"I can take you to the river. I can also go sniff something out and catch it too or you can either way is fine by me. Although I wouldn't want you to overwork yourself." She replied to Roza. Strongheart then walked towards the den entrance, looking back at Roza and waited for her to follow.

Roza followed Strongheart, still feeling very weak. "I think it will take a few weeks before I am in shape to catch anything decent," she said glumly.

Strongheart padded out of the den and started walking in the direction of the river. She sniffed the air as she walked, trying to pick up the scent of anything that might make an adequate meal for her and Roza. She picked up the scent of some rabbits and squirrels. The squirrel scent seemed to be closer and in the direction of the river, although Strongheart knew that squirrels were tricky to catch. She then decided she would track the squirrels and headed towards the river, all while looking on the ground and in the trees for the squirrels. "There are some squirrels this way. I smell rabbit, though the squirrels smell closer. I can try to catch some fish in the river, yet I'm not sure how exactly I'll do that." Strongheart told Roza.

Roza smiled, not saying that a few squirrels or rabbits would do the trick after not really eating in so long. "It is easy to catch fish, all you have to do is stand in the river with your mouth open and not make any noise, then when a fish swims under your neck. You snap your jaws quickly! Then you have fish!" Roza was an expert on fishing because the mountains have a large river. She yawned and stretched, dashing up to Strongheart quickly.

Strongheart continued walked towards the river and once she saw the river she quickened her pace a bit. When she reached the river she looked at the fish swimming in the water before getting a quick drink. After she was finished drinking she crouched over the water, her jaws open and ready to try to catch a fish.

Roza drank some and watched Strongheart closely, noting her advice being put into use.

Strongheart waited and once she saw a fish swimming towards her jaws, she waited for the right moment and locked her jaws around a fish. She then tossed the slippery, flip-flopping fish onto the ground behind her and looked over at Roza saying happily, "It worked. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to catch one on my first try, but I did. I'm guessing you could probably catch quite a few in a small mount of time?"

Roza smiled and waded out into the river and waited, in the same amount of time it took Strongheart to catch one fish, she had caught three large ones. Her tail wagged happily as she fished, running through her personal cycle of fishing.

Strongheart watched Roza and then said, "You're really good at catching fish. I guess it takes time and practice to get good at it. And on that note, I'm assuming you've been fishing for quite some time, no?"

Roza nodded, "Ever since I was a pup, my mother she..." Roza closed her eyes and tried not to cry, "she taught our whole pack how to fish, but I had been the best out of them all, despite my youth." Roza gave up and decided Strongheart should know who she was, "My parents were the Alphas of my pack-" her voice choked and she struck and caught another fish.

Strongheart watched as Roza caught another fish after listening to what she had said. Strongheart then asked, "So you're a pack leader's daughter?" she then added, "I know what it's like to lose a parent, well truthfully I was abandoned by my mother and never knew my father... I guess I don't know what you're going through. Sorry..."

Roza nodded solemnly, "Yes...they trained me well. But I didn't expect to lose them so soon, I was the only one to survive from my mother's first litter. They all died a few days after birth." Roza swallowed as she spoke, her voice dropping to a near whisper. "I loved them so much and I had to watch their lives be taken for my safety." Roza's tail struck the water suddenly, hitting a fish on the head roughly and it floated belly up. Her eyes began to glow a feral red. "That human and his dog died for their deeds," her voice had become a growl as she reflected on that day.

Strongheart flinched back a bit, however, looked at Roza in understanding, saying, "I too was the only pup to survive from my litter, though I feel that my mother may have killed the others... If that's the case I have no clue as to why she didn't kill me as well. She didn't care for me much and that's why she abandoned me as a pup... But you were lucky to have loving parents that didn't say horrible things about you......"

Roza sees Strongheart flinch and takes a deep breath, centering herself before she lost her temper again. "Well this should be plenty of fish," and trots back to shore where she had thrown the fish. She sat next to the pile and divided them in half. She shook herself to get some water off, her skin and fur still hanging loosely where muscles had once been.
