumina's brother.....Decus is skilled to be sure,but that's not who I'm speaking of. Though he is mothers personal guard the one I speak of is task with something far more difficult. Should mother ever lose herself it is his duty to end her existence;for only he posses enough power to achieve it. He also protects the one thing that is truly precious to her in this world. Don't take what I'm saying as an insult,but I just wanted to experience your abilities first hand should you ever find yourself as Mothers enemy.
" Hakudoshi could feel the effects of the Lightning stimulating his his tissue start to reach critical. He'd have to release it into his wavelength soon or risk serious injury. Waiting for the electrical impulses to sync up took awhile;effecting Hakudoshi's over all ability. While reaching this conclusion he is buffeted off balance by Illo's shock wave. In his mild unbalance, his body was left wide open to receive Illo's hook. Unable to ground himself Hakudoshi is sent toppling over himself and considerable distance away. It takes him a moment to regain control,and land up right. The armor like plating on the right side of his face was significantly damaged,but other than that no visible damage could be seen. He turns his head to spit out a small cluster of blood before smirking.
" That's it. Now we can get started.
" Hakudoshi crouches low to the ground and releases his full wavelength by shouting causing the area around him to vibrate. The resulting air pressure causes the sand to form into small twisters obscuring him from view every few moments. Without warning his body then sudden rushes forward;kicking up a large amount of sand as he travels. OOC: ----------

Illo Illo nodded, smiling contently at Hakudoshi's apparent concession; he himself taking the hierarchy out of the question simply because his own abilities weren't being as a measuring stick. ... Though being sized up for a future kill, hypothetical or otherwise, wasn't so comforting either. And needless to say Illo was a little surprised at the sudden turn when Hakudoshi went flying back.
The switchover from percent to percent was such a weighty increase that Illo often debated, his mind always running overtime in this state, if he really had control over his current output or not. Certainly the trip to Atlantis had taught him to at least further his capabilities, the powers as they matured becoming more impressive, but it was the control, the sparring gears, which Illo remained bent on mastering in accordance with his devotion to master the Self.
As the monk pondered this Hakudoshi seemed to produce a similar increase in power to his a moment ago--perhaps even more! He tipped his head to the side as his opponent seemed to release his power, or whatever it was he did, finding it fascinating just how many ways there were to increase one's power. As he reached full power Illo responded by falling back into his Wing Chun stance and watching Hakudoshi carefully. The charge was quick, but Illo had enough time to react at such a distance. He made use of his spatial conversion and began to set up a little distortion (which won't have an effect 'til later) and readied his body to try trapping a limb, or something.

☸ ☸ ☸Hakudoshi Gitsune ☸ ☸ ☸ ☸ Sage of The Illuminating Fang As he runs Haku enters a state of mind that helps him channel his strength and concentration for the sole purpose of defeating his opponent. With a static expression Hakudoshi body momentarily shifts out of view,and suddenly appears crouched behind Illo. Unlike most high speed movements, which created some form of audible sound, Hakudoshi's was utterly without sound. It also didn't disturb the air or create vibrations;a trait that Haku worked hard to achieve by training with Lumina. Even though the electrical sync took a moment to achieve Illo had given him plenty of time to complete it. In spite of his lack of inherited power, he can measure with accuracy how much power he should employ and in which area in a split second, relying solely on the instinctive knowledge granted by his fearsome potential. This drastic boost in power would not only allow Hakudoshi to move around without his opposition knowing where it was he intended to relocate,but could in fact put the monk at a disadvantage. From his crouched position, Hakudoshi's tail reaches up to wrap around his opponent's neck like a vice. Should this succeed Hakudoshi would bounce up into the air spinning his victim around wildly;before flinging his adversary head first into the ground.

This caught the monk of guard, highlighting the inherent difficulties and dangers of undetectable movement in combat, and was effective in putting him into the ground. Dust clung to the air lazily until a gust took it away again. Standing there, shaking the pain out of his head and dusting his robe off, was Illo. The attack did hurt him, though proportionally not as much as the initial strike against him before transforming.
"... So, it's going to be like that," sighed the monk as he finished straightening himself out.
After that he vanished instantly, using his teleportation to move beyond the bindings of space-time which would denote speed. As such, the air was split and a small burst of thunder would be uttered from the space Illo once occupied. But of course these would be recognised after Illo had already moved to wherever he was, which happened to be to the side of Hakudoshi, and it would be doubtful that his spiritual energy could be sensed any sooner given the transcendent speed of teleportation. So, while it remained that Hakudoshi's way was effective in eliminating cognition of movement, there was more than one way to the top of that mountain; Illo's speed with this technique being a pinnacle of equal height simply because it was too damn fast for reaction to even be a factor. For this reason Illo liked not to use it in friendly exhibitions like this, and sparingly in real battle; as for the sigh before using it. His attack came in the form of a powerful back wheel kick toward his opponent's head. If he needed to he would follow through with a spinning front crescent kick up to a jumping variation of the same move. Power output

☸ ☸ ☸Hakudoshi Gitsune ☸ ☸ ☸ ☸ Sage of The Illuminating Fang Upon his movement Illo would find something rather strange. Perhaps he was under the assumption the battlefield was under the laws to which he was familiar. Unfortunately he'd forgotten something very crucial. The battle field was not just the sand beneath the monks feet,it was also the dome of chaos above. Outside, it would. appear as glistening checker-patterned fog, and inside the vision is slightly dimmed with burning ember-like shreds flying in the air. Hakudoshi seemed to have distracted the monk from noticing this fact. Where the chaos leaks into the mortal realm, the laws of the physical world are undone. This paradoxical energy seeks to return all existence to the Unseen Realm, but at times it seems to show an almost affection for those who share an affinity with chaos;like Hakudoshi. This affection seemed to take the form of Illo's movement rebounding on himself while keeping him in the same position. The true extent of damage would be unknown as the effects on space and time to the monks chi would be a mystery to the remnant. Hakudoshi moves,and Ren's voice can be heard in Illo's mind.
" So that's it. The connection between you and the witch Paradox;Space Time. How fascinating. Word to the wise Mr.Illo. Try that in this place and you'll likely be lost in time or worse.
" Taking advantage of Illo's failure Hakudoshi launches multiple air strikes from many directions, essentially flying around his opponent hitting him in opposing directions with fast and strong attacks. He then finishes with a powerful chop to the should designed to spike Ilo into the ground.

Illo If he'd known just what the strange energy around him meant, the chaos he sensed as soon as he transformed but dismissed as merely weird, was capable of he might have been more careful to try one-upping Hakudoshi. Of course pure teleportation gave him a serious edge in nearly every fight; it only made sense that anyone willing to challenge him would already account for this. Still, it made the monk spit--not just because the blood in his mouth after Hakudoshi's attack--to think an honorable warrior like this would stoop to dangling his freedom to move as quickly as he wanted in front of Illo's nose!
Hakudoshi would find that hitting Illo was like hitting a big ball of solid steel. His field may have clipped his wings, so to speak, but the Phoenix was still Iron, and there was nothing that could change that. His Qi Gong was perhaps his best ability for this way and its immense utility as an augmenter to both offense and defense. But even so, Illo was behind at this point. He'd taken damage before he even had his Qi Gong to help him, which scored Hakudoshi the most damage of the fight, and now Illo was being chipped away at by his opponent in a most discouraging way. He didn't like to admit it, but it didn't look good for him at the moment. It seemed to be laid out in front of him: start taking this match seriously or get hurt.
"I don't know how we're connected... But I suppose it doesn't matter so much; we all have our Tulpas to face... If only mine were so clear-cut as 'no teleportation.'" Illo was standing back up, picking the sleeves of his robe of his skinny arms as he answered his old acquaintance Ren. "... Why do you do this?" She would know, hopefully, the monk meant this harassment. Ever since the Springs those years ago the Kitsune had been lording over whatever it was she had to lord over the monk: be it her own growth, the strength of pupils willing to take her way of living to heart, his own struggles.
"You're strong," Illo said simple as he finished setting his robe aside. Now he was in a modest tunic, his hair dancing wildly in the blustery wind. "The demons I fought in Bardo, they were of a similar category, but it's always so much different to fight at this level on this plane." He didn't take his eyes off Hakudoshi as he began stretching, waiting for that curious jump to come again.
"... Let's see if you can do that again." At this point Illo sat down in Lotus. His energy seemed to swirl about the area, seeping out of him like ink. If he couldn't directly sense his opponent's movements he thought it might be possible to familiarise himself with the surrounding energy. Whether it was chaotic in nature or not, there was no reason why a man who had to hold infinity in his mind simply to unlock his power shouldn't be able to learn its landscape as well. He would wait for his opponent to make a decision.

☸ ☸ ☸Hakudoshi Gitsune ☸ ☸ ☸ ☸ Sage of The Illuminating Fang Hakudoshi cursed as he felt Ren's presence. Was she interfering? No..... It didn't seem like it. This battle was his...wasn't it? As thier progenitor Ren is able to see through all of her remnants eyes, thus registering separate fields of vision at the same time. With this shared vision, the remnant can coordinate their attacks and provide defences for their blindspots if fighting together. For this reason, the remnants of Ren are strongest when used together, employing combination tactics, the element of surprise, and/or sheer overwhelming power to defeat their enemies. However, Ren had insured she would not interfere and Hakudoshi knew her word was as good as a celestial decree. Still even he wondered what stopped the monk until he'd heard the conversation between the two. What came next kept Hakudoshi from immediately attacking.
" How long do you plan to waste my time with your rhetoric? All I hear from you is empty ideals without the conviction to follow through to the end. I can only assume that you thought that brashly declaring your aspirations would sway the outcome of this conflict in your favor. Your final mistake is the fact that you're nothing more than a fool who believes that a dream alone possesses substance.
Some people believe in greater philosophies and unseen power. It gives them hope, something to look for. But once you make that great mystery seen, reveal is true essence, human kind will throw it away and search for something new. All your frantic efforts were for naught; you have not advanced even a single step closer to me,or your true goal. Besides, what in blazes do you even think you can do if you were somehow able to get to the level you seek? Sinking as low as following one like the Shinigami....you truly disappointed me. Here I thought you were stronger than that.

I can see it in your soul. You demand that I answer because deep down you fear me.
You fear my quiet and unintelligble nature. You fear my composure. My behaviour. You fear me, an animal, for you are a prey for my fangs. You fear me, for I am unknown, and you know nothing of me. You have not seen me truthfully. My face, my name, my identity, my body, all concealed and unknown. You fear me, the nothingness you never venture to uncover. Do you know why you can't reach me? Why, despite your greatest efforts, you are no closer to achieving true understanding? That's because you can't control your chaos. I can see it. The unstable, unconcentrated,but on the bright side, atleast there's another unbreakable obstacle in your life that will slowly, but surely make you go...mad. Can you honestly comprehend that monk?
" As Ren speaks Hakudoshi readies himself. His wavelength makes another appearance shaking the air again,but this time was different. It seemed this release was so immensely dense the pressure it causes instills the sensation of drowning to those in the area. It was if Haku was holding this aspect of the chaos back;resulting in the haze around them getting thicker. As Hakudoshi concentrated, swirls of silver and crackles of white electric energy can be seen around him similar to Illo's prior display. A huge, cloudy, fox-looking shape bellied up behind him before entering his body turning his pupils slitted and more beast-like. He waits for Illo's response to Ren before continuing taking a neutral stance.

Quotes "... You've just proved my point." uttered this mentally before continuing to feel out the energy around him. Contrary to Ren's argument he didn't like doing things that seemed futile; and on both sides it should be clear to see that one cannot simply change Gaul--not with words, anyway. Illo Hakudoshit seemed to be wary of Illo. This made sense on in that it agreed with the rest of the fight thus far, but it was still a little surprising considering the disadvantages the monk had. Someone must have an awfully high opinion of his capabilities to invest such safeguards into a friendly sparring match. Two options immediately present themselves: this was no friendly exhibition; which would agree nicely with the sentiment of "prey for my fangs;" or that Illo's power was so great and; if I may; feared by the organisation that even an innocent sparring session like this should be treated as an unstable reactor.
Whichever one it was, if it was any of these, Illo continued to examine the energies flowing in with even more ferocity. He determined a simple truth in all this: that the energy; whatever it actually was; was a medium of sort first. Realising this, Illo turned his focus inward and strengthened his body even more with the use of his Qi Gong. It seemed as though he had a very small soul now, as it clung to his body like wet clothes.
"... You haven't attacked? You have the advantage; why do you not seize the moment?" He spoke without opening his eyes. Only his third eye was needed to see all he needed. "... Perhaps it is my turn."
Illo began to get up at this point. He wasn't afraid to lose a fight. When he was ready he began running, rather goofily because of so many hours of horse stance, to Hakudoshi. No more tricks; Illo would challenge his challenger to challenge him fairly, and he would start. Power output

☸ ☸ ☸Hakudoshi Gitsune ☸ ☸ ☸ ☸ Sage of The Illuminating Fang " I don't want you to misunderstand. My reason for fighting you now has nothing to do with my mother,or the organizations feelings toward you. Nor did I have any prior foresight to prep this battlefield other than the prevention of outside interference. However, comparing how you are now.....and when you met mother. I must agree that you are lacking something. Being made after your encounter with her I embody parts of Ren in direct opposition to you. Therefore I wanted to see how far we could push each other.
" Upon his opponents movement Hakudoshi would calmly send electrical impulses to his brain and heart releasing the natural limiters on his body as well the sensation of pain. If not for his enhanced state Illo's hard skin would have certainly broken his extremities. While releasing the limiters gave him a few hours the recoil would inevitably cause him to collapse. Hakudoshi intended to end this long before then. With Ren watching he'd take this opportunity to showcase the fruits of his training. He pulls his instinct in closer and waits for Illo to reach him.

Quotes He's letting me have the attack? Fine with me. Illo Illo would take it, what Hakudoshi was offering him. It appears the fight was a showcase of skills after all; Illo not being so keen on the teleportation ban relished the chance to put his hand-to-hand to the test. If Hakudoshi was conceived after Ren met Illo, he surely was more keen on illusions and spacio-temporal conversions; and given Illo never showed Ren his martial arts in full he should have a tremendous advantage here. this was the thought, anyway.
Without breaking stride the monk initiated a stepping side kick aimed high. The foot was drawn back quickly to help prevent his opponent from snagging it. This was repeatable, and if Hakudoshi chose to fall back Illo would continue to keep the pressure on in this way, but if he stood his ground Illo was easily prepared to switch tactics.
