Jordan was like, some kinda amazing hero-angel come from on high to save them from all the s**t.
"Yeah!" Harrison called back, "Me and half the trainees on the island, although most of them wandered off. You see any way to get us back up?"

"I brought a rope," Jordan called. "Your text sounded like a rope might be good to bring along. Give me a minute to find something to tie it to."
He looked around, finally settling on a pipe running up the wall as the nearest and sturdiest option; he tied one end of the rope around it in a sailor's knot, then tossed the other end of the rope down into the hole that had been the kitchen floor. "Incoming!"

Marcus hated everything. Why? because when he saw light, heard the ocean? He was crushed to find the path was blocked.

He was pretty sure it was luck. Pure simple, dumb luck. He'd managed to find his way out, and judging from where he was, the ocean was a bit off course to the dorms. The dorms which would probably crammed full of s**t covered trainees. Nope. Do not want. Going to the back of the dorm building he flung off his jacket, shirt, shoes, socks and pants. He was in his underwear but he really, really did not care.
Grabbing the hose, ice water or not, he wanted to get the s**t off of him ASAP. He was going to order a new coat. He could do that right? His clothes he'd burn. But for now? Ice hose shower.

Harrison looked at Rep, and anyone else lingering around. It wasn't really in his nature to volunteer to wait in life-threatening situations, but...he looked hopelessly at his clothes. They'd need a new rope by the time he finished climbing.
He also didn't feel like stripping down in a sewer, for a lot of reasons. But he was low on options. He decided to compromise. It would mean a hand-over-hand rope climb, but he could handle it. He'd done it before.
Just not after who-knows-how-long of sword swinging.
"Give me a second!" he said, working his way out of his coat. His brand new coat. This was a hell of an initiation for it. But maybe it was for the better. After this point, there just was simply nothing worse he could do to it.
He peeled off his shirt too, and wiped his hands on what semi-dry parts of the shirt interior he could find, then tied it up in his coat like a rucksack. B0nez he secured in his sash. One sword stayed out, in case.
He left the security gate, and waded out to the rope, keeping an eye on the monster globs.
"Alright, I'm coming up!" He called to Jordan, and then to Rep, "...Watch uh, watch my back okay. In case anything... Just don't get eaten while I'm climbing."
He secured the second sword, and started his way up.

Clarice arrived in coveralls with a searchlight, a contamination crew of Life hunters, and a worried expression. Approaching Jordan, she asked, a bit terse, "Status?"

Rep gave Harrison an utterly baffled look. He didn't actually understand /why/ the other man started to strip off. The sun hunter wasn't a very logical individual when it came down to matters of survival, and as such wasn't actually on the same train of thought as Harrison. He wasn't even at the same station.
He stared. He stared for a good long few moments. "Er... Harr...Harrison..?"
Probably would have been more helpful if he'd fended off the blobs. But nudity, even semi-nudity tended to derail him completely. He sort of vaguely wandered over to the rope.
"Er.. Okay I'll erm. Watch your..back."
He waited his turn.
He was possibly still staring.

Jordan kept a hand and an eye on the rope, watching the knot; he was pretty sure he'd gotten it tied securely, but he wasn't taking any risks while anyone was climbing. He nodded to Clarice when she arrived. "Harrison and Rep are down there; Harrison says there were other trainees with them, but that most of them wandered off. I just arrived myself, so I can't tell you anything further; sorry, ma'am." He moved back to be out of the way.

Wait, were there people coming for them? WERE THEY TO BE RESCUED?
Dillon watched Julie get pulled out of the abyss they were in, bursting with euphoria that they were saved. Except no, the rope ladder and the rescue party had disappeared, leaving the rest of them in the sewers.
Thankfully, the gate was unlocked and they were free to find their way out. FREEDOM AT LAST?
The mist trainee ran through the sewers, trying not to think of the stench. Unfortunately, it was growing stronger and stronger until -

The memories of the last mission came flooding back as he ran through the sewers.
Don't think about it, this is a safe facility, he assured himself.
OR WAS IT?
Half a dozen pairs of glowing eyes stared at him and the trainee just turned heel and ran.
No more... just... no more...

Nodding, Clarice thanked Jordan and began to issue the crew instructions, "Set up in the hall and notify the Moon's construction lead of the situation. Contact the secondary team, have them go through the grounds for clean-up spots and stray trainees. Have two go through the trainee showers, there's bound to be a few there. Have the others grab a map of the underground system and sweep, starting at the known exits and working toward the center." Turning back to Jordan, the kitchen, and the tightly pulled rope, Clarice's expression softened, and she turned the searchlight on, and carefully set it to light at an angle rather than directly down, "Harrison? William?"

THE OCEAN. WAS HE FREE AT LAST?
Alas, the iron gate barred him from exiting, a four digit code standing in his way. It took ages just to get through the previous gate, and there simply wasn't time to go through all 9^4 permutations.
There had to be another exit .....

Just do it fast. The longer it took, the more tired he'd be. This hand, over that hand, over this hand... the chocolate made him heavier than usual.
But the alternative was ruining the rope, or falling right back down into the sewer. And Rep didn't sound like he was getting mobbed by chocolate monsters, so that was good. He did hear a different voice.
"Clarice? ...You up there too?"
Finally, it started getting lighter. He dragged himself up past the ruined floor to where Jordan and Clarice and a bunch of other hunters were waiting. He looked...well. Very brown.
"I can't tell you," he panted, "how glad I am to see you guys."
