It was all Cat could do not to roll his eyes at the girl. Which was an odd motion in itself considering his eyes were nothing but two dots of light, but none the less he held back.
"Did I hear correctly? You're a manticore?" He enquired curiously. He knew that species only very vaguely, from a single novel in the public library that included them. "Is it your species who enjoys riddles?"
He clapped politely as both the girls won themselves some candy, still not quite understanding the point of the (don't) whack a bunny game.

Who would've thought flipping tables was harder than flipping pancakes? What's up with that!
At the mention of riddles Aislin perked up a little bit. She clappity clapped her hands together as she skipped to the next booth. This was going pretty well. She had three candies, one left over from earlier. She must have forgotten she had it because she'd found it tucked into her bra when she'd gone to slip the other two pieces in for safe keeping.
"You know riddles? Ooo! Can we hear one? I love riddles."
Even as they spoke Ash moved to the next booth - the last one, in fact. She folded her table and prepared to flip. Her table managed to flip even MORE than it had last time, which made the banshee practically frolic. She skipped around over to Cat and promptly wrapped her arms around his neck from behind, leaning on his back. She reached into her bra and pulled out her candies, holding them on her palm for him to see. "I got four! Are Manticores also lucky?"
She decided that she officially liked Cady. The Monster ghoul might be a bit... talkative sometimes but overall pretty nice. And apparently a moderate source of good luck!

Who would've thought flipping tables was harder than flipping pancakes? What's up with that! Oh. Oh yeah. That Cat boil said the word.Riddles. Mmmm. Cady turned to him, in what she felt was slow motion, nearly vibrating with excitement. Her eyes opened wide. Wider. More widerer. She almost didn't notice when Ash asked if they could hear one. Almost. She reached in her pocket, frantically pulling out the scrap of paper she had prepared JUST for such an occasion. It was too bad her sphinx cousin wasn't here to see this, she thought sadly. But it was alright. She would impress them. She would WOW them all. Yes... She unfolded the torn parchment hurriedly, and prepared to Read. (Hey, it's ok on special occasions!) Squinting, and concentrating visibly, she recited slowly, "I'm like...Green...and not very...Mean? And I...do...on't. Wear. A. Girdle." "I like to... swim, but sometimes, I don't... cause... like. I'm a turtle." "WHAT AM I?" She finished dramatically, posing with her arms open. They must be SO IMPRESSED.She turned to play another game, figuring it would take them a while to solve it. It was a MIND BENDER, after all. She folded her piece of paper haphazardly, still shaking with barely contained enthusiasm, and gave it a good flick. IT FLIPPED 15 TIMES. This must be a good sign.

Cat stared.
And stared.
One of his eyes flickered a little, in some semblance of a twitch.
What on earth had he just heard? Certainly not a riddle. Asking a riddle was an art. A SACRED ART. It took knowledge and finesse, and a certain level of showmanship. What the ghoul before him had just done...
His eye flickered again.
He turned his head ever so slightly to look at Aislin, inquiring with the most intense stare he could muster, if they could PLEASE LEAVE. NOW. PLEASE. Not realizing, of course, that Ash had made friends with this ghoul and would either not want to leave her, or, the horror, bring her with them.

I'M SPINNING THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE~ OR IS IT SPINNING ME Wow. Aislin couldn't... couldn't even think of anything to say to that. Didn't she just give the answer with the riddle? The giggles started rising up slowly at first. Ash covered her grinning mouth which of course did nothing to stifle the chortles coming from her neck. She really liked this ghoul. " O-Oh snrhfhahah. Cady. Uhm. hehehahahehehee. I just. I don't know. Let me think about it?" The banshee, visibly shaking with the sustained laughter, wobbled over to the wheel of fortune. She put down a piece of candy, reached up, and couldn't hold it back any longer. With a positively ear-splitting screech of laughter she spun. ((My minipets name is sleepZombie ))

I'M SPINNING THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE~ OR IS IT SPINNING ME Ash had been laughing SO HARD that she'd missed the wheel not just once but two times before she finally managed to grab it and spin it. When she did she found herself in possession of a pretty blue cupcake. Yum. She put down another candy and reached up she went for another spin. ((My minipets name is sleepZombie ))

I'M SPINNING THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE~ OR IS IT SPINNING MECady smiled, beaming with pride. It seemed like BOTH her new friends were befuddled by her special Open House riddle. Ash seemed to have so much fun with it it sent her into a fit of giggles. She moved conspiratorially to whisper in Cat's ear, "The answer is turtle. I like turtles!" After all, she didn't want to discourage him. It was a real toughie. She would have to remember to make them a bit easier next time. Dancing away after that little favor, she moved to take her turn at the wheel. She grabbed the top spoke, giving it an enthusiastic whirl. She won a nyan cat! Was she allowed to eat it? Desu-chan, you're not hiding puppies in those teacups, are you?
Christof lurched forward after the mindflayer, but powered by the sugar she had obtained in her travels, she rushed ahead of the shambling Igor. Students and Visitors crossed between them and before he knew it... she was gone. And he was left standing, looking lost with his make-shift plate of brains. He needed to get her to eat them... immediately. But which booth had she gone to?
Before he knew it, he had stumbled upon.... the most frightening booth he had ever seen. And somehow the crowd had swept him up in it.
The brain on it's plate quivered like a jello-mold. Hell's... Bells...!
Trembling, he walked through the booth with the same glazed horror of human children in a haunted house, jumping with each cuter, fluffier thing until suddenly he spotted a HORRIBLE WRACK OF PINK AND PORCELAIN. Juggling the brain platter, he snatched up the nearest thing- a sugary sweet sticky icky sugar-cube. AAARG!! He threw it directly at the offending glassware with a startled squeak.
This was almost as bad as... as... CHRISTMAS!

I'M SPINNING THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE~ OR IS IT SPINNING MECady liked this wheel thing. It was like, you couldn't lose. She gave it another spin, but it was less forceful as she noticed her favorite patchwork boil from the fitness booth had found his way over here. "Oh! Hey! Funny to run into you here, you know! Oh, did you win anything yet? These games are so much fun. I really like games, back at home I would play lots only they mostly involved cards and didn't have a lot of neat prizes! Say, how did you get to leave the booth anyway? Does that mean no one is watching the equipment, because I kind of liked that little red hat I had and I was wondering if you had any extra." She positively beamed at him, and added, "Oh, and you just missed my riddle! I wrote one special JUST FOR THIS OCCASION!" Cady grinned. No one could ruin this mood. She looked back to see what she'd won - a random prize! She wondered what new and exciting thing it could be. ((My minis username is Ravvlet))
