Rora watched the stupid fire start to really burn, and cursed it. Still, she wriggled closer to it and stretched out. When Sim left, she'd noticed and was about to peer around for the boy and be glad of Ronin's presence... she noticed he wasn't there either.

Damn. Not only was she stuck with URA, she'd lost the kid. He hadn't gone off to protect the camp, had he? Aurora stood up, and peered around for Ronin. She felt horrible, but she hadn't expected him to just walk off quietly like that. Aurora would have expected him to say something.

"Ronin?" Aurora called, as she left the safety and warmth of the fire and headed into the forest. She picked up a stick, and called again, "Ronin, where'd you go?"

As Ronin heard the call he was somehow shaken out of his thoughts and he simply waited for waking up. 1...2....3..nothing seemed to happen. This dream could last longer as he had expected.

So he more or less sneaked up to the Princess and was close to touch her shoulder as suddenly something felt different. Wow...she was really beautiful. Why didn't he notice that before ?

Blood seemed to rush into his face as he tried to pronounce a simple word. "Here..." And after noticing his stupid attempt of talking he repeated the word in a firmer voice. "I'm here, Princess Rora."

Would he wake up now ? What would she say to his new appearance ?

Aurora continued to peer through the trees, not realyl liking the idea of leaving the last flickering light from the camp fire too much. It was far away now, but the trees were thin enough for it to be able to get through.

That voice, although weak and squeaky, made Aurora jump. Then it was lower, and she turned around fully expecting to see Ronin standing there with a big stick or something, pretending to be grown up.

...huh?!

"Who are YOU?" Aurora demanded in a very loud voice, taking a step back and grabbing out at a stick. She waved it at him, "And where's Ronin?!"

Ronin was quite startled as she turned around and he had to keep his eyes from staring at her front. What was going on with him ? If possible he would have slapped himself right now, but he was quite occupied with the stick she was waving.

"I'm Ronin. Don't you see Princess Rora ?" He moved his head in a quite vertical position and tried to look at her in the darkness. His mind felt dizzy, because he somehow wished that she would hit him with the stick so he could wake up. And his own voice sounded a bit different...strangeness.

The only person who'd called Rora that was Ronin... but she wasn't exactly ready to say 'Oh, of course you are. How silly of me!' just yet. True, she'd grown, but still it was hard to believe that he or anyone would as well. Especially so soon after everything else.

"Not really, no. It's too dark to see anything." Aurora stepped back, in the direction of the campfire. "Maybe we better go to the fire... um. Yea. To the fire."

She continued to step back, tripping over her own feet in her haste. Aurora stumbled and fell on her behind, dropping the stick at the same time. "I'm good, I'm good... was fun, really! Fire's that way."

Rora pointed in the right direction feebly from the ground, hoping he'd continue in that direction while she found her feet again.

"Sure." Ronin said quickly and his blue eyes followed the so-called princess. She seemed so insecure out of sudden, not as strong as before. Perhaps it was because he was as big as her now ? Or at least almost...

He moved to step back to the fire as the teen sensed a sudden movement beside him. Unfortunately he wasn't quick enough to catch her because of the darkness, but of course his courtesy didn't allow him just to stand still.

"May I help you up ? I hope you're alright." He added still trying to control his ever changing voice. One of his hands moved close to Aurora's face as he bend down.

Aurora muttered something under her breath, about teeangers and thinking they knew all. Like the one sittign at the fire already. But she took Ronin's hand and let him help her up again. Aurora didn't let go for a few moments, staring into Ronin's face as she somehow managed to tell him, "Thankyou."

Then she broke the moment by letting go and leading the way towards the fire again. Once there, Aurora sat down on a log and looked at her hands.

...even if it WAS Ronin, he was acting strange. Rora didn't know if she trusted people who changed in a few moments, did she?

Ronin just blinked several times as he pulled her up and received her thanks. Luckily the blush didn't came back and he was slightly gaining control over the situation. Well enough...but somehow it appeared to him that this dream was lasting too and tasted too real to be a dream.

Damn it...

He obidiently followed the older Simu towards the fire and glanced at Ura for a moment. His eyes trailed towards his sword for a moment and a pleased smile crossed his face as he sat down on a log beside Rora. She wouldn't have problems with him sitting there, would she ?

It appeared difficult to him that he was even thinking about it. Beforehand he just hadn't cared, but now his stomach felt different. Indeed he decided that his stomach was guilty, while his brain needed to start working again. He would just behave like always...or at least try to.

"If you're tired you can sleep, princess. I'll stay awake and will protect you." Ronin added with a trustworthy tone and pointed at his new possession. His face seemed more serious than before.

Once he was back in the light of the fire, Rora looked up. He did look like Ronin, if not a lot taller and more... grown up. Defiantly grown up, he was a teenager now. With hormones and things.

And a dagger that had apparently grown into a sword.

Dirty thoughts crossed into Rora's mind, and she flushed from embarrassment. That wasn't a good way to think, not about a teenager. Not about the little sweet hearted Ronin.

Rora looked up, and stared at his sword again. "Hmm? Oh... I'm not really tired, I think." That was also a lie. She was exhausted, and her mind's swirling thoughts weren't really under control. Rora got off the log, and leaned against the side of it instead so that if she did fall asleep, she wouldn't fall off the log. "When did you grow?"

Ronin didn't dare to look at her at first, because she was probably not fond of him staring. And he definately had to keep himself from staring, because out of sudden she seemed...interesting in a new way.

The young teen looked up again as she looked at him as well and a faint red appeared on his cheeks. Damn it, how could she look at him like that ?

"Alright." He commented on her answer and watched her sliding off the log. Looked like she didn't want him to sit near anymore. Perhaps he looked all freaky now and she was scared ? Sounded reasonable to him, because he was just able to see his new clothes and didn't know anything about his facial features and such.

"I don't know how long it's ago. I stepped onto this bird island...it was the most beautiful island ever." He stopped for a moment and smiled slightly, before becoming firm again. "I found the sword there and out of sudden I felt different. A lot of things feel different now...but don't worry, I don't have problems with it." Ronin added quickly and looked at her while talking, because it's inpolite to do otherwise...although he was quite embarassed.

"You mean the part at the end of the island? I guess we need to go there again, so you could show us the way tomorrow." Aurora grinned. "It sounds... yea. Things always feel really weird when you grow up. I'm still not used to this. I only grew yesterday though."

And she didn't have much trouble talking with Ronin either, Rora noticed. She didn't before... but it wasn't like talking to a child either. Aurora's eyelids started to droop, as she attempted to stay awake. She'd been thirsty earlier, but she was too tired to care right now. Maybe in the morning... "You didn't happen to see any water while you were walking, did you? Fresh water?"
PostPosted: Thu Jun 02, 2005 9:04 am

"Exactly that part. I'd be glad to show you, Princess." Ronin added as he observed her behaviour quite interested. She seemed very exhausted and tired to him and she had problem with keeping her eyes open. Didn't she trust him that she doesn't want to sleep ? He would really protect her and all the others without a problem. After all he was stronger and taller now and he owned the sword.

As he listened to her words he got up immediately. "I probably have some orange juice in my package. Mom gave me a bottle for the cruise..." It felt embarassing to talk about Lena or thinking about his family at all, but he moved towards the suitcase he had rescued from drowning anyway.

After pulling out the small bottle he returned to Rora quickly and kneeled down in front of her handing the bottle. "I hope you like it. Otherwise I could go and try to find a clear river...waterfall...something like this."

"Good." Aurora grinned, and reached out to squeeze his hand with her own. Even if he was grown, he was still a sweet hearted boy. Teenager. Whatever.

"No, wa...darn." Aurora watched him rush off, and remembered her own bags. She'd left them somewhere with all of her clothes hanging to dry. ...she had to get up?

Maybe later.

"I can't take your juice... it's yours, and you might get thirsty." Aurora shook her head, gently pushing the bottle at him again. "I'd feel horrible if I drank it all on you, when you needed it."

(( I have to leave now and get ready for cinema biggrin ))

Ronin hesitated as she squeezed his hand and blushed hardly.

He listened to her words and shook his head, grinning in a very cute way. "No problem." The teen wanted her to drink it, she was thirsty and she was a woman. He could survive without it anyway.

So he opened the bottle and sipped some of the orange juice before handing it to Rora. "Now I'm not thursty anymore and you can have it. I don't want it back." He commanded and pushed it into her hand, before sitting down beside her again. Being bigger was good...

Aurora grinned back, she couldn't exactly push it towards him a second time. Besides, she was a lady. Ladies deserved to be taken care of and pampered. "Oh... well, how about I only have half and you have the other half? We need the energy tomorrow to find fresh water, after all."

She sipped it slowly, and Rora even leaned against Ronin's leg. She couldn't help it. She was tired, and he was soft and warm, and Rora had enough Kia in her to know when to do the cuddle thing.
