Tess nodded, chiding herself for having forgotten the other ghoul's name. "Ah, yes, Levi," she smiled, despite the unnerving situation. "I-I'm fine. As fine as you can be in this kind of... establishment," she gulped. She was about to explain she was intending on leaving when the other ghoul began to drop not so subtle hints of wanting to venture further up the horrendously glittering stairs.
Oh Jack.
It was as if time slowed down and a million voices screamed in unison. At Tess. For being so slow and taking her sweet time in trying to flee and now that window of opportunity has slammed shut right on her fingers. At the mention of guts, Tess' eyes darted down to the hem of her dress-shirt, "Oh, I do indeed have guts," she chuckled weakly. "G-guess this means we go up? U-um, after you," she gestured with a small smile that didn't come with teeth.

Muka’s interest in the boils up ahead, or more precisely the strix’s enthusiasm for any one individual that crossed their path, was quickly becoming a habit that defined the strange boil. He was, ironically, exactly how she had once been, some time before her arrival at Amityville or perhaps, at the very least, a few weeks into her first semester...Blissfully unaware of the social norms that society adhered, graceful, charming, comedic. In a way, watching him freely roam the corridor with his long arms stretched out and hugs welcomed even by the most tentative of teens, sparked jealousy within her. She had lost so much of herself over the past year…where had the good old days gone, when it was NATALIA who bounced around with her hands in butt pockets and lips all over the fingers and arms of strangers? For a moment her eyes glazed over in heavy thought, a pouty expression filling out her bottom lip until it poked out completely, overlapping the top ever so slightly. The look would have drawn quizzical glances and curious inquiries—but hopefully none would be quick enough to catch it.
Soon after a low rumbling came from deep within her throat, never lacking in femininity or charm despite its purpose; A growl of sorts, meant to silently reprimand the tall, limber lemur ghoul who swayed confidently with every tactful step. Sure, she no longer had that ‘cute’ factor…not that it suited her anyway. Whisper was cute. LW was cute. Natalia was sexy. In fact, Natalia had sex appeal; the sort that came with a grizzly title, but also the sort that drew in a different type of crowd. The kind of kids Natalia seemed to be enjoying thus far, Sarias’ brilliant blue hair wiping past her orange sights for a second before turning into the white hand that Merry possessed.
It was around the same time that Vero took her tail and shoved it into his shorts. It stole her attention for a moment, looking over her shoulder to lift a brow curiously at the boil…but she was distracted more so by the hand on her forearm than the tail that stuck out from the nature spirits pants. She had experienced worse…
Eyes that flicked up toward the newly introduced face of the chimera held a look of surprise, heavily due to her being so deep in thought. There came another noise out of Natalia as her pale skin was brushed by soft fur, a purr of sorts that was not meant for Merry specifically…but could have easily been taken as a sign of approval as her arm was interlocked with the hoofed individual. And as they continued to walk, the werelemur was not about to shake the other ghoul off or question motives. She figured she knew why the chimera was clinging to her, letting a smile tug at the ends of her lips, and in response she brought herself a bit closer and murmured something beneath her breath—words that not even Merry would be able to hear, despite their close proximity. What was said about the two ghouls amongst the group they walked with went over Natalia’s head; she was content in the arms of this stranger, just as she would have been with any other. Being attached to Merry, however, only seemed to heat the connection between them.
Before they reached the others, the lemur leaned over that much more and whispered into Merry’s ear. “I will need your number before we leave this house…” Settling back into a straightened posture, feet slowing steadily, Natalia grinned even wider and winked before turning her attention to…
To….
……………….
She might as well have been asleep through the entire fight, having spent most of it hanging around those who also chose to let the battle be between the stronger few in the room. She probably waved her arms around too much, flailed her body this way and that in an attempt to MAYBE get in there and hack at the roots…but all in all, her attempts were back behind limited effort, and soon she just settled for quivering and biting her nails in fright!
And when all was said and done and the fight…supposedly won? Natalia stirred from slumber with an outrageous amount of pain coming from the front of her face, rear lifted high above her fallen head. “Ow…” She grumbled, lifting up off the ground with a single hand placed gently over her forehead. The throbbing became violent when her thoughts stopped whirling around, particularly when she tried to focus on the tiny insect boil in front of her. Vero was talking, Edel may have said something...but all of the words were drowned out by a painful ringing in her ears. Slumping over her knees, the ghoul stayed where she was for a long time...
About to roll onto her side...
When she felt a sudden tug on her tail, more pain surging as her face slid across the ground. Up and onto her feet, Natalia nearly ripped the shorts Vero wore in her attempt to free the tail, lips forming a straight line in discontent. "Hey! You could have woken me up first you know!?!..." Her eyes were heavily upon the insect...but only for a moment, softening some when she caught sight of those BIG. a**. EYES.
Which, whether or not Vero looked her way, could be seen no matter which angle you caught.
Brushing herself off, the monster huffed before standing upright and taking her tail into her hand. "Where to now?"
((OMG I AM SORRY YOU GUYS. CATCH UP))

The Frez Drah moaned as he stirred from his position on the haunted house floor. He had hit his head pretty hard on the ground; grumbling, he sat up and looked at everyone else. It seemed they had all already woken up before him and were getting their bearings. The spot on the back of his head ached dully, reminding him of the old wound on his hairline. Fuaire let out a low hiss through clenched teeth as the Frez Drah anger welled up inside him.
Not far off, a strange creature had appeared to Poke. Ever since the bunny incident, her behavior had been knocked a bit, ah, off-kilter for a Halloween denizen. Hugging? A morbid attraction to all that was cute, fuzzy and with huge shining eyes?
What is wrong with her?

Xiu rubbed her temples, looking a little groggy as she staggered to her feet when Poke let go. "Sleeping powder, huh...?" That would explain a lot. She was in the middle of a yawn when the sound of yipping reached her ears, and she quickly looked towards her companions. Realizing that both Poke and Mitsu were staring at something, the Baku turned to do the same.
W-well, what a fluffy little creature. She blinked down at the puppy, neither approaching it nor backing away. It didn't look very threatening, and at least it wasn't an eye-searing shade of pink, but that high pitched yipping of it's...
Letting out a little groan, she bent down and offered Mitsu a hand. "I...guess we should keep going?" She looked towards Shun for confirmation--he had been leading their group earlier afterall--before she noticed that Fuaire had awakened from the corner of her eye. "...H-how are you feeling?"

..What exactly was she supposed to do with this thing? Poke was feeling rather confused, but eventually she came to a decision. "Okay...just...buzz off" she made shooing motions with her hands. "get" "...aroo?" it tilted it's head "Come on..just go away." this time she started nudging it with her foot, but it started to play with her shoes. "...Please?" "yip! yip!" This was starting to get frustrating. "For the last time.. please, just go away. Now it was snuggling against her leg, yawning and looking as if it was going to take a nap on her foot "I SAID GO THE JACK AWAY YOU STUPID FURBALL!!" Poke shouted at the top of her lungs, and this time the pup ran away whimpering and yelping in fright "...And now I feel like a a**" At least she had remembered the company she was in, otherwise she would of used 'mongrel' instead.

This wasn’t cool. At all. He ducked his head, leaning awkwardly as he was escorted down the hallway by his ear, a low growl rumbling in the back of his throat the entire time. It was like a motor that just kept going. Probably because he kept getting himself into situations that were less than stellar. “I’m not compensating for anything,” he protested loudly. He twisted his tail around to hit Demi in the head. Was it hard to cross your arms and look like you’re not being childish at this angle? Yes. But it didn’t stop Faint from at least trying.
The insect boil helped him make his case, and he was quite thankful for it as he flailed his arms. “See! No cuddling whatsoever.” Well, maybe a little cuddling. A little nuzzling here and there. But that wasn’t his fault. He’d just woken up from an involuntary nap! He answered the hound’s question with a hard stare. Maybe. So what?

Ulmuka simply snickered and followed the boils. He offered his hands to Vero and Edel once again, happy to find another so willing to cling together. The bug spirit had an interesting aura and Muka visibly seemed to be leaning in strangely.
The hallway seemed to narrow a bit as they exited the room and now, instead of pink, the walls were sunny yellow. Bright smiling suns covered the cieling and paintings of smiling flowers covered the walls.
It was almost blinding. The sounds of cheerful warbling birds filled the air.
Ulmuka let out a low shriek of displeasure and blinked his eyes unevenly in response. "Stay on your toes!" Nothing crazy had happened in a few minutes.. so it was inevitable.

Levia had found herself sleeping longer than intended. Alongside the strange air that had bombarded the group, her muscles were unused to the new motions when it came to pummeling the vines, and they needed that little extra time to come to terms with it, undead or not.
Sitting up slowly, hair mocking gravity by sticking up every which way, Levia patted herself off and was pleased to find none of the glitter balls had directly hit her. The path had been opened, and so she began to follow after the others, mumbling to herself as she went, "Since when do critters have such bad dealing with glitter. Probably sold their souls to a fairy."

The little spirit jolted as Natalia reclaimed her tail, and it turned to her almost sheepishly. "My apologies," it said, its antennae tilting backwards, much like in the fashion of a guilty dog. "You looked peaceful when asleep. We are moving along now to avoid more plants."
And it had thought the tail-tucking plan genius. But many things seemed plausible in theory - field testing was what divided the possible from impossible.
Either way, Vero offered Natalia one of its hands, a second taking Mooka's extended one, third offered to Edel, and a fourth gestured to the newly awoken Levia. "Will you come with us? Numbers usually come with safety." Or was it the other way around? Hum.
Either way, Vero was clearly wanting to surround itself with bigger people, whether students or visitors. If anything, the strix's strange attentions to it was a positive thing.
"What would you be compensating for?" the little spirit asked Faint as the hallway filled with songbirds - it shuddered in response as it moved forward. "You are clearly tall enough and visibly muscular."

The cackling of Ulmuka was indeed a annoying sound to Damien, having to restrain himself from trying to strangle the avian boil. At least he wasn't trying to cling to his face or whatever he was doing with the Bug spirit and Edel. Demi was sure he was allergic to him since his nose started to itch after the boil grabbed his shoulder.
As much as he wanted to snicker at Vero and his inability to read between the lines, Damien kept his mouth shut. It wasn't like he was going to say it bluntly to the spirit, if anything he excepted Ulmuka to do it for him with no sense of tact.
But the grumbling from the were tiger that sounded like thunder rolling overhead was much more pleasing to the mischievous demon dog. He knew he shouldn't be doing it, but it wouldn't stop him and it was simply.
Just too much fun messing with him. He listened to Faint's protest before he felt a solid bop on his head and let out a bark at the offensive limb. Demi wished his tail could be used for things like that other than just merely sweeping things, the tail in question started to make lazy swishes from left to right.
"Right, sure your not compensating." he agreed with the hound in his sarcastic honeyed tone, before coughing into his hand to the side witch sounded a lot like the words "Liar." he cleared his throat before refacing the striped boil. "No need to get your boxers in a knot, I was joking about the cuddling thing." he said carefree, and oblivious to what happened while he was in dreamland.
"No need to get all defensive." he ushered to the boil before ducking his head at the sudden sound of the bird calls passing over his ears.

Ew. So yellow. Ewwwwww. His retinas were being burned out of their sockets. He wanted to puke, but not in front of the ghouls that were present. The brightness of the room seemed to increase the heat as well, causing him to put his hood down, revealing his golden locks.
"Ladies, I'd suggest covering your eyes. The gents will here will guide you through as long as this persists." He offered a hand to any ghoul willing to take it.
He agreed with Ulmuka, and made sure to keep his eyes and ears open, keeping his unoccupied hand in a tight fist. Next thing to surprise the group, he'd punch the lights out of. No more being a coward, not with women to protect and impress!

In response to Vero, Natalia placed the end of her tail in the offered hand and took a step toward his side.
There was an ever-present guilt hanging over the ghouls head. It had always been there, having so much to feel guilty for, but only just then was reminded of its power. The monster was such a push over at times.
"Here, it is alright." She cooed, yawning soon after and standing up on her toes for a stretch. Before they moved on Natalia scanned the room and faces for Merry, as well as any of the other stragglers that had joined their forces...Hopefully they would catch up soon!
The yellow room was, oddly enough, much brighter than the vivid pinks of those before it, and although she thought she would have been used to the hues by now, her eyes still shrunk into two slits, hands finding their way up to her forehead being ever so gentle. The other group that they had joined with had yet to be addressed, but the moment to do so passed as Muka spoke carefully of the room, and then Vero followed with a...curious comment.
Orange eyes set in black flicked toward the boils of the other party, not sure who Faintwas...having been distracted all the time before then.

As the hallway changed, Faint’s head throbbed in protest. His pupils narrowed and he squinted slightly, trying not to look directly at the yellow that was EVERYWHERE. So cheery. So painful. The birds gave him a little distraction, though. He flicked his tail excitedly and looks around. Birds? Prey. Hunt. He wanted to hunt them and crush them in his jaws and mmmm. His ears tried to move this way and that, but they were limited by his human form and Demi’s fingers. He even chattered a little bit, a quiet, eager noise. The tiger wanted to play. Violent, bloody birdy play.
However, the excitement could only last so long before they continued to ruin it for him. “I’m not compensating,” he repeated, eyes still searching for the source of the sounds. Where were they? Ugggh. “Keep suggesting that I am, and I might begin to think you’re hiding something of your own.” He harrumphed at the boxers suggestion. He was not getting defensive. He was… parading the truth.
He was aware of everyone else around them, but somehow if he didn’t acknowledge them just yet, the embarrassment of cuddling wouldn’t escalate into full scale humiliation.

Sebastian stared into the big, creepy house. It was really a nice house- whoever owned it must've been very proud. All of the decorations were so ... detailed- the rotting wood, the spider webs dangling at just the right angle. It was a work of art, one that Seb could appreciate.
He approached the door in a reticent manner- no need to go barging through. As he entered, he could hear voices of a few other people- perhaps other visitors and students, perhaps something else. That was the best part about haunted houses- no two were alike. There were always surprises to be found.
Once inside, Sebastian couldn't help but marvel at the design more. He always loved looking at designs and details and things, so the haunted house was a real treat.
He heard voices coming from both the stairway and the haunted house- seems like no matter where he went there would be a group of people. Seb gave a shrug and headed down the hallway. Might as well, right?

Everything in Thanatos' psyche told him that going into a large, foreboding structure such as the haunted house was truly a terrible idea. Mind, it seemed that a lot of people were rather attracted to it, and it was lauded as, well....er....just the regular sort of fun haunted house, if indeed there was any such thing in Halloween.
Ears flattened against his head, and he made a rather pathetic face at the front door of the establishment. ;___; Perhaps if he already looked terrified things would be less inclined to terrify him further, yes? No?
Paddering into the hallway, the Fae-hound, heard voices everywhere, friends giggling with one another, people who were probably running in sheer terror...that sort of thing. His tail now firmly betwixt his legs, paws tip-tapping on the floor as he made his way along the corridor, he looked to and fro in a rather wild fashion, not particularly keen on letting anything sneak up on him. "Nopenopenope." He murmured softly, reaching up to play with strands of hair nervously.
Honestly he didn't understand the appeal of these places, never had. Eventually, his own mind got the best of him, and he rather supposed that if he made a dash through the place, then he would be awarded his proverbial bravery card, and he could go to places with more light and less haunting decor. Bolting, the pup had absolutely no sense of direction (or depth perception for that matter), and it wasn't long before an obstacle present itself, one that he hadn't noted in his headlong charge (retreat?) down the hallway that now seemed everlasting.
Feet catching on something prone and warm, the wee male went tumbling with a rather undignified yelping sound, instantly in a heap of dust and cobwebs. O^O;;; Sitting there, stunned for a moment, splayed in a heap, he then slowly turned his head around to see what it was that he'd stumbled over.
OH JACK. IT WAS A BODY! OH JACK! Whimpering, he cautiously leaned forward, until he was lying on his belly facing the fallen stranger. There was, however, a rather familiar splash of color about her. "Please not to be deads." He murmured, dragging himself forward, just barely off the ground, to reach out one finger to oh so hesitantly poke at Merry's shoulder. This was just supposed to be an event right? D: NO ONE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD. "Do NOT be dead!!!" He pleaded, rather remembering the lass from the open house.
His father would have been most disappointed in his performance in the whole affair.
