Was is madness then? Seething, cold, ding-a-dong, sing-a-song, click-click-teeth-clattering, body shuddering, Wylfenne felt as they were dansing, and they were, indeed, dancing - in a way - their body moving chaotically and hysterically - why.am.i.such.a.mess and then another round of clicketing as if the clock in their father’s room went in rounds , haunting them and hunting them with its unsophisticated melody – click-a-rick, rack-a-rick – and then suddenly bringing them back to their senses that was a long way to go. Indeed Wouldn’t it be easier if they just stayed here forever. What was that sound? Horses? Horn? The Start? To get lost in the mess of voices and sounds, memories and emotions, just make another useful curve in the pattern, not to think about anything, drift in the direction of home Home? It looked conspicuously like a trap. They had to fight for home. To fight to keep it safe And then Wylfenne opened their eyes. “Aurian?” they whispered, unsure whether it would be possible to peg their existence to someone else, who did not belong to their past, and thus could not drag them back into this aimless drifting through time.

Ah, what? What?
"HEY!"
Fallow's head raised, his heart pounding like a dull and aching pendulum in his chest. Someone was calling to him? Who? "Heyheyhey..." No, stop talking. Shut up. Shut up. Fallow rumbled softly, torn between the waking world and the idea of crossing, going home. The stallion in the mist was gone, and his mind was slowly returning to the present, to the waking world where Dev and Mea were still waiting for him, and where the phoenix still was. The Púca rumbled softly and stumbled, shaking his head as he slowly, painfully woke up from the daze. Something sunk like a stone in his gut - paranoia maybe. Insecurity, suspicion.
Heyhelloheyhey...
A voice echoed somewhere in his skull. It went on and on, a string of wordless voices and sounds; a broken record, a static soundscape that he couldn't understand, couldn't turn off. But there was - there were things to do. He couldn't listen in now. "Devvv ~~ Mea." he crooned softly, and then louder and louder. He wanted to find them, even though that giant ******** phoenix might need to be taken down soon. His tail waved and pulsed a wavering light. He wasn't... wasn't really sure of anything right now.
But he had to do something.
Homehomehome.
Fallow rumbled and shook away the whispers in his head. I will come home, he thought, just not yet.

Dev loved the sensation of running, but she loved the feeling of grass beneath her paws even more. She continued to race across the hills; her eyes glowed a ghostly green against the darkness. The sight of the pack of canines were still tiny, but their eyes—so similar to hers—were a beacon in the night, a set of lights to guide her back home. The word echoed in her mind as she relished the thought with delight. Home. It had been such a long time since she had been able to run through her beloved hills. It felt comforting to see familiar foliage blurring by her as she continued to sprint. Everything felt right. She belonged here.
“Dev…Dev…Dev…? Dev…”
She hadn’t heard the voice a first time. Not even the second time, but by the third and fourth time her ears came to pick up the sound of someone calling out her name. Her ears perked up. It was a voice that didn’t belong to her siblings or her parents, but there was a familiarity about it that the pup couldn’t put her paw on. What was it? The cu sith continued to run, but a scareling could only move with such a burst of speed for so long. Eventually, she slowed to a halt and scratched at her ears.
“Dev…”
There it was again! She dug through her mind, sifting through her memories in a desperate attempt to find the owner of the voice.
“DevDevDev…”
There were two voices now! Repeating her name over and over in an annoying manner.
Dev knitted her brows together as a pair of names tumbled out of her mouth, “Mea? Fallow?” Things clicked together then and this time she continued to run, but not toward her family, toward the voices.
“Mea! Fallow! Ur ye thaur?” she howled, running, running, always running until she stumbled back into reality.

Bix could stay there, in that place, forever. It was just them and the woods and there were no worries. But he heard voices and then.. another voice.
SSSssssnowflake!
It pulled him out like it was a dream.
Bixxxxxx!
Mina's sibilant shrieks cracked through his mind and shattered the wonderful place he'd been in. Fishing, walking, hunting, playing.... And bit by bit it dissolved away.
He realized behind her voice there were others, right on the edge of his consciousness. And he was crying.

(( Insanity Status Effect: You start to hear voices, but are not able to really -understand- what they're saying, your insecurities are suddenly like gaping wounds, sensitive to the least amount of friction or suspicion, paranoia )) The singing. It carried over throughout the entire memory the second time, her mother’s sweet voice filling Sydney’s mind, making even the part where she fell more of a gentle memory than a painful one. Haru no urara no sumida gawa Nobori kudari no funabito ga Kahi no shizuku mo hana to chiru Nagame wo nani ni tatoubeki. She hadn’t even realized that she still remembered her mother’s voice until now. It hadn’t been much after this that she would lose her. That she would be in the back of a black limo, staring out the back window through the pouring rain, wondering what had just happened. But for now, she heard the voice, felt close to her mother--felt LOVED by her mother. But things were changing. The color of the paper thin walls, once an ugly green, kept changing colors on her, and the chair was getting larger and larger, towering over her form until she could barely reach the seat. And someone kept trying to talk to her. It was an annoying voice in the back of her mind, one that she had passed off as a neighbor speaking too loudly at first--until she realized he was saying her name. She hopped, her tiny fingers catching on the edge of the chair-- the voice bellowed. She fell back, dropping onto her bottom and looking around.
“I--Izy,” she said, frowning seriously as she tried to figure out how she knew it.
“Present?” she repeated. The world around her twisted and turned, parts of it turning into gray fog, the rest of it fading entirely. She seemed to grow into herself, finding herself out of the dream.

‘Home’ had little meaning for Marcus in many cases. When he lived with his family he’d spent more time on the street then at his ‘home’. He’d slept there and kept his things there, otherwise he was moving. Running and reading and trying to be normal. Trying to get farther in life. Home was a place he didn’t feel safe or happy. Home back then was just a place to sleep and try not to dream of the things he had seen.
Then he’d moved. Moved into dorms with others like him yet unlike him. He didn’t think of it as home. It was where he slept. Where he kept his things. Granted he spent a good part of his time in his room it didn’t ‘feel’ like home. Finally, just a while later, he’d felt it. He had a home. Unconventional as it was, it felt like home. It felt safe, warm, secure. And it was with her. She made it feel like a home. The island had become his home when she’d kissed him and told him she loved him. It drove him to be worth that love. To work to live up to imagined expectations he thought she had. He didn’t feel wanted. A home was a place where you were wanted to return to every night and Cass- Cass was the first one to want him.
This home his mind was in was trapped. It wasn’t the home he knew. It wasn’t the home he wanted either. He couldn’t go home. If he went home without her would it really be a home? The world began to break apart, and it hurt. He wanted, so desperately he wanted a home. A place where he was accepted, where he was loved and didn’t have to worry about doubt, about shame, about the color of his skin or the money he made. A home where he could go to sleep and not fear the things in dark. He wanted it. He craved it and dreamed of it. He didn’t want to leave but- He made a promise. He couldn’t break it. Marcus didn’t break his promises. The whispering his him mind confused him. Where was Dis? He called out but heard so little. He wanted Dis. He wanted Cass. He could have calm if he stayed but- His heart hurt. Why did it hurt so much? He wanted to stay. He wanted to go. Her name danced in him mind, in and out. Then he’d see her face unable to match it to her name. then- It clicked. It matched.
The phoenix fell back. In falling back, it let them go. In letting go, Marcus was able to see the world around him. In seeing the world around him, he was able to find her again. No hesitation, Dis only warning not to linger as he grabbed her, arms wrapping around her for a quick embrace. “Not without you.” It was a whisper, a chant, a prayer, and promise. He didn’t want to go home without her. She drove him forward, and Marcus would be damned if her left her behind. “I can’t go home, not unless you’re there. Not without you.” She loved him, the first person he believed to. He didn’t want to let that go. He didn’t want to lose that happiness.
It hurt to come back to reality, but it was worth it. It would always be worth that pain if she was waiting for him. “I want to go home Cass.”

Shenny was lost in the corners of her mind, following just one memory over and over again. Though every single time she was reliving it, she heard something: a little noise, two or three sounds mixed together into a harmonic line repeated over and over, as well. As she was making her steps crossing, the noise grew louder and louder, new sounds added forming a beautiful yet sad and nostalgic melody: eventually it became loud enough to distract the ghoul. She was dragged out of her Home, though not completely awaken. It take a long time for the sorceress to finally pull out. So.... that was the insanity they were talking about?.. A chaotic masses of Fear that have lost their forms, a cloud of energy moving only according to some basic instinct and affecting everything around, erasing their forms and minds, like an acid poured on the painting. Shenny must have admit, it was beautiful and pleasant. The effect was sweetly hypnotizing, and if one day every creature should merge with the universal chaos of Fear particles, that probably isn't the worst way to do it: just like diving into an endless dream of no return. The phoenix let her go, but the traces of insanity were still affecting her: she could hear the echoes of the voices and melodies she couldn't understand, she was scared, feeling sick, insecure; the ghoul felt almost like screaming, and then, absolutely emotionless next moment. (( OOC: Attacks: 0/1 Pockets: FEAR First Aid kit Character Name: Shenny HP: 25/30 Target: n/a Damage: n/a Effect: INSANITY STATUS EFFECT x 4 days. Number of People Currently Attacking Me: 0/3 )) APPEARANCE Shenny is a reaper ghoul, her face covered with tattoos; thin, very pale, black-haired with blue eyes.

Zar'd been in his own contented little world of peace and tranquillity. A time without stress or pain, without pressure from his parents. Without anything but him and Nuru, peaceful forever. Even as logic intruded, as it insisted that he wake up, that he stop this dreaming, he fought it. He was tired of the constant paranoia, tired of not knowing what to believe. Tired of fighting.
The only thing that led him forward, led him onwards to reality was the thought that the Nuru here wasn't the real one. That HIS Nuru, the one that mattered above all else was out there somewhere and possibly in danger.
So he fought it, he shook off the blissful memories.
He came back.
Reality sucked.

Tybalt awoke slowly, his head spinning. He could hear so many people talking, all at once, their chatter mostly beyond his capability of understanding. There was laughter, sorrow, rage, loneliness in the voices and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't tune them out.
"Shut up! I can't think!" He snapped, but as if in response, the voices only grew louder, more frantic, causing the black dog to panic. What were they all going on about!? That was when they saw the phoenix. It was aiming for a portal..? Realization struck him. Was this the hunters plan!? To wipe out them next, by sending this abomination to their home!? It seemed plausible to the black dog, but little did he know that it was paranoia speaking for him.

Willow's happy moments somehow slowly turned, the tide reminding her of what was going on. From the happy moment of catching her first kill, to hunters laughing. Suddenly the tigress was back in the cage she'd seen back in the haunted house. Everyone laughing.
Her fur bristled, something was trying to make her snap out of it. The dreams were mixing together, the Horsemen and the Hunters together taking over the world before suddenly there was the gun pointed in between her eyes. "No.... no you can't do this." She growled trying to swat it away before BAM, BLAM. Twice for good measure.
Willow's eyes snapped open she was staring at the phoenix. Her fangs bared as she shook her head. Trying to clear it, there was a voice. Something... laughing? Talking? She couldn't tell or understand but it made her angry. Snapping at the flowers and vines from her hindquarters she suddenly snapped her head towards something that didn't exist. "YOU."

(( Insanity Status Effect: You start to hear voices, but are not able to really -understand- what they're saying, your insecurities are suddenly like gaping wounds, sensitive to the least amount of friction or suspicion, paranoia )) Roch threw his head back and howled, proud of his imitation howl even as the people around him started laughing--wait. The laughter sounded wrong--tinny, as if it was a recording. If anyone could tell the difference between real laughter and a recorded soundtrack it was Roch. He looked at Bones, seeing something wrong, there, as well. The skeleton looked flat--like a drawing. “Bones?” he said, reaching over. His hands touched paper--paper which crumbled into dust under his fingertips, falling to the steps. Roch stared at the dust that had fallen in horror, watching as the wind blew it away. Everything--everything was starting to smolder, gently falling into dust all around him, leaving him standing in the middle of what seemed like a windstorm. The twelve year old boil looked up, halfway expecting another dream to start--or to see his father heading for him, which had happened soon after this scene-- But nothing happened. The dust twisted around his feet, coming up and forming hints of faces he knew so well, hands reaching to touch his face, his arms, his guitar. Then they faded into gray fog, leaving him standing all alone, surrounded by nothing except fog. He almost wanted to live through the fight that followed, the shouting match with his father in front of the entire neighborhood, the hurt that had lingered under the surface of both of them. He had deliberately went to the block party when his father called, not wanting to spend time with him--not wanting to deal with the same stunted arguments that always happened. Maybe, though... maybe if he had known then what he knew now-- A voice whispered behind him and the punk boil turned, looking for the speaker. He knew that voice--Vegas’s deep drawl. A hint of a grin pulled at his lips--not that he had forgiven his grandfather entirely, but he could use a familiar face-- There was no one there. Roch was lonely. Empty. Being left by the dream--the insanity, not that he realized what it was, was the same as if his friends had abandoned him. The ones he had grown up relying on, calling to, playing with. He sunk into himself, his hands tightening on Desiree as he tried to come up with some sort of understanding. Only part of him realized that he was standing with the others now, surrounded by both students and hunters. He took a deep breath, then another, trying to get his head on straight. Focus. You can go home after this--your real home. If you want, you can even go hang out with your dad. Remember? He focused on that thought, the world finally coming into focus for him. For now he could at least go back to Amity.

The sound of crazed laughter clawed through Herryk's mind. He felt dazed, confused, out of sorts. What was going on? What had happened? Why was he still here? He felt betrayed. He felt outraged. He felt as if he'd been lied to. This was not home. This was the same island they'd been on before. He could hear the crash of waves far below him. He could feel the warmth of the sun on his shoulders.
There was no acrid smell of old, clotted blood. There was no blade in his hand. There were no bodied piled up at his feet, screaming for a benevolent end to their pain. No crimson coating his hands, there was nothing that he'd been lead to believe there would be. No, there were only other students staggering around, cursed false reapers, too. The phoenix had returned, though it circled disjointedly around two portals; the one he'd arrived through and another - glowing blue.
Each time that the bird dipped towards one, it was pushed back towards the other. Herryk bared his teeth. He slowly came to his feet, took a step forward.
Why does it matter if you make it home, hmm? Why does it matter if you return back to the school? There is nothing for you there. In fact, your ghoulfriend has probably already found another boil. One better than you in every way.
Herryk paused and rubbed his head. The voices were loud, piercing and insistant. Impossible to ignore no matter how he tried. He was already feeling the loss of home - the home he'd been promised, that he'd been lured with. And now there was a strange sensation that he would never be as strong as he wanted, as bold or as honorable as he desired.
With a low, feral growl, Herryk pushed forward. No, he had to make it home. Home to Freya, home to Amityville. He didn't want everything to end like this; he didn't want the phoenix to make it through the orange portal that glowed softly with the true promise of home.

He could hear someone calling to him, but he didn't answer. Things finally felt normal again... If he could just stay here, with the ones he cared about, he'd be happy. Unfortunately, reality wasn't so kind and gave him little choice in the matter. The voice persisted until finally, he awoke with a start, eyes staring up at the very phoenix they had been fighting before.
So it really had been just a dream...
The pain of loss was followed with the soft whispering that had woken him up. He couldn't make it out. It was far too quiet that it was barely even audible. So quiet in fact, that shortly after, it was drowned out by several other voices, all of which assaulted his ears with different emotions. Panicked, he flinched back, clutching at his head as he willed them to go away. They were yelling at him now. About what? He didn't understand, but the more they yelled, the more unsure he felt and that his head felt as though it head was going to split in two.

Someone was calling for him interrupting his 'safe haven' where nothing felt wrong or out of the ordinary anymore. He wasn't arguing with anyone he wasn't accidentally hurting anyone with thoughtless words but someone needed him - they were calling for him and so when his consciousness bobbed to the surface it was a bit like recovering from drowning. Kettil let out a sudden gasp of air and bent forward coughing harshly.
Endy? Was that his Familiar trying to call him forward? Kettil wasn't sure. He felt as if he was trembling all over and his limbs refused to stay still.
It was like...
He couldn't quite put a finger on it but he just knew that now that he was aware of himself again and awake he didn't feel right anymore. Something was nestled deep inside him and he couldn't get it out or shake it.
..Oh what had he done? What is going on?
